This secluded log chalet on Lake Michigan's wooded shores is 1/2 mile off the highway. It features a beautiful fireplace, sleeping for eight, a full kitchen, and decks on two sides overlooking the lake. Lawn furniture and two log swings overlook 200' of lake frontage where the swimming is good. The water is shallow for hundreds of feet, making it perfect for children and dogs to play in. There is a firepit on the beach, along with another one near the deck, with firewood provided. Thimbleberries and raspberries are abundant, with eagles, deer, hummingbirds, chipmunks, squirrels, woodpeckers, and other wildlife which will delight you!
The living/dining room has a fireplace, a couch, chairs, tables, a satellite TV & VCR, a desk with videos and books, a table which seats eight, and a bay window and French doors overlooking the deck and the lake. The master bedroom with a queen bed and dresser and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and washer/dryer are on the main floor. The kitchen includes everything for cooking and baking--a microwave, stove, large refrigerator, pots & pans, small appliances, dishes, utensils, spices and some cooking basics such as flour and sugar, along with a built-in desk and plentiful cupboards.
Stairs lead up to the loft which has three twin beds, a rocker, a dresser, and a game table and chairs with puzzles and games. Stairs lead to the cool lower level where there is a TV room with a futon which becomes a double bed, a game room with table and chairs, a bedroom with a queen bed and dresser, and another bathroom with a large shower with seats. A crib, portacrib, and high chair are available upon request.
On the deck are a patio table, a barbecue grill, a chaise and deck chairs. In the yard is a separate sauna building with a changing area and a shower. This property is adjacent to "Lake Michigan Cottage" and "Lake Michigan Cabin." Just bring your clothing and your groceries to enjoy a week of peaceful, quiet leisure!

Rate Details (In US Dollars,)
2012 rates: $1175/week; after Labor Day: $775/week
$300 deposit required at time of reservation--the remainder of the rent is due
upon arrival, along with a $200 damage deposit, which is returned after you leave.
There is no additional damage deposit for pets.
Check-in is after 3:00 on Saturday; check-out
11:00 on Saturday. The maximum number of guests is nine.

This is a beautiful log chalet and everything is described just perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, made it our home and hated to leave! We enjoyed walks on the beach with our dog and down the road also. We saw deer walking through in the morning and in the early evening and many birds and the hummingbirds were amazing. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises, and moonlit nights and listened to owls in the woods at night. Campfires on the beach were a nightly event. The peaceful surroundings were so relaxing for us & our friends. We loved it here and we will return!
