Three charming, furnished, one-bedroom flats located in picturesque 1909 Edwardian home.

First-floor walk up is French-style with a lovely remodeled kitchen and oak parquet floors throughout and artwork painted by the Philadelphia now in San Francisco artist (and good friend and swing dancer) Peggy Gyulai.

Second-floor flat is traditional, slightly larger with a work alcove, bay windows, and antique redwood floors. Featured art by Northern California artists Marilin Sommer, Peter Collins and a large print collection, vintage as well as new.

The dramatic, top-floor flat is elegant in beige and black (traditional/contemporary) with a large, private, newly rebuilt roof deck with wrought iron railing and penthouse room with superb views of the city, Coit Tower, Pyramid Building and Bay Bridge. Prints from the chalcography in Paris, oils by Marylin Sommers, and a lovely collection of vintage and new lithographs.

All flats have light and airy bedrooms with queen-size beds, living room double-size sofa beds, fireplaces, wood floors, well-equipped kitchens, and laundry access. The first and second floor flats have fold-out twin beds. Some parking is available in the building with the top and second floor flats subject to some vehicle type restrictions.

Property is in the best Nob Hill location, one-half block to Grace Cathedral, less than two blocks to the Huntington, Mark Hopkins, and Fairmont Hotels. Walk or cable car to the financial district, Union Square, China town or North Beach. Located on a quiet, one block, long street (Pleasant Street) convenient to many restaurants, neighborhood markets, dry cleaners, cable car stops, and bus lines.

Due to height of the roof deck, first and second floor flats are best for families with children. "San Francisco with Children" books, children's books, and games are in these units. Please, no wedding receptions, corporate entertaining, or large celebrations or gatherings in the building.

  • Our family stayed for 1 week in December in the 2nd floor apartment. We couldn't have been happier with the apartment. It is conveniently located close to all of the major SF sites. The apartment itself was clean, bright, spacious, and had EVERYTHING we needed for a very comfortable stay - there were even books and toys available for our two young children! Thank you Jennifer for all of your help in arranging our stay - you were extremely helpful and kind. This has been one of our favorite trips thus far, and we look forward to visiting again soon!

  • Had some friends visiting from Ireland in October, we rented the middle apt for a week. The apartments are fantastic, a real home away from home and so convenient. Everything is within walking distance, special mention to Nobb Hill Cafe at the bottom of the hill. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone visiting SF, staying here gives guests the feeling of truly belonging in the city. I'm hoping for more visitors so I can go back.

  • We stayed in the first and second floor flats in May. We can't begin to tell you how pleased we were with the rooms. What a great home away from home. Very comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything from extra towels and blankets to cookies and spices. The area is so beautiful. The use of the garage was perfect. Great location and very unique. We drove down the coast to Carmel, Monterey Bay and then over to Yosemite. Such a beautiful coastline California has. Jennifer is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend her rentals and plan on using her again next year. We had a chance on our last day to peek into the top flat and rooftop. Breathtaking. Lovely place. Feel free to email.

  • Sweetly furnished and so comfortable you feel as if you are actually a resident of that splendid city. Our second floor apartment was very homey and unpretentious; it invites you to drop your bags and plop down 'n relax the moment you step inside. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate for cooking up a nice dinner and the on-site washer and dryer are a real plus. The location couldn't be better, too. Grace Cathedral is right around the corner fronting a charming little park where you can watch the locals run their dogs (and rabbits!) in the afternoon. Chinatown is down one side of the big hill and fabulous SF shopping and dining down the other. There's a large supermarket a few blocks away for major consumables and a a couple of little city markets within five minutes walk. Jennifer, the owner, is very accommodating and a straightshooter. We've stayed there twice and will stay there again. A word of advice: The place seems very popular so book early or you might wind up in a hotel. Yuk!

  • We stayed in the first floor flat in May 2006 with our 2 children and sister in law. This was the highlight of our whole trip. Staying in 1 of Jennifer's apartments makes you feel like you really live in San Francisco. The apartment is fantastic and so is Jennifer! We are now starting to plan our next trip and staying in San Francisco in 1 of Jennifer's apartments is our highest priority.

  • We stayed in the second floor flat for 8 days while in Sanfranciso celebrating my daughter's high school graduation. The flat was perfect for us since there were 4 of us and a hotel would have been crowed and boring. My daughter took her best friend along and because of the wonderful and safe location of the flat they were able to come and go as they wanted, while my husband and I mostly toured China Town. By the way if you like Dim Sum head to China Town for all you can eat at extremly reasonable prices. While we were in Sanfran we walked just about everywhere, the flat is in a perfect location for catching the trolley or the cable car. Alcatraz was FANTASTIC probably the high light of our trip.   • Our family of 4 stayed in the second floor flat in June of 07. The location is great, just steps away from public transportation stops. We had a car because we were planning several trips outside of San Fran and we REALLY appreciated the garage. Most hotels in the area charge anywhere from $30 to $45 a day just to park, so the garage was a GREAT deal. The flat was extremely well stocked with dishware, cooking utensils and even spices, wine and treats! Our girls shared the pull-out bed, but there was room for a blow up matress (which WAS provided along with a pump) if you have children that won't share a bed. We got a chance to go up to the third floor flat and deck and the view (and flat) are fabulous. Jennifer is wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this property.
