Our family of five (2 parents, children 24 yrs, 22 yrs and 20 yrs) stayed at this apartment for five nights. It was a great quiet location with easy walking to all major sights. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping very close. There was plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances were all new and updated. Bedrooms and bathrooms quite comfortable and very clean. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment.

Very nice apartment in a charming, busy neighborhood area. Great access to shopping and restaurants. Great little coffee/wine/food establishment directly out the door. We spent countless hours early mornings and late evenings, a really fun place! The apartment was great for our family of four and Francesca made certain that we understood everything and was there for anything we needed. Highly recommedned!

This apartment and its location were everything we expected. The reviews and listing were all on target. The apartment was clean and everything was in running order. It was great to have a washing machine. Francesca was extremely helpful and prompt. It was especially nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist sites in Florence which we found overwhelmingly. We have traveled to Florence previously and have never seen crowds like this. We would definately recommend this apartment to any family traveling to Florence.

We had our family of five adults traveling in August, and this flat was in just the right location to retreat back to during the hot August afternoons to let our feet recover from much exploring. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit while in the city of Florence. Access to trains to go on day trips outside the city was also within a short distance. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, along with a well equipped kitchen for cooking in on the occasions we had to try fresh fish and produce from the local markets. We were also within short walking distances to some highly recommended restaurants in Florence -- one of which is in the square immediately adjacent to the apartment building. Also the best cappuccino and gelato in Florence are also available in the same square. The property managers were a delight to work with, and helpful with all sorts of information and helped us to the nearby market. It was very hot in August when we were there, and the air conditioning was a welcome feel, after staying at locations that had no ac. I would make this visit again!

My daughter, daughter-in-law, 17 year-old granddaughter and I spent a week here in late June and really loved it. The neighborhood is very "in," with charming shops, good local restaurants and a youthful residential population. It is only steps from the Ponte Vecchio and the Pitti Palace. The caretaker, Francesco, was helpful and the apartment was sparkling clean with a good modern kitchen. My only complaint is that the entrance to the building is both dirty and dark. The owners should demand a good clean-up and repainting of the building's entrance and the stairwell, and better lighting. Otherwise, this apartment is a real winner!

What a great place to stay - this property was better than expected, spacious, very comfortable and a superb location for walking to everything you would want to see in Florence. We were able to enjoy it for the first three weeks of June and it quickly felt like home. It was also so unique in that it gave you the feel of being in a small Italian village. The adjacent piazza was great for food, drink and most important, amazing gelato!! The best part of all was Francesca, the property manager who greeted us so warmly when we arrived and also helped us with recommendations and resources along the way - our family will certainly remember this time as our "best vacation ever" I highly recommend this property for anyone/family who wants to experience the best of Florence.

WOW! The most stressful thing about staying in this apartment was trying to work out which light switch controlled which light. We are a family of 6 and of our month in Italy, all of us deem our stay in Florence the most enjoyable, from our 6 yr old up. The house was like a home away from home with everything we needed in a comfortable, clean apartment. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see or anything we needed without the crush and noise of tourist hot spots. If ever we return to Florence, this would be our first preference of accommodation.

The apartment was spotless when we arrived and had every amenity we could want. The location couldn't be more convenient, a short walk to everything and a market, restaurants, etc. all within a few minutes stroll. There were six of us, including our two children (6 and 8) and the apartment had enough space so that everyone was comfortable and content.

I rented this property for 5 days over the Christmas Holiday for my family. My daughter is studying in Italy and we brought our two teenage boys to celebrate in Florence. The property is perfectly located as described. The owner could not have been better as we corresponded prior to our visit. Everything was clean and in perfect order when we arrived. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. In addition, we invited any student who did not have a place for Christmas dinner fo join us. We had a wonderful international Christmas dinner. I would reccomend this property without reservation. Every detail was excellent.

My wife, two sons and I recently stayed in this apartment and it was fantastic. The location can't be beat and it had all of the comforts we could have wanted. The apartment manager, Francesca, is delightful and extremely helpful. In the small piazza adjacent to the apartment is a wonderful restuarant, the Quatro Leoni. However, you will need reservations. I would certainly stay here again when in Florence.

My family of five enjoyed a four day stay in this lovely apartment. Francesca met us there and took time to explain all the appliances, utilities and nearby markets and restaurants. The kitchen is fully equipped, although we frequented the many area restaurants and cafes. The bedrooms are quiet as they all face the inner courtyard. The baths were very clean (one is compact) and the floors gleamed in the halls. The internet connection was slow, but that is common for the city. We easily walked everywhere, the apartment is just a minute from the Ponte Vecchio. The apartment was a great choice for our family.

In July 2009 our group of five people spent 5 nights in this lovely and spacious apartment. The apartment was in a great location and we could easily walk to everything or to a bus stop very close by. We had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable including a laptop for our use. Francesca was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again on a future visit to Florence.

We agree with all of the positive comments. We stayed for four nights with three children. The apartment is large, spotless, and well equipped. The kitchen is top end. Francesca the manager and Stefano the owner were very easy to work with and quite helpful. The location is perfect. This was an extremely fun place to stay. We would definitely return. Finally, Quattro Leone, the restaurant referred to by other visitors, is the best place we ate at in Italy. The food and service was comparable to places like the Union Square Cafe in New York (at a fraction of the cost).

This is a superb apartment: it is the second time we have rented it, and hope it won't be the last! It is very comfortable for up to seven, and the back-up is very efficient. The position could not be better for the visitor to Firenze: it is a very short walk to each of the Ponte Vecchio, Ufizzi, Pitti, Boboli, Palazzo Vecchio, Museum of Science, Santo Sprito, Santa Carmine, etc. etc. A VERY big "plus" is that a funky Cafe is just outside the lower front door, an alimenteri next door, three more within a block, Post office around the corner, and one of the best Restaurants in Firenze ( Quatro Leone) is in the Piazza, less than seventy steps away from the door. (Yet, because of its construction and elevation, the apartment itself is quiet and restful). Being in the Oltrarno, there are silversmiths, jewellers, glass- fabric- and graphic- artists all around, and all friendly.A perfect position for the visitor, and Francesca made sure we were comfortable and informed.

This apartment was a perfect place to stay in Florence. It was well equipped and very well located. We walked to everything. Elise and Francesca were wonderful. The only thing that would have been good to know ahead of time was where to find a grocery store - we found 2 eventually. We enjoyed not only the nearby restaurants, but making some light meals in the apartment. I would recommend this apartment highly!

We were all delighted with our stay in this wonderfully well kept, well equipped apartment. Although our group had 4 adults and 4 children, it was very comfortable. The pictures posted don't do it justice, the apt. looks much more impressive in reality. The bathrooms were clean (though one was a little tight), the kitchen will beckon you to cook, and the entertainment center will allow you to just sit and relax. Very centrally located. Francesca was wonderful and extremely helpful. We would return here again. Thank you so much for a memorable stay.

Stefano and Francesca, Thanks again for the lovely stay in your apartment. We agree totally with the other statements about the convenient location and the internet access and the wonderful Quatro Leoni. Also, having a land telephone line helped with free communication with others in our party. A hint, if you want to take the bus to the train station, head for the stop AWAY from the Ponte Vecchio. The stop near there goes in a figure 8 and takes at least 20 minutes. The stop by the other bridge takes you right to the station. The apartment was so comfortable we didn't want to leave!! The apartment we have used on our prior visits to Florence was not available for this trip but that VRBO owner suggested this property (9714). It turned out to be a splendid replacement, well furnished, extremely light and airy and very convenient (walking distance) to all the the sites and places of Florence to which we have become accustomed. Markets were nearby (one just two doors away) and the kitchen was very well equipped. The wireless internet was a godsend for allowing me to keep in touch with my e-mails and if you don't bring your own laptop, they have a PC there you can use to check e-mails. Very well thought out accomodations. The "Second" bath was on the small side so the four of us ending up having to share the "master bath" but this was a minor inconvienence when you look at the rest of the apartment and the price we paid. We highly recommend this property. Thanks for Francesca for meeting us and getting us settled and acclimated to the apartment and area. Tom and Robin Richmond, VA

This is a wonderful, well-appointed, and exceptionally quiet flat. The owner has gone to great length to make sure that NOTHING is missing that would detract from your stay. The neighborhood, which we already knew, is the best in the city with at least 10 top flight restaurants within a 5 minute walk, including likely the best which is a full 50' from the front door. The caretaker, Francesca, could not be more helpful. This is the perfect flat for an extended visit to Florence and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The photos really don't do it justice - it's very, very nice, plenty of space - feels very home away from home. The location is PERFECT, within walking distance to everything with some lovely little shops and a FANTASTIC restaurant/cafe directly out the front door that has the BEST "Ribolita" (bread soup)you will ever taste in your life... We had no trouble at all, everyone around us was lovely and friendly - we would go back again tomorrow if we could!

We stayed in this Florence apartment for close to two months. It was perfect for us and the location was great. The cafe below had some of the freshest lunches and one of the nicest owners. The apartment is just out of the masses of people but close enough to walk to the train station. Noise was never a problem if the windows are closed during the night concerts nearby. Francesca is kind, friendly and helpful. The kitchen had all of the utensils an d gadgets that we needed to do daily cooking. Our three children and us lived very well here.

We stayed in the apartment March 28-April 4th 2007. We were worried when we first saw the place from the outside as it looked dingy and there was construction scaffolding. But, it turned out to be quiet, clean, spacious and well-equipped. We were 2 adults and 3 children and had plenty of room to spread out. The location couldn't be better--on a quiet piazza with a great restaurant "Ristorante Quatro Leone", a bar and small market. In one direction was a short walk to local stores and restaurants where we could practice our Italian and meet locals, just three blocks away was the hustle and bustle of Ponte Vecchio with all the sights, including the train station within walking distance. Francesca, the manager, was really nice and spoke excellent English. This was definitely two thumbs up!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The kitchen, living area, large bath and bedrooms were perfect for our party of 5. Everything we needed was provided, and Francesca, the housekeeper, was very sweet. We were very glad to have internet access to stay in touch with people and business back home. We loved the quiet, quaint neighborhood and the little shops and restaurants. It was so convenient to everything we wanted to see and very comfortable. It would have been nice to get a few English TV stations, other than news, but watching German and Italian TV added to the charm. We found we could manage with 1 1/2 baths quite well and never got the courage to try the shower in the smaller bath. It did look, however, like it would be fine, so long as you remember to remove all paper goods before turning it on! We would certainly stay here again, especially when travelling with a family. A real find!

LOVED the apartment! Our 3 kids had plenty of room to spread out and play. The kitchen was great, although the dishwasher was broken (repairman was coming the day we left), and doing dishes by hand was no problem. Internet access was appreciated by all. Location was great. Jazz festival in piazza was loud (we could hear it perfectly with the windows closed), but the music was very good and didn't last too late, so we enjoyed it. Shower door was difficult to operate, especially for our 9 year old. We would definitely rent again! Thank you!

Our family of 4 and my in-laws (total of 6 people) stayed in this apartment in June of 2006. We had a great experience and highly recommend this property. Its location is perfect. . . very close to Ponte Vecchio and the Pitti Palace. You get a great feel for living in Florence as you are placed among the "locals." The apartment is set up nicely and seems very large and modern for European standards. Having never been to Italy I contemplated staying in a hotel instead of an apartment, but I'm really glad we made this choice.

We stayed here at the start of autumn for 5 days and were extremely happy with the apartment. It is so quiet and spacious and had everything we needed to cater for ourselves - a morning spent shopping at the central mercato for fresh produce and then coming home to cook up a storm in the well appointed kitchen was just one of the great experiences of our stay in Firenze! Stefano (the owner)and Beatrice (the house manager) were both very helpful and so easy to deal with. The apartment location is perfect - the centre is within easy walking distance and there are many small cafes and shops close by plus an Internet Train - handy if (like us) you haven't brought your laptop with you. We would definately stay here again and we recommend it.

We were very happy with this apartment. It is in a very good location but it is also quiet inside. There were many things that we appreciated about the apartment: the location, the wonderfully equipped kitchen, the ADSL line, the quiet bedrooms, the air conditioning, the satellite TV with English-language stations, the washing machine, the dishwasher. Also, there was plenty of hot water for 6 adults. The only drawback was that there were only two sets of keys. I would suggest to the owners to allow 6 people to have at least 3 sets of keys. This minor point would not keep me from staying there again, however. I would gladly stay here again and heartily recommend it.

we loved the appartment. the location was outstanding... close to all the great sites. a 2 min. walk to the ponte vecchoi and 3 to the uffizi. the location was good since we were traveling with my inlaws... mother in law in a wheelchair father in law shoud have been in a w/chair and sister in law on a cane. even so we were readily able to access the sites. we really enjoyed the activity of the piazzetta 20 m. away. drinks were had nightly at the bar across the vicolo. we had coffee daily at the very pleasant torre cafe on the way to town. my wife and i have had appartments on 2 other trips to florence and this had the best location. the kitchen was nice and well equiped. the t.v worked but was not connected to the dish so no english stations. the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were v. small. the master bath was the best we have had on any of aor appartment stays throughout italy. the second bath was so small it was not uese as anything other than a toilet. the common area was ample and we enjoyed people-watching out the windows. however there is not a view of the city or a balcony. the lady that handled our check in and check our was great. she was on time and handled it well. we even called for siteseeing guidance mid-stay and she had the information requested. we would give it a big thumbs up

Our month's stay in Florence was magnificent, and our accommodations were perfect. The location is premier (walking distance to everything, but insulated from the tourist confusion), the apartment layout is incredibly comfortable (with a kitchen to die for), and the relationship with Olivia (the person who will see that all is OK) is worth the trip in itself. I treated myself, my daughters and sons-in-law, and my granddaughter to a month in Florence, and it worked because of this unit. I recommend it most highly.

Olivia, a very charming and helpful hostess, was there to greet us when we arrived and got us settled into the apartment. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 5 persons. The location of the apartment was outstanding with convenient access to shopping, museums and restaurants. Our experience with the owner, agent and the apartment far exceeded our expectations. What can we say??? My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this amazing centrally located apartment in Florence (seconds to the Ponte Vecchio) in June of 2004. Not only could you easily walk to any and everything in Florence, there was the convenience of a market on the corner and (most importantly) an excellent cafe right out your front door. Besides the easy access to the morning espresso or cappachino at the cafe, it was also easy to make in the fully equiped kitchen. A large Thanksgiving dinner or cocktail party would be easy if not a delight to host from this kitchen. The place is exquisite, spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. We would highly recommend it to anyone - it's a great way to stay out of a "hotel" and get a true feel for Florentine life.

Our family felt at home in this relaxing and spacious apartment. In contrast to the common and meagerly equipped rental, this home provides a wide variety of quality household appliances, kitchen utensils, comfortable beds and tasteful décor. One side of the home is located on pedestrian street and the other wraps around a interior courtyard. This configuration provides windows throughout so you not only have plenty of light and ventilation but also completely escape that boxed in feeling you get from apartments that share common walls. As Architect’s, we also appreciated the thoughtfulness in design and quality of the finishes. In terms of location, it is well situated for enjoying the cities finer attractions, restaurants and shopping. Beyond the physical qualities of this place, the kindness and helpfulness of both the home owner and his agent made the whole experience much more of a friendly experience than a business one. And perhaps one of my dinner guests said it well, “if I lived in Florence, I’d like to live here.”
