About the owner: John has been doing scientific research on Maui for a couple of decades. We first brought our daughter Kiki to Maui when she was just toddling around happily on wobbly legs at 11 months. In 2002, on another unforgettable trip to Maui where we were sad to leave, John and I looked at each other and both wished we’d bought a home in Maui 20 years ago, but we impulsively decided it was not too late. Our home is in Albuquerque, New Mexico. John is a physicist and mathematician. I was a project manager for DOE until I decided to stay home after our daughter was born. I've been managing our condo for close to a decade now and have made some good friends in the process. I like to keep in touch with our guests throughout the entire process, so everyone feels well taken care of. Each guest is special and I am happy to give my full attention because I want everyone to have the best experience possible. Life is so crazy sometimes that we rarely have time to reflect on how to live more authentically and to fully enjoy the little moments in life. Maui is about many things, not the least of which is recharging our batteries, having some downtime to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for, having some fun, and making some great and lasting memories. To that end, I always tell all our guests to take LOTS of photos, and I recommend framing the best ones and have them all over your house or have a favorite in your office. Hopefully those photos will help you remember all the good times you've had and can always make you smile.
Although we’ve traveled all over, we still find the beauty and magic of Maui unparalleled. Maui is both adventure and sanctuary, exotic yet relaxing, exciting yet peaceful, magical and enduring. Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole: Maui Kamaole is indisputably the most beautiful property in South Kihei with wonderfully kept sweeping lawns, surrounded by lovely tropical setting (close to 80 species of plants). It is low density, low rise, and uncrowded; a third of the property is lived in year-long by owners, a third lived in partially by owners, and only a third of it is rented out exclusively year long, everyone is dedicated to keeping up the quality of the complex. It is also close to the boat ramp, within walking distance to some of the best beaches in South Maui for swimming, snorkeling, as well as restaurants and shops and also great walks and jogging and world class golfing to the immediate south in Wailea. It is where we love to live ourselves ....
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: We love the beautiful renovations in A112 that were done exclusively for owner use and therefore very rare in the rental market. We love the serene ocean view from the lanai, whether for peaceful meals, or a dazzling sunset over the ocean with a glass of wine in hand, or quiet moments with whales frolicking in the distance. We love the larger floor plan with brighter interior and all the wonderful, luxurious, extra space. We love the convenience to beaches, shopping, boat excursions, walking, jogging, golfing, restaurants as well as tennis, swimming, Jacuzzi, bbq grills within the beautifully landscaped complex. Because we truly care about the experience of our guests, we never cram 4 guests into the condo, this means the condo will be in better shape for all to enjoy. And last but not least, we love our guests (30% returning guests each year - consistently) who notify us of things that need attention so we can fix it right away and often pick up needed items for the condo (always reimbursed immediately on their credit cards) or we send our Manager out for the purchase right away, so guests can enjoy them during their visit. Because our guests tend to be more discriminating, and have impeccable instincts for quality and value, and not merely looking for the cheapest possible rate, we get quality guests and consequently, always incredibly kind and gentle with this beautiful unit –making a world of difference in keeping up the quality of A112 for all to enjoy.
