Harrison house description
Lovely, well-maintained year-round lakefront home. Located in quiet Monday Cove on Long Lake. Only 20' from water. The sun hits the beach area all day which makes enjoying the lake that much better. There is a sandy beach area for kids to play while you relax in the hammock. Boat dock and mooring available. Large grassy yard with a stone fire pit for evening campfires. Nice deck overlooking lake with gas grill and patio table. House and water can be accessed by ramp for individuals with mobility impairment.
Fresh paint, new carpet, and other updates in 2012. The 3 BRs and loft make for comfortable sleeping while you listen to the sounds of the loons. A/C, ceiling fans, and full heating system. Large kitchen is well-equipped. Washer and dryer for your convenience.
Wireless internet, cable TV and DVD are included. Well-stocked library, board games and toys for the kids for rainy days as well as many beach toys for the sunny days.
Several marinas for boat and other watercraft rentals nearby. Make a boating day-trip for the 10+ miles to the popuar Sebago Lake. Enjoy the activities at the Naples Causeway or stay at the quiet end of the lake and enjoy the loons and eagles.
While the Long Lake area has much to offer, you may also consider venturing out for a drive. We are about 45 minutes from the North Conway, NH region. There you can visit Story Land, hit the shopping outlets, explore the quaint downtown, and enjoy the White Mountains. If the mountains are not your style, drive about 45 minutes east and you can reach the ocean. Visit the city of Portland - the Old Port section is the best! There is also Freeport with LLBean and the outlets. Of course you can also visit Old Orchard Beach, Kennebunkport, and the other quaint oceanside communities. There is so much to do you will have trouble trying to decide!

Perfect Family Home Away From Home
Perfect Family Home Away From Home
If you are looking for the perfect family vacation, in a beautiful, quiet, lakefront home, this is the house for you! This is the perfect home for anyone with a young family who would like to explore Maine. We have three boys ages 3, 5, and 7, and have been going to this house for five years now. So many things to do! When you tire of the private beach, canoes, kayaks and nature, it’s an easy drive to Story Land, Portland, or North Conway! Even closer and just minutes away is the quaint lake-side town of Naples and the cute shops of Bridgton center. We stay for two weeks and our agenda typically includes Story Land, a North Conway Scenic Railroad trip, several days in front of the house enjoying the water, scenic drives in the White Mountains, a ride on the River Boat Queen, a night at the Bridgton Drive in, and a New England Clambake…Too many wonderful places to explore and activities to list! The house itself is cozy, warm and inviting, well stocked, and on the most beautiful lake frontage you can find. The morning views of the cove as low banks of fog shroud the island are spectacular! Hearing the loon calls as they swim lazily past the house as the sun sets over the crackle of an evening campfire makes you start to think about living here permanently! You might even get lucky and catch a quick glimpse of the neighborhood eagle as he soars overhead! We LOVE this place and look forward to the next vacation on Rocky Point Road pretty much within minutes of leaving! The owners are wonderful and will make you feel very much at home. You will in no way be disappointed!

Owner response: Katy, It is so nice to hear that your family has made wonderful memories over the years. As one of our "regulars", you certainly know that our home is a place for both fun and relaxation. You have described the home and the area so accurately - thank you! When you arrive this summer you will be pleasantly surprised with our updates for 2012. Fresh paint, new bedding, and other updates around the house. I am sure it will all be to your liking. We are looking forward to your arrival! -Kristine
