Villa Trinitaria is perched within the best of both worlds. The epitome of privacy and relaxation, it is tucked away into the balmy Caribbean hillside with secluded beaches within a five-minute stroll. It also boasts all the amenities of a world-class resort within an arms' reach - activities of all sorts for adults and children alike. Or, if you're in the mood for bustling tropical nightlife or a day in the city, that is all just a drive away.
The layout of this property was designed to complement the beauty of the tropical hillside, accentuating spaciousness, sunlight, and airflow- as well as breathtaking views from all sides.
Through the gate and up the private driveway, arrive at 'Villa Trinitaria' - with over 6500 sq.ft of living areas of simple luxury, high ceilings and travertine marble floors throughout, on a 1/4 acre lot in the most exclusive and secluded residential area of Palmas del Mar, tucked away by Punta Guayanes.
As you descend one level from the parking area, listen to the murmur of the fountain as you enter the light-filled and airy great room, which looks out onto the Caribbean hillside and tranquil pool, nestled in the tropical flowering trees of the garden. Large and welcoming, this central space features 30ft ceilings and is furnished with an elegant and eclectic combination of Latin American, European and Moroccan antiques, as well as a grand piano.
Off to the left of the great room is the dining room, a perfect place to enjoy dinner ,with the scent of the ylang-ylang and jasmine wafting in from the garden. A small courtyard with vine-covered walls adjoins the dining room, as does more outside seating on the patio which also overlooks the pool and the sloping garden of tropical fruit trees. Also adjoined to the dining room is the very modern kitchen, featuring state of the art GE Monogram appliances, espresso machine, exquisite granite counters, an ample stainless steel refrigerator, and a large pantry for all your dining needs.
To the right is the cozy library with comfortable seating, large LCD TV with cable programming, computer, sound system and vast library for your enjoyment. The perfect place to watch a movie or favorite television show after a long day of swimming and sunbathing. Across from the library is the powder room, and, further along, an ensuite bedroom that opens to the pool deck through an arched doorway with two twin beds and a full marble bathroom with rain shower.
Ascending to the second level, there are two bedrooms on either wing of the house. The first, upon arriving at the second floor, has a Queen size bed, walk in closet, and a full bathroom with rain shower as well as views to the east and west of the property. Further down the hall is also a laundry room, with large capacity washer and dryer.
The master bedroom looks out onto the lush Caribbean hillside and the ocean just beyond it, as does the luxurious bathroom with rain shower and travertine marble bathtub, adjoined to the room right off a large walk-in closet and dressing room. Open the doors from the master bedroom to the private terrace, and perhaps take a siesta in the traditional Venezuelan hammock or have a glass of iced tea in the shade while watching the kids splash in the pool below, all while enjoying the green hillsides and the Caribbean beyond.
The outdoor terrace also connects to the first of the two rooms on the south wing. This bedroom has an exquisite view down the other side of the tropical countryside, a Queen size bed, and a walk-in closet. The bathroom, shared by both rooms on the south wing, has a large rain shower and frosted glass windows, which allow for both great light and privacy. The other bedroom is also outfitted with a Queen size bed.
The third floor has a charming Moroccan-styled roof terrace with rustic seating - an ideal place for private sunbathing, stargazing, or just enjoying the view from what we think is one of the best spots the Caribbean has to offer.

We're not sure where to begin...This beautiful, spacious house has it all! There were 5 families/couples [10 people] sharing the house for 8 days & we never once felt crowded or that we were in each others way at al! The house is extremely spacious with an excellent layout. The kitchen was an absolute dream to work in; spacious and very well equipped for the 'gourmet cook'. We spent most of our time out by the covered pool area.. These 2 beautiful 'areas/rooms' had 4 fans, very comfortable seating and a large eating table with seating for 8. The pool was a BIG hit with everyone! It is one of the largest private residential pools we have seen! Clean and refreshing! Our daughter was married at Palmas del Mar yacht club on 3/29, so that's why we were renting the house. Just a few hours before the wedding, Palmas del Mar lost all electrical power due to a storm that moved in! But, not to fear - OUR HOUSE HAD A GENERATOR!! IT SAVED THE DAY!! and OUR NERVES!! Our daughter, her sister & 3 bridesmaids came to our house to get ready for the wedding!! We can't stress enough how wonderful it was to have the generator!! Lost of electrical power in Puerto Rico is a fairly common occurance according to the locals... The only "down side" to our stay were the individual air conditioners. We had two air conditioners ~ one in a bedroom and one in the kitchen that did not work at all and one other, in the dining room, had to be repaired so it would run properly. We reported these problems to the rental agency on Sunday (we had arrived the day before on Sat.). The units were not repaired/replaced until Friday ~ the day before we were to check out. To the owner's credit...the owner's son did stop by the house several times to check on the repair process. It seems that the AC repair people simply did not come out when they said they would...for 3 days in fact. Even though the problematic AC units were an issue, we give this property 5 STARS!! We would recommend this property and, in fact, plan to rent it again when our family returns to Palmas for a family reunion in the near future. Thanks Alfredo...and thanks to your son for helping make our daughter's wedding week such a memorable occasion in Puerto Rico...the Isle of Enchantment!! The Walker Family and Extended Family Members all had a GREAT TIME!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Hello Alfredo, We are back from our trip, and I want to tell you our favorite part was your beautiful house. I'm watching the snow fall in Minnesota, and wondering why I can't go out the back door to jump in the pool.:) Your property was beyond our expectations, and I'll try to set aside some time to write a review for your VRBO site. We loved the house, the complex, and the weather! This was our first big vacation together as a family, and the house was the perfect fit for us. We went to the El Conquistador one day, which was very nice, but we all felt that your house was a much better location for us. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We were a group of 3 couples in our fifties which rented this villa the first week of February 2012. I was proud to boast to my friends I was the one who located this rental. The pictures, as well as the descriptions of the property fail to convey how truly special this home is. While the surrounding gardens and large pool were gorgeous, the real jewel was the house itself. My wife particularly enjoyed the art works and expansive libraries. Each bedroom and adjoining bath was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed preparing several meals in the large and very well equipped kitchen. (We made good use of the separate ice machine!) The dining room was beautiful and a great space for sharing meals, often followed by evenings in the comfortable fireplace seating end of the lower outdoor terrace. Cell phone, Wi-Fi and television cable reception were all superb. Palmas del Mar is a great locale to explore eastern Puerto Rico. We also were able to take the golf cart to the beach, marina and around the lovely resort. We enjoyed day trips to the beach at Luquillo Balnerio Monserrate and El Yunque. We drove and spent an afternoon at Ponce. We flew over one morning on VAL from Ceiba to Culebra and spent beach time, back by 5:30 pm. We took a tour with East Island Excursions out of Puerto del Ray Marina to Vieques for the biobay tour of Mosquito Bay. We spent our last night in Old San Juan. We wish to thank Alfredo, the owner, for offering us every courtesy and responding to every request and communication. Also, my wife appreciated his prompt action in seeing that the jewelry she left behind was promptly returned. My only hesitancy in writing this review is concern that Villa Trinitaria may be unavialable when we wish to come back. It was a fantastic vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family recently returned from our stay at Villa Trinitaria (second week of April), and I must say that our entire experience exceeded our wildest expectations. My husband and I have rented homes around the world - from the Napa Valley to Tuscany - and this home has by far offered us the most luxurious, peaceful, and rejuvenating experience yet. With two young children we were really looking for a place where we could spread out, swim, cook at home, but also have access to wonderful fine dining options and beautiful beaches - Villa Trinitaria and the Palmas del Mar resort has all of this and more. In terms of the house, each bedroom was beautifully appointed with amazing views of the mountainside. The rain showers were fabulous after a long swim! We cooked some great meals in the gourmet kitchen (good food stores are just a short ride away) - it was fully stocked with all the gadgets you could ever need. The best part - dinners enjoyed watching the sunset in the outdoor living room next to the fireplace - perfection! Our whole family enjoyed so many hours playing in the beautiful in ground pool, it was definitely hard to leave behind. The pool certainly rivaled any pool that we have experienced at many 5 star hotels. We also loved the basically private beach which is only a five minute walk down the road - great when you have little kids who want to run and rule the beach! While it was hard to leave tranquility of the house, we did have a chance to enjoy a delicious brunch at Chez Daniel, and a round of golf. Again, having played courses at some of the best resorts in the country, the Rees Jones layout at Palmas is quite a challenge - and my husband is a tough critic! Overall, we cannot recommend Villa Trinitaria more highly, it is truly a gem. Spectacular accomodation, modern conveniences (cable tv, wifi), beautiful views and gardens, pool, and if you want to venture out, Palmas has everything you could want for an amazing Carribean vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
