Conveniently located 20 minutes from Hilo Airport and 35 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Paradise Garden is located southeast of Hilo in Hawaiian Paradise Park, between the villages of Kea'au and Pahoa. Tucked away on one acre of lush landscaping, it offers the ultimate experience of a Hawaiian garden "paradise" with convenient access to a variety of sightseeing and outdoor activities.

Landscaping includes native Ohia in naturally forested areas, as well as cultivated palms, tree ferns, kukui (candlenut) tree, banana, papaya, tangerine, hibiscus, fragrant ginger and gardenias, orchids, bromeliads, and a variety of other tropical plants. A gazebo and pond with trickling waterfall and water lilies help relax and soothe at the end of a busy day.

Protected from view by a gated driveway this second story rental is a two-bedroom, two-bath house, with vaulted ceilings, ceramic tile floors, and a large screened-in lanai that overlooks the pond and gazebo area. There is a queen-sized bed and private bath in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and fold-out futons available for extra sleepers, to accommodate up to six people.The one acre property is yours alone!

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park -35 min away: Drive the crater rim, visit the historic Volcano House, Volcano Art Gallery, Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center; Take a short walk through an old lava tube, or a longer hike to see fresh molten lava. Listen for the sounds of native birds as you walk any number of available trails.

Kapoho- 30 minutes away: "Champagne Ponds" Snorkel in a large, protected ocean tidal pool teeming with tropical fish and colorful corals; Ahalanui Beach Park- Swim in a geothermally-warmed seawater pond, view sea turtles from the adjoining break wall.

Kalapana Black Sand Beach- 30 minutes: Sun bathe on a new black sand beach created by wave action against recent lava flows in the area.

Kehena Beach- 40 minutes: A good swimming beach often frequented by dolphins. Clothing is optional.

Kea'au Town- 10 minutes: Supermarket, health food store, daily farmers market; small restaurants, bar, gift stores, post office, hardware store, gas stations, public recreational park.

Pahoa Village- 10 min. away: This historic, colorful village boasts a number of one-of-a-kind restaurants, offering Thai, Italian, Mexican and other foods. A community swimming pool, banking, groceries and a medical clinic are also available. Makuu Market: Just outside of Pahoa Village, this farmers market offers fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers, as well as crafts from local artisans every Sunday.

Hilo Town- 20 min. away: Shopping and sightseeing.
