Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole
Maui Kamaole is indisputably the most beautiful property in South Kihei with wonderfully kept sweeping lawns, surrounded by lovely tropical setting (close to 100 species of flora and fauna). It is low density, low rise, and uncrowded; a third of the property is lived in year-long by owners, a third lived in partially by owners, and only a third of it is rented out exclusively year long, everyone is dedicated to keeping up the quality of the complex. It is also close to the boat ramp, within walking distance to some of the best beaches in South Maui for swimming, snorkeling, as well as restaurants and shops and also great walks and jogging and world class golfing to the immediate south in Wailea. It is where we love to live ourselves ....
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love the beautiful renovations that were done exclusively for owner use and therefore very rare in the rental market. We love the serene ocean view from the lanai, whether for peaceful meals, or a dazzling sunset over the ocean with a glass of wine in hand, or quiet moments with whales frolicking in the distance. We love the larger floor plan with brighter interior and all the wonderful, luxurious, extra space. We love the convenience to beaches, shopping, boat excursions, walking, jogging, golfing, restaurants as well as tennis, swimming, Jacuzzi, bbq grills within the beautifully landscaped complex. And last but not least, we love our guests (30% returning guests each year) who notify us of things that need attention so we can fix it right away and often help us pick up needed items for the condo (always reimbursed immediately on their credit cards) so they and those who follow can enjoy them, and who are always incredibly kind and gentle with this beautiful unit –making an incredible difference in keeping up the quality of A112.
Fun shopping, and restaurants - local, Chinese, home-cooking Thai, Korean, Mexican, sushi, gourmet and don't forget fresh fish tacos, organic groceries, internet cafe, and not to miss: after-dinner ice
A nice walk to Keawakapu, another beach many of our guests have enjoyed and have recommended
Many guests take walks or jogs early morning - fresh air, singing birds, beautifully landscaped path. One of our guests wrote: we discovered the "healthiest cocktails on the island": we enjoy our beac
Boat ramp right across the street, for fun excursions including snorkeling at Molokini
Right across the street; there's a cooler on wheels you can drag with you to bring along a lovely picnic, complete with cool drinks and dessert for your day of Fun, Sun, and Relaxation......
Catch the latest movie after dinner at one of many selections: Thai, Fish and Chips, American, Pizza and more; hair cut, massage, and shopping too
Owner's Map of Maui Kamaole
John has been doing scientific research on Maui for a couple of decades. We first brought our daughter Kiki to Maui when she was just toddling around happily on wobbly legs at 11 months. In 2002, on another unforgettable trip to Maui where we were sad to leave, John and I looked at each other and both wished we’d bought a home in Maui 20 years ago, but we impulsively decided it was not too late. Although we’ve traveled all over, we still find the beauty and magic of Maui unparalleled. Maui is both adventure and sanctuary, exotic yet relaxing, exciting yet peaceful, magical and enduring. A112 is very special and we want all our guests to share it with us and be our attentive partners in keeping A112 beautiful and a gift for all who stay here.

“A112 - best condo I've ever stayed in”

(Posted by Guests on TRIP ADVISOR; but did not inform us, one of our other guests saw this and emailed us the link) A112 is rented by the owners and not through the management of the complex. It is an extremely well maintained unit. We have stayed here twice, and there were improvements over the first time when we thought it was perfect. The kitchen is very well equipped, which seems to be the exception rather than the rule in condos. The owner is wonderful to deal with, and the price for this unit is well below anything comparable. I only wish I could start every day with the view from the lanai!

(guest emailed after stay) Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful stay at both your condo's They were both spotless and we instantly felt at home in both. We really enjoyed the sunsets from A112, and looking for gecko's around the complex. You really thought of everything to make a stay perfect, there was nothing that could be added to make it more enjoyable. The blender really came in handy at night to make nice cool refreshing smoothies and frappicino's. We would definately stay again and highly recommend your condos. Your instructions and all the helpful material you sent were wonderful. Mahalo Wen-Lin Kathy and John Kamloops BC Oct 2011

We had a great time in Maui and loved the condo. Before we left Jamie said she already missed the condo. We definatly want to stay there for our wedding next year.We dont have the exact dates yet but when we do I will contact you. We will want the one bedroom unit as well as the 2 bedroom unit. We would like to contact other owners that you might reccommend in the area. We expect our wedding date to be may 17th but it may change if we are not able to get the venue we want. I hope we left the unit in a satisfactory condition. This was our first time in a condo and we do not know the usual protocols or standards. We did a load of sheets and towels before we left. We left some cheese and butter in the fridge, maybe the next renter will not have to purchase that. We also left some spices and rice. Hope that was ok. Thank you for allowing us the use of your gorgeous condo. We look forward to staying with you again in the future. Jamie and Todd, Peyton, CO, May 2011

(guest emailed after stay; tried to rebook following year but dates were not available) Joyce and I are back in Juneau, fairly tired from a delayed flight to an overnight stay in Anchorage and short sleep before the final leg home to Juneau. Thankfully, we've got indelible mental images of sunny beaches, an inviting ocean and lovely hours productively spent doing not much of anything. Altogether, our time in Maui was as close to perfect as we could hope for: relaxing, comfortable, restful. Much of the success of this trip we owe to your excellent accommodations. It was such a pleasure to stay at A112. I'm pretty sure that time spent on the lanai is not subtracted from our earthly span of years. Thank you for your insistence on quality and your thoughtful attention to detail. It all made for a wonderful vacation. I hope we left the condo in the condition you would like to find it after a stay, but there were a couple of loose ends; I suspect there always are. Food: we planned as well as we could, but we just couldn't consume everything, so there are a few items in the fridge. I hope Wendy can make use of them. We decided not to purchase binoculars, because we were reluctant to commit you to prices that can range from inexpensive to exorbitant. We actually got along fine without. Once again, staying at your place was in large part responsible for our having such a wonderful time. Joyce pointed out that the beautiful grounds of Maui Kamaole, the relative quiet, your high quality furnishings, all contributed to our enjoyment of Maui. We'll certainly keep you in mind the next time we think about a trip to the island. And we've already begun bragging about you to friends, two of whom are regular Hawaii visitors and who seemed very interested in our description of your place. Aloha, and thanks again. (returning guests; emailed from condo) We stopped at Safeway on our way in and arrived while Wendy was still here but had a lovely rest sitting on the lanai while she finished. The new chair is wonderful! It is very comfortable and our preferred seating. It is so nice to be here again. *** Wish you could all come over. You should see the new washer and dryer. They are a miracle of modern invention. I have been using the make-up remover pads. They are a great idea and should save your washcloths. All is going well and your palm tree is growing taller than the wall. *** Hello from Maui. This has been a big day. We have been involved in a two day bridge tournament on Friday and Saturday. It was a beautiful day here so we washed down the lanai. We also took up John's suggestion that we assemble the new lamp in the storage closet. It is just what we need to read and do my needlepoint. Also, Ralph just told me to take a picture of the new washer and dryer. He thinks we need one to save on water in Eugene. Much Aloha, Janet, Eugene, OR

(guest emailed during stay) Sorry we weren't here to take your call, but we were distracted somewhere in paradise, probably the beach. The condo is lovely! You weren't kidding about your personal touches and attention to detail. We are very impressed. We're very happy to be your customers. We'll take notes, and if anything goes wrong or seems out of place, we'll let you know. We really like the coverlet on the bed. Did you find that locally? We'd be interested in getting something similar for our home. So to summarize, we're about a ten out of ten for our Maui vacation so far. Thanks for providing a great place to stay. As Joyce's student's say, you rock! Dana and Joyce (Juno, AL)

(emailed after stay; returning guests) Sorry for the silence since we stayed at A-112. We came home the 23rd of Dec, then went straight to Charlotte for Xmas with the Grandkids. Anyway, we've been a little wrapped around the axles with some family things but are doing good. Just wasn't able to slow down to even say Thanks Again for all you've done; and let you know that we really enjoyed the trip. It was steady, not too busy, nice. We went to Haleakala (first time since 2004) and were two of about 10 people up there. And it was CLEAR out too... you could see the big Island! Very nice. We didn't get up early to do Haleakala - we just went up after sunrise, like 9am or so. It was still the most fantastic thing. Everything was crystal clear... look at this shot I am attaching of the crater! Unreal! And we also went to the needle (Iao Valley) this trip - first time. That's the second pic. Anyway, more later but, just wanted to say thanks again. It was a really nice stay for us. Mahalo and Hope all is well with you, John and Kiki, Your renter-friend :-), Mike North Augusta, SC
