Location: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Caribbean (Puerto Plata airport 20 minutes)

Villa Aguila is located on the highest point of Altos de Cofresi, at an elevation of about 600 feet, overlooking Cofresi Beach and the new Ocean World Marina... To the east, the whole city of Puerto Plata (three miles away) can be seen, with views extending all the way to Sosua and Cabarete. To the south, Puerto Plata Mountain and beautiful hills extend all the way to the west coast. Enjoy a full 360-degree vista, which is particularly spectacular at night time.

The villa was almost completely rebuilt in 2005 to a very high standard. All rooms have coastal views. The upper roofed balcony is over 50 foot long and usually has lovely warm coastal breezes. All rooms have screens on the doors and windows. The bedrooms all have ceiling fans, and two have air conditioning (but we doubt you will need it). The second jetted pool (heated) is half-shaded in case you find the sun too hot, and the water runs down a waterfall under a bridge to the main 60 foot pool.

We can arrange to pick you up at the airport and any other travel needs, such as a car rental, etc., as well as arranging any other activities during your stay. A chauffeur-driven service is available per day or for your entire visit if needed.

Our friendly on-site maintenance man Rafael, looks after the pools and garden and is there to help you with anything you may need, as well as doing any small errands. There is a night watchman from dusk till dawn.

Aleyda is our experienced cook who will prepare and cook your food and keeps the villa clean and neat. She prepares some superb Dominican and international dishes. Meals can be eaten in the dining room or outside on the balcony.

We have a custom built games and entertainment room as well as high speed internet access.

There are many good local restaurants nearby all within walking distance. Cofresi Beach is a 10 minute walk away and has nearly a mile of golden sand. The beach is also used by the award winning Sun village complex with its new spa complex and next door is Ocean world (swim with the dolphins) and the new marina with casino,night club and restaurant.

The villa is very private and not overlooked by anyone but at the same time is within easy reach of Puerto Plata and all its amenities as well as many other tourist attractions. For those that want to be active there is so much to do and all within a short distance.

  • Six of us stayed at the villa for 2 weeks in January of 2009. We had a wonderful time. The staff did a great job of looking after us. We really participated fully in what the local area had to offer. We went out on ATVs, did the city tour, visited Santa Domingo, went out on a catarmaran, did the Safari tour, went to Ocean World, saw the casino, attended to the Bravissimmo show & went deep sea fishing as well. But the highlight of our visit was Villa Aguila.It was a wonderful place to call home for our 2 week stay in DR.

  • I just got back from a fantastic stay at Eagle Villa, and it was exactly what I and my party needed. The most perfect vacation I've had thus far. The villa is located at the top of a hill with a lovely view of Puerto Plata and some of its beaches and its location is the ultimate blend of privacy and proximity to everything. The only thing that could possibly have topped the location was the very friendly staff who cooked our delicious meals and cleaned and maintained the villa. I will definitely be returning in the future, as soon as possible.

  • Well what can I say regarding my stay at Eagle Ville except it was exactly what the doctor ordered. The location of the Villa is perfect a perfect Combination of privacy and luxury. The location can't really be topped, it is located at a top of a picturesque hill overlooking the scenic landscape of Puerto Plata. I and my party enjoyed well over a fortnight stay. The staff of the villa took great care of all our needs during our stay. I would also recommend to anyone to use the services of the in-house cook which prepared excellent meals for us.   • What a fabulous villa! The views were breathtaking and we never could get enough of sitting on the verandah just staring off into the beautiful views. The pool was delightful and was never too warm. We were there in August and it was hot hot hot out. But the pool was so refreshingly cool. Our cook was great. She was not the "regular" one, but she was so conscientious and hard working. Always preparing our food or cleaning the villa. We never felt that she was in the way and just always wanted to please us. Ramone, who takes care of the grounds, pool and runs errands if you would like him to was great as well. We always felt safe with our night watchman as well. Overall, we would definitely go back and stay.....the worst part is leaving.   • What a fantastic Villa! My party and I had such a wonderful time during our stay. The views were great, the pool and jacuzzi were fabulous, and the breeze was refreshing. Aleyda, Yanni, and Rafael took care of out every need without delay, and Aleyda can really really cook! This house makes me want to never stay at a resort again. Glen was very nice and easy to deal with, there were no problems with the whole booking process, thanks again Glen!

  • We came and relaxed and had a wonderful time. The staff was remarkable and the food was excellent. It has the best views and breezes off of the ocean. The house has views and sitting areas all over the place for privacy. We had all the comforts of home. I enjoyed the zero entry pool and swam everyday. I cannot wait to return. Thanks Glen.
