Lovely, Spacious Cottage in Historic and Beautiful "Beaufort-By-The-Sea". Great for Honeymoons, Golf, Fishing and Family vacations. We now have golf packages at discounted rates available for nearby Crystal Coast Golf Courses and Resorts!

Located just across the street from waterfront properties, you can enjoy fabulous views from the home's upper deck of Taylor's Creek Waterway and its ever-changing panorama of beautiful sailing ships, pleasure boats and fishing vessels. Visible just across the waterway, Carrot Island's many birds and famous wild Spanish Mustang horses are always fascinating to watch. And beyond the island, view the spectacular vista of the Back Sound and Shackleford Banks (portions of the Southern Outer Banks).

The spacious Master Bedroom has a king bed with a bath that connects to a smaller bedroom just right for kids on the queen inflatable mattress (adventure sleeping!). The large Front Bedroom has a king bed also and uses the hall bath and the Upstairs Bedroom has twin beds and roomy bath with shower. The Living Room sofa can sleep a child or small adult.

The cottage is decorated around a nautical theme and features hardwood floors, a large living room with built-in bookcases and fireplace with remote controlled gas logs. The Kitchen is fully equipped. There are many great cook books to choose from including seafood, coastal and local cuisine. The dining room seats 6-8. There is a unique wrought-iron and wood spiral staircase leading to an upstairs gathering room with bar and of course the deck!

All linen and towels (including beach towels) are provided. In addition, feel free to use on hand staples and supplies such as: tea, sugar substitute, salt & pepper, sugar, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, various other condiments, spices, paper plates, napkins, plastic flatware, paper towels, coffee filters, Kleenex, trash bags, dishwashing and laundry detergent, dish detergent, soap, cleaning supplies, dish linen, plastic & foil wrap and toilet paper. Basically, all you need to add is food and drink!

Many books on-sitefor you reading pleasure. Near by are several video stores and the public library. For rainy days or family fun there are games and cards available.

Beaufort is easily accessible via Interstate 95 or 40 to Highway 70 East (a four-lane highway).

The quaint shops, bustling marina and excellent restaurants are within walking/biking distance. Wander the lovely historic district, visit the Maritime Museum, go scuba diving or on a sightseeing cruise, drive a short distance the numerous Beaches or (my fave) simply sit on the front porch swing, enjoy the sea breeze and do nothing at all. You just may never want to leave!

    • We had a marvelous St. Patrick's Day weekend at the Beaufort Bungalow to celebrate a birthday. The house and furnishings were wonderful and the house was immaculate! Staying there was so much better than staying in a hotel of any kind. The bed was very comfortable. We love to cook so having access to the large kitchen was perfect for us. We spent Sat. afternoon at Cape Lookout checking out future kayaking and tent camping possibilities. We loved the location and quietness. We could not believe there was even a computer there to use! The house would be great for a weekend gathering for any family. We will definitely use it again! It was also very nice to meet Mr. Fallon, the owner when he stopped by.

    • I arrived at the Beaufort Cottage a single woman and left married!! It was wonderful. The house was so children friendly. I entertained all my family while there. We exchanged our commitment to each other in the living room and my brother Capt. Joe Darden prepared the most awesome seafood bash ever served. What wonderful memories we made!! Thanks Kathy for being such a help! Neecie & Bonnie

    • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow the weekend before Christmas. We found everything well appointed and clean. Our two dogs also loved it, especially the fenced front yard where they could go out and check out the neighborhood dogs walking by. We will stay again and would recommend it to our friends.

    • We loved the cottage as well as Beaufort in general. The location was perfect, just downtown and across from the water. We also loved the front and backyards. Thanks again for a great stay.

    • My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was so quiet and off the beaten path, but still close to the shops and restaurants that we could walk to. We come home to NC every year for family get togethers and will be sure to come back to the cottage.

    • We had a very, nice and enjoyable weekend in October at Beaufort Bungalow. The home was exceptional, we actually heard rain for the first time in weeks, and the views were magnificent. The Morehead Seafood Festival was in full swing but we had more fun during our brief visit in the house than the event in Morehead City. Hope to be able to visit again and will encourage our relatives to visit as well. Thanks again. Cindy and Sean Kane Sanford, NC

    • We recently had our third stay at the Beaufort Bungalow and as usual everyone thoroughly enjoyed it (especially our dogs). The house is well equipped and clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is always so much to do with the beach nearby, the shopping, and the restaurants. This year we tried two new ones, Aqua and the Crab Claw and both were really great and we highly recommend them. I know that we will be back next year and are already looking forward to coming down to beautiful Beaufort!

    • This was our first stay at Beaufort Cottage, but we have visited the area before. Overall, the house was very pleasant. The location on Front St was great, and we especially enjoyed the views from the deck. The neighborhood was very quiet which is very important to us. We also liked the fact that all the cleaning and tax had already been added in so that the price I saw on the website was what we paid. I loved the idea of just giving you my credit number to hold for damages or extra charges instead of having to give a secruity deposit - very practical! The one area we thought could be improved is the master bedroom. We think it's time to replace the mattress; it was not great for sleeping comfortably. Also, some better mini-blinds and/or curtains to darken the bedroom would be a welcome addition.

      Homeowner Response:
We value our guests observations and comments. As a result of this comment, several of the Master Bedroom's shades/blinds are being replaced this Saturday during the turnover cleaning. As far as the mattresses are concerned - they are more of an individual's personal comfort as far as firmness etc. We have had more than several comments in the past about them - all positive and at least two inquiries as to their exact brand so that these individuals could purchase the same ones.

    • A good beginning is so very important in a "promising" relationship. Our week-long stay at 97 Sunset Lane in beautiful Beaufort provided an almost unbelievable backdrop for just such a relationship. Not having seen the condo prior to our arrival, we breathed a combined sigh of relief that quickly turned into an instant feeling of being "at home". Actually "nestled" in the middle of this historic town, the warmth that "97" generates makes us imagine what it's like here on a crisp Fall day. Hum-m-m-m. The linens, the well equipped kitchen, and nicely appointed bathrooms were all pluses. Being so close to all 'the happenings' (Morehead, Atlantic Beach, the Maritime Museum, Cape Lookout (we did the climb!); the great shops on Front Street) was an added bonus. We truly feel that we'll return to 97 Sunset Lane many times in the future - each time marking another milestone in this "promising" relationship. Thanks Kathy (you were GREAT), Bill and Ellie. Thanks, too for returning the adapters we left behind!!!

    • My husband, children and I met my sister and her kids at the East Coast half-way point (she's in Florida, we're in New York) and had a very enjoyable Christmas at the cottage together. We did our own cooking for every meal except Xmas eve (the kitchen was pretty well equipped although some sharper knives would have been welcome). Finding a restaurant open on Xmas eve proved challenging, but happily we found the Crab Claw and had a very enjoyable time there. We were blessed with warm, balmy weather on the Saturday of our long weekend so we explored Fort Macon and went to the aquarium. Kathy was very thorough in her instructions so there were no unwecome surprises. All in all we had a wonderful stay.
