We are managed by Kiawah Resort Properties in this private and gated community, and therefore our guests receive full use of Kiawah Island Resort guest amenities, exclusive ONLY to Resort guests. (Therefore, if a rental property your rent is not managed by Kiawah Resort, renters have no pool or fitness club access nor other Resort benefits and discounts). Your amenities include:

Our home is decorated in a relaxed and colorful "beachy" theme, and boasts a private master bedroom with King size bed,TV w/cable, and bath, two additional bedrooms - one with with twin beds and the other with a queen and access to second bath, and 2 deck/porch areas to relax. We also have two seperate living areas that provide families welcome seperate areas for entertainment. The fully equiped kitchen has newer appliances and upgrades including a washer and dryer, and has a separate eating area. The dining room easily seats six, and adjoins the living room area with DVD player and TV. The heated/airconditioned sunroom/den has a Flat Screen HDTV with cable. The cottage's front deck has andirondack chairs and enjoys the morning sun and the rear deck with table and chairs overlooks a private wooded and lagoon view. We provide lots of sand and float toys for the kids and we also have beach chairs available for our guests use.
The location of our home in Night Heron is the very best for families on the Island; as it is adjacent to the 21-acre Night Heron Park which is the center for all Island activities and events including heated/iced pools, NH Grill, Kamp Kiawah camps and recreation, playgrounds, soccer fields, lighted basketball courts, volleyball,the Kiawah Island Nature Center and all events taking place during the summer,holidays and other times including the annual KI marathon, Easter Egg Hunt, Thanksgiving children's event, July 4th celebration, etc. Walk to the gorgeous, wide ten miles of beaches of Kiawah (our beach boardwalk access has convenient public restrooms too)or walk or bike on the unending paved trails to convenient Island shopping areas, Freshfield's Village Center,or any of the world-famous tennis centers or golf courses. The beautiful new Sanctuary Hotel is also just a 5 minute bike ride away.
Of course, a visit would not be complete without visiting the beautiful historic city of Charleston, SC with all its fun attractions including waterpark and aquarium just minutes away. Or all the historic gardens and plantations, working Tea Plantation, Beaufort or the many civil war sites.

Why the Owner Chose Night Heron Cottages
Since we are beach, tennis, golf and nature lovers, our choice to have a home at Kiawah was easy. We visited at least 20 different beach areas on the east coast over the years, and came running back to Kiawah because there is nothing anywhere that compares to Kiawah and Charleston. We chose the Night Heron/East Beach area because it was the very best family location on the island- we loved the private family cottages and the easy walking distance to the beach and the center of all Kiawah activities (Night Heron Park), the pool and Kamp Kiawah and Nature Center.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
As a member of the Kiawah Resort program, we have all Resort privledges for ourselves and our guests. We are within walking distance of the pool and beach, and can easily walk or bike to the Award Winning Sanctuary Hotel, East Beach Village and Market. Bike to Freshfield's as well! Since we are a private stand alone home, there is private parking and yard on a quiet lagoon for children to play and unwind.
The beautiful pool, park, play ground, basketball courts, soccer fields and Nature Center are a block away for easy walking from our cottage.

We love sharing our Kiawah home and having others tell us how they have fallen in love with Kiawah too! Many of our families come every year for their vacation and have made our home theirs. We love Kiawah all year, and especially love our time there in the fall and spring.

Our family had a wonderful time in your home! The four seasons room was perfect for spending time together. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our stay most enjoyable. We saw deer around dusk 2 evenings. Our 2-year old grandson had all the space he needed to play and the short walk to the playground was great! It was a little too cool for the pool - we hope to enjoy that on our next visit. Thanks for making your home available! We loved it!

We have been vacationing at Kiawah for over 25 years and this is the only home we've chosen to rent more than once! We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the cottage and are returning for our summer vacation. The proximity to the beach, Night Heron park and pool are ideal. The cottage is the most well appointed of any we've experienced. We cook-in most meals; the kitchen has everything we've ever needed. The owners are always very responsive and helpful. The resort privileges they provide are a 'must' for our family. This cottage is simply perfect for our family vacations!

The five of us had a wonderful week at your home on Kiawah Island. We found your home clean, warm and welcoming, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, and pots and pans. We spent most evenings in the den at the back of the house watching television and visiting. It was a restful time for all of us, and the weather was perfect the entire week! The Night Heron Pool was heated, and we were enjoyed some time in the pool. I would highly recommend this cottage for your next visit to Kiawah! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We have been going to Kiawah for many years and this is by far one of the best homes we have stayed in. The location is the best, so close to the park, pool, beach and so much more. The house itself was so clean and comfortable. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into what their guests would like and need. We had the best time and such a nice accommodation.

Just a quick note to thank you again for the use of your beautiful Kiawah cottage. Your home is very clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed using the "four season room" in the early morning and evening. We had a fantastic time enjoying the beach and pool, as well as exploring the island by bike. The cottage is cozy, clean and all beds are comfortable. Being next to the park was great for the kids and the cottage is in a centrally located to all activities. The market and shops are less than a ten minute drive. The Fresh Market is GREAT!! All the linens are clean and comfortable. The owners are very receptive to questions and prompt. We will be back.....

We had a great time at this cottage. Loved the layout and decor of the house and it's location for a family was just a great due to it's proximity to Night Heron Park. Looking forward to next year already! There is just something special about Kiawah.
