More Sand, More Shallow Water, More beautiful lakeviews, More peace and Quiet - Traverse City, Michigan Lodging Remember "the good ole days" - well, that is the feeling you get here at Harolds Resort. The long summer days you spent playing in the shallow water, fishing off shore, playing board and card games, and staying up "late"! Remember the bonfires, roasting marshmallows, and making smores? Did mom and dad ever fry up all those fish you caught for a big fish fry dinner? That can all still happen here at Harolds Resort. We have six one-family each, Bellaire log cabins and one cute and adorable little studio for two. Located at the end of the road, off the highway, in the woods on our own private peninsula. We stick out into Spider Lake like a big thumb, for the best views of the lake, the best breezes off the lake, the most quiet and peaceful location. In the summer, the cabins rent Saturday to Saturday - just as they did in 1950! You bring your own sheets, towels, paper and soap products - makes the cabin feel like it is yours. Your sheets on the beds, your towels hanging in the bathroom. The cabins are well maintained with updated furnishing, are clean and comfortable. They even have hot-and-cold running water and indoor plumbing - something they did not in 1950... And when it is time to get away for a few days in the fall, winter, or spring... we are here! Sometimes you just "need to get away" - and here you should come, a place that time has forgotten, but we have not. Little Resorts with cute little cabins are a dying breed, so look no further, you have found THE PLACE. And Special for Couples -- needing that "get a way" for some "US" time - choose Cabins #4 or #5 - in cooler weather, snuggle with your flannel sheets, down comforter, gas fireplace, and your own private HOT TUB just a step from your front door on your semi-protected, screened-in porch overlooking the lake... AWESOME honeymoon destination. Do not even worry about the outside world - it will be waiting when the respite is over. During the day, hike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, canoe, horseback ride, tour wineries, shop, golf, gamble - know that your little home-away-from-home... and its private hot tub... are waiting...
