Great Place for a Ski Vacation

Photos are accurate and we were not disappointed when we arrived. Owner was great to work with- very prompt via email and other correspondence. The layout of the house is wonderful- with two banks of rooms at opposite ends of the house no one felt as though they were on top of each other. The house is very well stocked- firewood, 3 coffee pots, tons of kitchen gadgets and cook and serveware. The sauna and hot tub were wonderful after a day of skiing and snowboarding. The views of the lake from the deck and house are gorgeous, we saw some of the most beautiful sunrises ever and the night skies are spectacular. The one guest that stayed downstairs said he was warm with the potbellied stove on and he slept comfortably on the futon. We all agreed this was a special place that we'd love to come back to soon.

We drove to Tahoe with grand expectations of the house due to the pictures and descriptions on this website; we were not let down. In fact, our expectations were surpassed and we were floored by how impressive the house actually is. It is amazingly cozy, room for everyone comfortably, while still maintaing comfortable spaciousness. We were in the house for 4 nights and 5 days and it was an amazing experience. The jacuzzi and spa are so wonderful after a day of snowboarding. Relaxing on the humongous couches with the fireplace roaring and the HD television going is pristine. The renovations are beautiful; kitchen and bathrooms are amazing. I highly recommend this place for any vacation to Tahoe; it is in a wonderful location and the views of the lake and the quietness of the neighborhood provide for beauty and seclusion. Definitely coming back!

All sixteen family members that came together for an autumn reunion at this comfortable and inviting home raved about it. There was something here for all ages, interests, and levels of activity. The home is beautifully maintained with attention to detail seen in a quality hotel. We all slept beautifully in very comfortable beds with quality linens. Generous, well-apppointed bathrooms guaranteed no waiting, while the amply stocked kitchen allowed us to cook all meals communally with room for some to visit while others worked. Website description and photos were thorough and accurate, which made planning for the trip a breeze. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful from start to finish. We hope to enjoy this house again for future reunions, and recommend experiencing it at least once in every season!

The description and photos for this property are right on target. The house was even more appealing in actuality. Most in our group still live in Vermont and had never been to Lake Tahoe.so to be in a house with a view of the Lake was heavenly. We all found it so attractive, comfortable and inviting Those who spent only one or two nights with us regretted they had not planned on staying longer. Many went river rafting on the Truckee, and some even took a few days to see Yosemite. Since we were there for our daughter's wedding, our social gatherings left no time to check out the restaurant recommendations except for the "Fire Sign Cafe" which was so crowded on Sunday morning that we went "home" and fixed our own breakfast. Such wonderful memories we have! We definitely will recommend this property to all our friends and relatives who are looking for such a place.

Our Special House

This beautiful home has been the location for our annual Tahoe weekend getaway for so many years we have lost count! We just got back from what we think might be our 15th year.... our group of twelve old friends (six couples) have been renting this special home for the past 15 years. It is the perfect place for a reunion of friends, families, a girls getaway, etc. The house is great for large groups because there are several levels to the house --some can be playing pool downstairs, others can be playing games (great poker table!) on the main floor, some can be in the hot tub or lounging on the deck and people can be cooking and others can watching TV-- there is plenty of space for all the activities. The owners are so nice and easy to communicate with and the house is very well maintained. The house has been recently updated with beautiful slate floors, new carpeting, renovated bathrooms (there are five!) and it is gorgeous, yet very comfortable. This house is a very special place and we plan to continue to come here for many more years. Very highly recommended!!!!!

This is our 4th year spending President's weekend in Tahoe and everyone agreed this was the best house we've stayed in! Their home is absolutely beautiful and completely stocked. They have thought of everything. The 2 master suites are ideal for families with small children. The ski hill in back is a real bonus. We could watch the kids play from several rooms in the house. Great view from the hot tub and the adults really enjoyed the sauna. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. Can't say enough good things. We'll be back next year!

My friends and I came here for our 10th annual holiday reunion party, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Beautiful views of the lake, plenty of beds, huge entertaining space, and even a hot tub and sauna to boot! Great location, and very nicely decorated. We will definitely come back.

The photos do no justice for this home. There are alot of new upgrades not shown in the photos. The view from the deck is beautiful and relaxing. The home is tucked away in a nice quiet nieghborhood within walking distance to the beach. The home was PERFECT for our family of 16 getting together. Kept everyone from age 3 to 45 entertained and happy! Thank you again, Van Family July 2009
