Rick and Lisa, I can see why you love Altitude Adjustment! We’ve stayed in many NC rental homes and this is the most home-like one yet. Very cozy. Our 3 boys loved the Playstation and games (especially foosball). We cooked all meals in and it was great (you could use a smaller skillet…we only found one very large skillet.) We will definitely be back when we return to Maggie Valley to ski Cataloochee again. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home with our family.

We stayed at Altitude Adjustment from Dec 30 - Jan 3, 2012 and found the place to be in excellent condition, clean, and exactly as described. It was a little tight for our group of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids; mainly because 3 of the kids are young and needed to sleep in the adult's rooms), but we made it work. The owners (Rick & Lisa) go over and above the duty to ensure you have all that you need to maximize your stay in Maggie Valley, including calling us the evening we arrived to be sure we got in OK and had everything. Other touches like leaving us noise makers, etc. to celebrate NY Eve, and personalized water bottles with treats to take home made us feel like family guests. They also have a book detailing all the sights/activities in the area, which made it easy to find the Waynesville Rec Center with indoor pool one day it was raining. The downstairs rec room is a huge plus for families with kids! It was great letting the kids play downstairs so the adults could have some quiet time to themselves. The cabin is equipped with toys and plenty of movies. The Cataloochi ski area is literally right up the road/mountain, and easy to get to. I highly recommend Altitude Adjustment and hope to visit again one day.

We have enjoyed our stay here at Altitude Adjustment very much! Your home is simply wonderful. The cabin is so neat and clean and well supplied! We thank you for our “welcome” gifts. It was a nice touch. We needed this getaway so badly. There were a lot of places closed for the season here in Maggie, but it didn’t bother us one bit . We stayed here and cooked most our of our meals (here out on the grill). The view from the upper deck is GREAT. I loved going out around 4 am and looking at the night sky. My husband really enjoyed reading several of your books. Again, thank you for sharing your home with us and we will surely return. We also loved the detailed decor! Very nice.

Our 5th trip to Maggie, but first time in this cabin. Loved this cabin and the view and had PERFECT weather. Had good meals at Sagebrush, Grannie’s, Legends and Nick and Nate’s. We’ve decided that “The Cliffs” is the perfect, quiet neighborhood! Paradise!

Wonderful week as usual! We feel so at home here. Relaxation was the key word as Lee and I sat on the porch all day reading. Abby was able to do her online school classes and her work and still enjoy the days (homeschooling is awesome). This is such a perfect porch for “leaf watching”! Hope we can come back next Oct! (and a time or two in between!) Feeling Blessed! Lee, Lucie and Abby Our sister’s trip in June was also wonderful! Great fellowship (aka yakking), puzzle, cards, books, books and books! Finally got to the Biltmore House—first time for all of us, it was fabulous. And, of course, shopping in MV and Waynesville. A great time—we all needed!

Lisa and Rick, We have stayed at many cabins but this is the best-equipped, most thoughtfully done of them all! We thoroughly enjoyed our “split” week when our son, daughter and her boyfriend were here for the first three days before they had to return to work, and the last half when we had it all to ourselves. We took our daughter and 2 grandchildren to ski for 2 days at Cataloochee. The Altitude Adjustment cabin is spacious, very clean, and furnished beautifully!! Having never skied at Cataloochee, we were very pleased; it was a great place to teach the grandchildren. We will be back. Dealing with the owners was very professional, and extremely helpful!!

Dear Lisa, We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Altitude Adjustment. The views from the front porch are stunning and change all the time. We’ve been touring round the south-east for the last two weeks and it was great to relax in this beautiful well-equipped cabin. It is really a home-from-home (which is great considering how far we are from home!) We’ve visited Cherokee, Asheville and Waynesville and the boys had a great day at the Navitat (which involved walking through the tree-tops and sliding down huge zip-lines) which is just north of Asheville. It is unlikely that we’ll ever be back here due to the distance but would certainly recommend your cabin to family and friends back in the UK. Lisa, Our experience renting from you was just wonderful. Your instructions before arrival to the welcome gifts and the detailed labeling thoughout the house, not a detail was missed. The view from the front deck and the master bedroom are wonderful. The location is close to resturants, the entrance to the Parkway and not far from Cherokee and the casino. You have everything for a family from the fully equipt kitchen to dvd's and games. My sister especially loved the downstairs, it was her little getaway. I only wish we had more time to spend there. On our next trip to Maggie Valley I look forward to staying at your home again.

Our 4th Trip to Altitude Adjustment

Thanks for another wonderful time at your cozy cabin. The warm welcoming atmosphere again helped us feel at home as soon as we walked in the door. This time because we were with a larger group we slept in the 2nd bedroom on a king size bed. Much to my surprise it was just as comfortable as the bed in the master bedroom and the 2nd bathroom was conveniently close. We again spent the early mornings enjoying our coffee in the rocking chairs on the porch. The mountain air was wonderful and the views incredible. During the day we swam in the Community swimming pool in Waynesville and we walked around this picturesque little town. We also explored the small Maggie Valley shops and Lake Junaluska.

Lisa, What a blast we had in Maggie Valley this weekend. Your cabin is so comfortable and so clean! We felt right at home and had a very good time. The power was off when we got there (due to the winter storm) so that concerned us just a little...but after about 20 mins by the fireplace (it still worked fine)...the power kicked back on and we were good to go. Rick and Lisa, Your cabin was absolutely fabulous! The views from the front porch were so breathtaking that we didn’t want to come inside! But when we did come inside we were wrapped in your warm, cozy, clean surroundings. Everything and I mean everything was supplied…from a gracious welcome note (with goodies) to meticulously labeled light switches, etc. The directions that were sent before we ever arrived were detailed enough that we really didn’t have any questions regarding how things worked. The location is super convenient to Maggie Valley and surrounding areas. We were in town for a Clogging Competition where my 11 year old niece was inducted into the Junior All American Clogging Team. Altitude Adjustment was just the place our family needed to celebrate. We hope to come back again real soon. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

The decor was soothing and you have thought of just about everything necessary for real comfort and convenience. Rick and Lisa, Great home! Thanks for sharing your lovely mountain getaway! We have never stayed in a rental home that is as nice as yours. Lisa and Rick, We had such a wonderful time in your beautiful cabin! We were so impressed with the appearance and how cozy we instantly felt when we arrived. Though we have vacationed many times in Maggie Valley, this was our first vacation with our new little Heidi. We wondered how taking a 4 1/2 month old would go, but your home was just perfect and we all had a wonderful time here. While here, we got to see wild turkeys, rabbits, chipmunks and even a coyote on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Even more special was the rabbit we saw at the cabin! Lisa, We had another great visit - thanks! We didn't end up staying any later because of the 8 hr. drive home, but thank you so much for extending us the courtesy of the early check-in as well - we were able to squeeze a little more into a short trip and it made it so much more enjoyable. Horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and a visit to Gatlinburg for ice skating and the aquarium in three days - not bad! As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin and look forward to renting from you again. It was a pleasure working with you (again). Hope to be back in the summer! :) Sincerely, Melissa

Thank you for our third wonderful getaway in your beautiful mountain cabin. We again loved the peaceful tranquility of sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch overlooking the amazing mountains. I have a hard time finding comfortable beds even in good hotels but the king size bed in the Master bedroom was wonderful and the bedroom was large and cozy. The mountain air, amazing walking trails and beautiful cabin all helped us enjoy a wonderfully restful vacation. Thank you! We look forward to coming back.

Rick and Lisa, We had a wonderful time during our stay here. We felt right at home. Everything is very conveniently located within a short distance of the cabin. We were able to visit the Smokey Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and the Biltmore. The view from the balcony is awesome. We will definitely be in touch with you to book another trip.
