Jost Van Dyke, a four-mile long island that is part of the beautiful British Virgin Islands archipelago, offers some of the finest and most secluded tropical isle beaches, snorkeling reefs, and beach bars in the Caribbean. Diamond View is one of a group of eight open-plan villas that comprises Sandy Ground Estates on the East end of Jost Van Dyke. The villas are set in 17 acres of lush tropical grounds and were designed by the English architect Michael Helm. The villas benefit from their own private pristine white beach and dock.
A distinctive feature of the estate is its capacity to combine spacious, elegant and tranquil isolation with relative proximity to Jost Van Dyke’s other notable attractions. Whether this be a quick kayaking jaunt over to Foxy’s Taboo Bar & Boutique for lunch, swimming with angelfish and brightly colored sea sponges off Green Cay, or hiking to the geological phenomena known as "Bubbling Pool." (Most visitors reach Sandy Ground by boat, but for the adventurous there is a goat trail over the hill.)
Diamond View - so-named because of its sweeping and panoramic views of Tortola in the near-distance and over the uninhabited islands and crystalline waters of Sandy Cay, Sandy Spit, Green Cay, Little Jost Van Dyke, and Diamond Cay in the immediate foreground - has all the characteristics of an ideal tropical hideaway. In addition to the constant balmy cool breezes that keep away sand flies and bugs, the villa features 2 double bedrooms both with king size beds, bathroom, an atmospheric outdoor shower, wrap-around sun deck, fully equipped kitchen, three kayaks, and more spectacular views than you can shake a stick at. Additionally, while the beach is only a few minutes amble down the hill, those wishing to explore further afield have the option of renting a 6-seater rib.
