Adirondack "Bearfoot" Cabin - Minutes to Whiteface!!
Year Purchased: 2006
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Our cabin is less than 5 minutes to Whiteface Ski Area as well as Lake Everst, a public beach and swimming area. There are many trailheads for hiking within 3-10 minutes. In nearby Jay, we like to swim off the rocks in the summer, which is by one of the only covered bridges remaining in the area. And of course, Lake Placid is a 10 minute drive through the scenic Wilmington Notch...

Judy, Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at the Bearfoot Cabin. Your place is very comfortable and accommodating. We loved the location and enjoyed the woods and wildlife around the cabin. We really lucked out with the weather we had...sunny and low winds. We had a blast. We would stay again for sure.. Thanks and hope we can stay again in the future. Kris and Kelly Rhode Island

I have just returned from a wonderful family vacation at Bearfoot cabin. It was so relaxing and cozy. The porch was a regular hangout for both the adults and kids, and we all enjoyed the firepit as well. The location was more secluded than we had anticipated, which actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being able to get to hiking trails, rivers, and the small beach nearby. This cabin was an ideal spot for our family!

Hi Judy, You have a beautiful house and we really enjoyed the "great outdoors." It rained off an on except for Thursday and Friday, but we didn't mind. We took the babies up in the gondola - they loved it. My 6-year-old participated in a hockey camp in Lake Placid at the Olympic rink. It was a great experience for him. Most of the kids were from the area, so it was nice to meet some locals and see what the kids are doing who live and breathe hockey in Lake Placid. Thanks again, Maureen

Hello Judy, We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is the perfect place to get together for good times! It is really well equipped. We managed to do BBQ on Friday and really enjoyed the foosball and tennis table... I won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning a trip in the Adirondaks! And if we plan another group trip, that will be my first choice! Thank you!

Judy, Just wanted to let you know that your cabin worked out perfectly for us! It is so cute and comfortable! We had a great time and it was so convenient. Our daughter, Andi Jo, did so well. Her coach was hoping for a finish in the top 30's and she ended up # 25.. which was excellent for her first World Cup race. In fact, she was the # 2 American... beat all the US team members except one (who is US # 1). So everyone was ecstatic! I also had a question about a piece of furniture in the cabin. The rocker in the living room, I was wondering where you purchased that. Our older daughter is pregnant and I would like to find a rocker like that for her. If you can remember where you found that or what it is called I'd appreciate the information. Thanks again for everything, Peggy Stump

The area is incredibly beautiful – we can’t believe we didn’t visit sooner and look forward to returning in the spring as we have heard it is equally impressive.Happy belated New Year! I will be in touch regarding Spring accommodation…Regards,Stephanie Carron
