We have stayed here multiple times, and each time, find everything to be perfect. This is a beautiful cabin, with a great view. The cabin is private and in a great location in Maggie Valley. We have stayed at other cabins, before we ever stayed here. After the first time staying here, we knew there is no where else we need to stay. With three little ones, the cabin is safe and secure without any steep drops in the yard. The first level is their paradise, with the air hockey table, pool table and foosball table. Plus, the covered wagon beds are a HUGE hit as well, and we don't even have to fight to get them to go to bed. The cabin is beautifully furnished and always clean. The owner is extremely easy to work with and very responsive to questions / concerns. I look forward to returning to this cabin every year, at least once a year. We simply will NOT stay anywhere else but here.

We just stayed there 8-20-11 thru 8-26-11. If you have teenagers, children, young adults it would be awesome because the game room is awesome and is downstairs. Great house for big families. It was just 2 of us (I know crazy) but our son backed out at the last minute. We enjoyed the porch, and view. It was a very awesome place to stay. The Whites, Alachua, Fl

Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay in this lovely and fully equiped mountain home in December. The children loved the loft area and we all enjoyed the game room! It was large enough that no one felt crowed and the concensus by all was that we return again soon!! Thank you, Marlene, for sharing your wonderful home with us! -- The Rose Family

I just have to say that your house was just perfect for our trip to Maggie Valley! What a spectacular view! It was very comfortable and roomy for three couples. We found the house very clean. It had a wonderfully equipped kitchen and we spent our evenings at the house cooking and enjoying the fireplace. Very beautifully decorated. It was in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities. We spent an afternoon on the Blue Ridge Parkway and pulled over for a picnic lunch and hiking. We also enjoyed the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City - only approx. 45 min from the house. What a treat! Also enjoyed the drive to the Cataloochee Valley to see the Elk up close. What a beautiful sight! The only complaint I have is we didn't stay long enough! We will come back again!!

We had our extended-family vacation here Aug. 7-14 and couldn't have been more pleased. The home is exactly as presented on the website; no surprises, except for the spectacular views. There is a King-size master suite on each level (bottom level bedroom has a full/queen futon as well) and two covered-wagon (twin) beds in the loft. The children (ages 4-14) had a blast in the gameroom - (pool table; air hockey; foosball; gaming table) and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, dishtowels, tupperware, etc. Could probably use a few more pots and pans, but what is there suited our needs. The living/dining/kitchen open floor plan allows room for everyone to spread out but is still conducive for interacting with one another. The living room is very comfortable. I loved the fact that this was a videogame-free vacation! We played cards and board games at night; outdoor activities during the day. For things to do in the area, I would suggest a day of "retail therapy" and lunch in downtown Waynesville for the ladies/adults. The children enjoyed swimming at Sliding Rock and the waterfalls at Pisgah, and fishing in a nearby trout-stocked pond. We ventured to Fontana Lake where they had an awesome ride on Jet Boats and went gem mining. Cherokee is nearby and offers many attractions, including Harrah's Casino, Oconaluftee Islands Park, Ocanaluftee Indian Village, Museum of the Cherokee, "Unto These Hills" outdoor drama and tons of souvenir shopping. If you want to purchase Cherokee-made items, go to the Qualla Arts & Crafts center across from the museum (downtown shops are somewhat cheesy and all items are made overseas). Although we did not go there, I understand that Dollywood is within a 2 hr. drive, and Asheville is only about 25 miles away. I highly suggest checking out TripAdvisor.com for reviews on the area's attractions. If I had an issue with anything, it would be with the roads in the area - extremely narrow and steep, but that is obviously something the owner cannot control! Marlene was a pleasure to deal with; very honest, responsive and professional. I would certainly stay in this home again and can recommend it to others without hesitation.

Beautiful place to stay! Great location and wonderful service from the Suarez Team. The house has all of the amenities that make it easy cook, surf the web, and get a good nights rest. The house is conveniently located in the center of it all. If you are looking to be within easy driving distance to fishing, golf, small town atmosphere, a casino, Native American life, and of course Wal-Mart then this is a great location. Hope to return sometime in the near future.

Thank you so much for the rental of your beautiful home. Everything was top shelf, from the linens, to the dishes, to the furniture. We stayed for a month and took advantage of the opportunities available from all your brochures. The view was lovely and the weather could not have been better. Thank you again, and we hope to return.

What a wonderful place to stay! We had the pleasure of reserving Casa with a View during a recent Corvette show with another couple. The house is beautifully decorated with many extra touches that made our stay special. There was a master bedroom suite on each of the three levels that gave us all room and privacy. We enjoyed the fireplaces, movies and gameroom and can't wait to come back next year for a longer stay! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home.

I planned a Grand Family Reunion, which meant that we had all ages come and visit throughout the month. The first week there were children who loved the covered wagons to sleep in. The three bedrooms offered privacy and are spacious. The bathrooms were well appointed.......laundry room was very convenient and we enjoyed the hot tub, even tho it was summer! I was in touch with Marlene a couple of times and she was very responsive and helpful. The views are spectacular and I would stay here again and again. It is on three levels, so bear that in mind if stairs are an issue. Lovely neighborhood, but no other houses are visible from this house in summer.

Good space for large groups and well located for mountain actives. The three master suites were spacious and well decorated. The mastresses are very, very firm with nice linens. The common areas need a bit of updating ... mainly the electronics and furniture however it was suitable and comfortable for 9 people. Cooking accessories are substandard and in need of replacement. The can opener would not work properly and the cookware is dated and of poor quality. The gas grill did not cook evenly but did work. The hot tub appears to be poorly maintnaned and lacks proper cleaning. This property needs some much needed and required maintenance, decorative updates, and proper cleaning. The game room is great except for the pool sticks and hanging rack. Both need repair. I've stayed at other rental cabins that appear to be much more suited for rental vistors. This unit appears to be a family cabin that someone decided to rent on the side. With updating and ocassional maintenance, the property could be much nicer for vacation rental. Everyone enjoyed the trip and the mountain cabin experience. I would recommned the unit for large groups that are looking for a conveniently located rental property near NC's best sights and activities.
Owner response:This is the first bit of negative feedback the cabin has ever received. The cabin is only 1.5 years old and strictly a vacation rental. All items in the home are only 1.5 years old and certainly not in need of an upgrade. For sure, this cabin is not the Ritz Carlton, nor does have Ritz Cartlon amenities. It is a vacation home in the mountains with wonderful views and well maintained. Any issued ever found while in the cabin are always addressed immediately. This is the only communication ever received from this renter. He did not call once while in the cabin to address any issues.

We visited this home for our annual family get-away. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for us, as all 3 of the adult couples had their own king bedroom and bathroom, the 2 older children slept in the awesome wagon beds in the loft, and the 2 year old slept on the futon in her parent's room. The living room and dining area were large enough for us to all be together without being in each others' way, and the kitchen was appropriately supplied. The game room in the basement was an awesome way for us to spread out, and it gave us something fun to do when the weather wasn't good for being outside. We also really enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace, hot tub and wireless Internet connection. The view from the living room and front porch was wonderful - we could see right down the valley and into the distant mountains. The home was within a short distance of a grocery store, restaurants, and Cataloochee Ski Resort. We had a wonderful time, and we would definitely consider staying at this home again.

We rented Casa with a View for a family reunion. Our party consisted of 6 adults (2 elderly) and 5 children. Finding the home was difficult, as the road was poorly marked. Roads were very steep, with tight turns, and 4-wheel drive would be a must in the winter. However, once you finally get to the house, the view was worth the trouble. The house was decorated beautifully. There were many upgrades in the fixtures, counter tops, etc that made the home feel very luxurious. The gameroom in the lower level was a retreat for the kids. They had plenty of room to spread out their toys, a TV for their cartoons, and game tables to keep them busy. King-size beds in every room was nice. Kids room in the loft was very cute, but could use a futon for additional space. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. Kitchen was decently equipped, although knives were terrible, and it could use additional cookie sheets. The main inconvenience with the house were the steep, narrow stairs from the driveway to the main floor. We had a very tough time getting larger items into the house. The stairs were also tough for the grandparents to climb. I also did not like the outlets in the loft, as they stuck up from the floor, and were tripped on several times. The house was very conveniently located in Maggie Valley. There was shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores within a 5 minute drive. We were able to visit Chimney Rock (40 min) and Ghost Town (5 min). Many great places to hike, white water raft, and tour close by. All in all, we were extremely pleased with this rental property, and hope to stay here again in the future.

Our family (6 adults, 3 children) had a wonderful time at Casa with a View. The cabin is beautifully decorated, very clean, and well equipped. After many years of going to the beach, we decided to do something different this year. We had so much fun that we have decided to go back next summer.

We stayed at Casa with a view for Thanksgiving weekend 2006 along with friends that flew down from NY. It was awesome! We had a great time and an unforgettable Thanksgiving. The views from the house were great, the house itself is spacious and comfortable, tastfully decorated, clean and well equipped. Thank you Marlene for welcoming us into your mountain home. We definitely hope to visit again.

We stayed at this lovely, spacious home 2/1-2/8/07. We were a family celebrating a special BIG birthday. We had snow twice and we enjoyed the skiing/tubing nearby. Great bedrooms with privacy for all. Great place to see the Superbowl, play games and relax. My grandson (3)loved the wagon beds and everyone the game tables and jacuzzi. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. Looked at many others and we were not disappointed when we arrived late. Just the right elevation. Thanks Marlene!
