Thank you for visiting the DANCING DOLPHIN at Savannah Beach & Racquet Club. You are in for a real treat. This condo is fresh and updated with beadboard walls, carpeted floors, new furnishings and many goodies for you. I want my guests happy and comfortable and I want you back to visit with us again.
A wonderful new king bed has been added to the Dancing Dolphin.. Check out the photos of the new bed. This is a Sealy ultra plush pillowtop and it's really comfortable !! There have been upgrades in the kitchen, as well. There is yummy new carpeting and a super comfortable new sofa. The dining furniture has been changed too. The bathroom now has shelves built into the wall to give you a little more for your 'stuff'. Also a vanity has been added in the bedroom for your 'stuff'. So ... bring all your stuff cause there is now plenty of room for you to be a little more comfortable.
Beginning in 2011, the Dancing Dolphin will be offered for couples only. Many of the updates and improvements were made to appeal to vacationing couples. Providing a special place for honeymoons, anniversary celebrations or just a special vacation home for couples is something I've found a great need for at the Racquet Club. These wonderful condos are small but make great places for couples. I have a variety of other condos availabe, all very nice, that will accommodate a small family. We have a maximum of 4 is all the condos in my group. Please email for information on the others if you're looking for accommodations for up to four occupants.
Whether you're looking for a vacation spot for a few days or a few weeks, you will find the comfort here is second to none. You truly can sit on the deck, with your feet propped up and watch the dolphin dance. Dolphin (lots of them) are a common site following the various watercraft that will pass in front of your beachfront vacation home. This wonderful condo is conveniently located on the first floor of Building B and only 60 feet from the swimming pool and dune walk to the beach. The view is wonderful from this vacation dream and will entertain you for many hours.
The SBRC community is located on the north beach and you never have to leave the complex. We are located in a nice residential area on the north beach of Tybee with limited beach access. You'll find the beach here is much less congested that the main beach on the south end of the island.
We have a large beachfront pool. There are three tennis courts for your fun and enjoyment. SBRC shares common areas with a sister community so you also have access to the pool next door. Walk out either side of your building and you're just a few feet from a pool or walkway to the beach.
You'll find beach towels, beach chairs and even pool noodles provided for your use.
All the "extras" you would expect from an owner who truly cares for your comfort and enjoyment are provided in the Dancing Dolphin. We provide the amenities for you that we would like to find in our vacation spots. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and disposal. A waffle iron, crock pot, tabletop George Forman grill and blender will make meal or snack time fun and easy. I've added new pots and pans and dinnerware and upgraded some of the tabletop appliances.
You will enjoy the 42 inch TV and DVD in the living room or the 19 inch TV in the bedroom, both wall-mounted.
You'll also experience "service" that will bring you and your friends back to us on your next vacation to Tybee. And, you will be back! There is no place like Tybee.
For a more prompt response to your inquiry, PLEASE use email. Email requests are answered several times each day. I try to return all calls but am away from my phone from early morning until late afternoon and sometimes the volume of calls doesn't allow me time to return them all.
You will be happy with the provisions in the Dancing Dolphin. We don't charge extra for a reasonable supply of towels. Your dishes and cookware are plentiful. We even have a good selection of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment and we don't charge you a deposit to use them. We don't require a damage deposit. Accidents happen and we understand that.
I truly want you to enjoy my Dancing Dolphin - feel at home, and have what you need and want for a great vacation. And, yes, I ask you to treat it as you would your own home. That's the most that I ask of my guests.
I have a generous cancellation/refund policy. I do not expect you to ride out a hurricane while I head for higher ground. Neither do I expect you to suffer the loss of your vacation money if a hurricane happens to visit while you're here. Your unused days are gladly refunded if the island is evacuated due to a hurricane. And, I won't try to sell you insurance to make sure that I do the right thing.
I have on-call help 24/7 so you're never left unattended if you need assistance.
I use a private housekeeper for cleaning and laundry. You can expect to have a clean place to vacation with good quality, comfortable linens.

Why the Owner Chose Tybee Island
After working on Tybee for 10 years, I decided to purchase a condominium so I bought the Dancing Dolphin in 2005. I've lived in Savannah my whole life but spent very little time at the beach. Working on the island I was able to have a unique view of the island activities and the people. This island, genuinely, has the most loving and carefree people you will find anywhere. It's a peaceful place and the kind of place you're proud to offer and share with others. I've now been working on the island 15 years so I'm always close by for my guests.
I'm now excited about upcoming upgrades to make the Dancing Dolphin my second condo offering a special place just for couples. I hope everyone will enjoy the new Dancing Dolphin.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I don't spend a lot of time in the Dancing Dolphin. Because I work on the island and rent the condo, I usually go home at the end of the day. My grandchildren love the beach and enjoy the condo. My relatives look forward to the off-season when they get to have 'their turn' with the condo.
I tell my friends that my daddy didn't build me a dollhouse when I was a little girl. So ... when I got to be a big girl, I bought the Dancing Dolphin and made my own dollhouse. I enjoy decorating it. I love changing the pictures and the bedding. I look for things to add that will bring my guests enjoyment. It's a fun experience.

This was such a great place to stay. The Dancing Dolphin is a great escape for those who need time away from the busy city life while still having quick access to the city. We chose to stay at the Dancing Dolphin to have a beach vacation and participate in activities located in downtown Savannah, GA. The condo was very clean and nice. My family loved the organization and the closet space. Being able to wash your clothes while on vacation helps a great deal on the tasks needed when arriving back home. We did not want to leave and would love to go back and stay longer. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice and memerable experience.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

My daughter and I enjoyed a girls week at the Dancing Dolphin. We had a wonderful time. The condo was great and very comfortable. As stated, we were steps from the water. The pool area was super, also as we were there during the 100 degrees plus weather. It was so close and so easy to get to Savannah and any shopping. I would certainly recommend the condo for 2 people. It was a great plus to have the washer and dryer in our condo. It was a truly relaxing vacation.

The Dancing Dolphin was excellent for my wife and i. We saw dolphins day and night and many very close. The Condo is very neat and tidy. We enjoyed it. The pool was nice and you felt very secure. Beach is close and very nice as well. We used the porch / deck to sit out there and watch the fireworks from South Carolina along the coast and we watched the dolphins, sunrises and sunsets as well. Patti is great and so accomodating. We of course have been coming to Tybee for over 5 years and love it. JUST LOVE TYBEE ISLAND! We will be back!

We absolutely LOVED this place ! We've been coming to Tybee at lease once a year and this is the first time in which we haven't been confined to an impersonal hotel room blocks away from the water. This place has every possible convenience and so many 'personal' touches. The north end of the island is so quiet and beautiful. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for providing us with such a beautiful vacation haven.

The condo was clean, well decorated and beautiful. My daughter and I spent every morning and evening on the deck watching the boats and dolphins. The pool is beautiful and kid friendly with the beach so close that even a toddler could walk to it without getting tired. I need to set my booking up for next year because I plan on going again!!!!!!!

We stayed in this beautiful condo in the Summer of '09. It was like a home away from home. Every need was met and the owner has thought of everything you might want on vacation. We were very happ with Dancing Dolphin and we hope to return in the Summer of 2010.
