  We loved this place! We were looking for a 3-bedroom that was updated and off the beaten track on the island. We found it. This place is beautiful. The owners have certainly spent a great deal of time and effort in keeping things updated, clean, and in working order. We especially loved the ceiling fans in all of the rooms and the fabulous shower in the master bath. It rained a few days while we were there, and although we brought plenty of our own games, it was nice to simply sit on the beautiful back porch and listen to the rain. If you have small children, this is an easy location for bikes. For walking, the area is great for walking and never coming upon a car. The neighbors are lovely! I "stole" a few decorating ideas from this beautiful condo. The Pottery Barn theme is comfortable and chic. The sheets and towels are top notch and I was amazed at how stocked the kitchen was with cooking essentials and utensils. We needed nothing! This condo is light and bright and has very beautiful spaces. The owners were very quick to respond to a few inital questions we had. They are very cordial and happy that others are enjoying their home as much as they do. We'll be back!

  After many trips to Seabrook/Kiawah, we chose the Chateau by the Green for our family Christmas. It was the most perfect place for celebrating the holiday together and relaxing. It was so cozy and inviting, we were ready to move right in for good! Thank you Heather for a wonderful experience from start to finish. No question, we'll be back!

  Four of us came for a weekend wedding (off island). One couple from NY and the other from FL. All in our early 60's. The house / townhouse was perfect for us. Comfortable, clean, quiet, roomy enough and a bargain. There are no beach towels but that doesn't matter because they are free with your amenity card at the beach house. The owner was communicative and helpful. The photos displayed on the site are very representative. I told the owner that we probably won't be down that way any time soon, but if we do come down again, this place will be on the top of our list.

  Our first time in seabrook island. The house was amazing. It was spacious, clean and is in a wooded area. Place looked exactly like the pictures here. Beach is about 3 minutes drive and was not crowded at all, Everyone enjoyed the bike ride thru the community. (You can rent them, owner emailed us places to rent). House had everything we needed. Even had a tool set when I needed to fix my little one's training wheels :) Wi-Fi was helpful. Lots of space for children to have fun. We would definitely stay here again. Plenty of sea food places to try. If you need variety you can drive to downtown Charleston. Call ahead since most places fill up during holidays.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.

  Our family has stayed at 'Chateau by the Green' during our past two summer vacations. The villa is the perfect place to stay on Seabrook Island for a family of 2-8. The villa is always impeccably clean and provides all the amenities needed to enjoy your Seabrook Vacation. I always enjoy the screened patio overlooking the fifth green of Crooked Oaks Golf Course. I spend many evening hours on the patio reading books and listening to the island sounds. The large, well equipped, kitchen provides enough room to make a large meal and for all family members to enjoy spending time together. The villa is within biking/driving distance to the incredible beach/swim resort. The villa is in the "wooded" part of the island where you feel pleasantly isolated surrounded by beautiful, natural lush vegetation and guaranteed to see deer. Finally, 'Chateau by the Green" is only about 35-40 minutes from Charleston, S.C. where we always spend at least two days enjoying adventures including ghost tours, dining, carriage rides, shopping, and other activities we enjoy! The owners provide amazing customer service and are available at any time to call if needed. Our family adores Seabrook Island and plans to spend all of our future Seabrook vacations at 'Chateau by the Green'. We highly recommend 'Chateau by the Green' for your Seabrook Island Vacation!

  My family stayed in this villa the last week of Sept 08 and loved it! We had 7 adults and 3 children at different times throughout the week and at times all together. The floor plan is wide open so to include everyone at all times. The furniture was kid and adult friendly, well decorated and comfortable. It is much nicer that the pictures reveal so spotless and well maintained. Right away everyone felt like it was "home". Heather could not have been more accommodating. She answered all our questions and was available at all times. We christened her baby feeding chair and appreciated the portacrib. The weather was super for beach and golf and though the beach club was closed for renovation, we enjoyed the pool and other beach access. The beach chairs and cart as well as the beach toys for the children were a nice surprise and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the Freshfields Village for its shopping and restaurants. Breakfast at Java's and Lunch at Ladles were our favorites. Try dinner at the Fat Hen, there is something for everyone. We definately would rent this property agian.
