A Great Get-away
From our Guest Log:"Thank you for sharing your property. It is a special place away from all the cares in the world. I left renewed! Just to be surrounded by nature, to see the eagle and find its nest, the call of the loons, the quiet, the chance to kayak as long as I wanted. Friends and family have said that I look rested and refreshed. I have told them all that they need to do the same thing!"

Also used as launch point to visit Moosehead Lake
Had a wonderful stay. Had company with hauntingly beautiful loons. Enjoyed the lake for a beautiful morning paddle. Went up the lake and swung from the rope swing. Looking forward to returning.

Great Family and Friends Gathering
We had a lovely time at your cabin. We made trips to Round Top Ice Cream every night, lots of fishing, boating, water skiing, wake boarding and surfing behind the boat. The bunk house was perfect for teenage girls and the beds were very comfy. Damariscotta is our favorite lake and village- delicious meal at King Eider's Pub and Sarah's Cafe in Wiscassett, try the Haddock Matey! All of us had a blast on the rope swing; we got quite some height. Judy & Wilt were gracious hosts and we enjoyed meeting the grandchildren from Germany! Thank you for a lovely week, we'll be back!

"Thank you Judy and Wilt for our fantastic stay at the JENKZ Cottage. We couldn't have asked for a better location for our "guys' get-a-way". My sons and I spent a wonderful time together swimming, boating, watching the fireflies, exploring local sights and eating seafood. The cottage and bunkhouse were always waiting for us at the end of each adventurous day. We loved the access to the water and, with it, the call of the loons at night. We'll be back to share our secret place with their mother."

"The end of a truly wonderful week of peaceful sleep, lazy reading, boating adventure, rain and sun!...together we ignited an interest in fishing...made 2 trips to the rope swing...ate Round Top Ice Cream, shopped at Mexicali Blues and Discovered [historic] St. Patrick's Church. Although we are not "from away" this getaway was a great retreat from our normal routine and allowed us to unplug many electronics. Judy & Wilt have been the most gracious hosts and we enjoyed their hospitality and are grateful to share in the history of JENKZ cottage."

Our stay at JENKZ Cottage was wonderful! We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of Damariscotta Lake. It allowed us time to rest, renew and reflect while listening to the loons' song or refreshing rain. How lucky we were to have many sunny days, too, so we could play in the lake. Thank you, Judy & Wilt, for a perfect Maine vacation! You are superb hosts and, most important wonderful friends. We look forward to our next visit to the JENKZ Cottage, which can't soon enough.

We enjoyed two peaceful weeks in the JENKZ Cottage. It was the perfect place to unwind and regroup during a very difficult and complicated time in our family. The warmth and generosity of our host Judy & Wilt made us feel very welcome, and at the same time we always felt our privacy was respected. We loved the freedom of swimming in Damariscotta Lake, and at the end of a day of exploring the area, it was wonderful to return to the serene little cottage, and know that ...we could spread out in the bunk house. We loved hearing the loons at night and waking to the picture window of trees in the bedroom. Thanks to Judy & Wilt for everything. We're leaving in the morning and hope we can squeeze in just one more swim.

Easy Summer Get Away
Easy Summer Get Away
We had a great time at the cottage. It was peaceful, very comfortable, super clean and accommodating. We loved the wooden deck with a picnic table and grill near by. And most of all we loved the dock over the lake. We spent as much time as possible on this dock, swimming, sunbathing, reading, admiring the loons and the stars. The bunk house is also a brilliant part of the deal. It's very cozy and incredibly charming. The bunk house really feels like a summer adventure in the woods. We were just a couple and two friends, but this would be a great place for a family to stay. Judy and Wilt are very friendly, helpful and attentive. We also loved the town of Damariscotta. We rented a paddle board from Mid Coast Kayaks who had reasonable prices. And we had the best lobster rolls in the state of Maine at Larson's Lunchbox. This a great, easy and beautiful place to stay and visit.

First Visit to Lake DamariscottaGuest comment entered by manager
First Visit to Lake Damariscotta
On arrival, the cloudy day did not keep us from a swim in beautiful, silky, warm Lake Damariscotta. We swam in the rain with the setting sun, rented a paddle board, visited Boothbay Harbor, loved lobster roll at Larsons Lunchbox, loved our friends the loons. There is no finer water than in this lake. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at JENKZ Cottage with loons, silvery moonlight, cookouts, friendly times with old dear friends. Thanks for a lovely stay in Maine. It was the quintessential Maine experience. We swam to the rope swing and ate wild blue berries. It was just amazing! Thanks for such a lovely stay at JENKZ Cottage. I could not ask for a better first time in Maine! What lakeside fun and beauty.
