As the plane lands, you see the spectacular Azure Sea. Then you get off the plane and smell the air and feel the fresh breeze. Next you take a bus or taxi to Old Nice, a walled-in city built centuries ago. You make your way to Place Vieille, a small courtyard next to the Place Rossetti. You enter the 18th century building and see the restored frescoes on the staircase leading to the second floor.
You are not in Kansas anymore! The apartment is a perfect blend of old world charm (15 foot high waffled ceiling)with all the modern conveniences including a five CD stereo system with speakers in three rooms, TV, DVD player, fax machine, internet accessible, washer/dryer, and AIR CONDITIONING! You are two minutes from the beach/sea, two minutes from the most extraordinary outdoor food market (every day but Monday when it is an outdoor flea market), two minutes from great restaurants, bars, jazz clubs, opera house and five minutes from the bus station which can take you anywhere in the South of France (and beyond). |
