Valhalla Cabin is located on a private ridge facing Rich Mountain, with only four cabins. This secluded location allows for year round views from both the front and back porch. One can enjoy the sunrise, sunset and when lucky the moonrise!
NEW in 2011- In May the GREAT ROOM got a 'New Look'. Now a warm color palette providing a cozier feel.
Then in October THE 'Hill' had a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT. Now the road is more like asphalt even though it still has a gravel finish. So no more lumps and bumps or dust in dry weather.
Valhalla Cabin has all the comforts of home and each bed is equipped with 3" Memory Foam for a truly great nights sleep. The wireless computer service has been updated (Oct. 2010) and gets a FAST and FULL signal.
The cabin is easy to get to, just a half mile from 'The 4 Lane' aka 515/76 however, one feels like they are miles away from civilization. A variety of activities are located nearby as well as many shops and restaurants.
The outdoor hot tub is on the covered porch so it can be enjoyed year round.
This is the perfect honeymoon or romantic getaway and fun for families too. The family dog is always welcome at no charge.

My name is Helen, and I have owned the cabin next to Valhalla since 1989. I was lucky enough to move here full time with my Bernese Mountain Dogs (from Atlanta) in 2005. This private ridge is very unique for it supports year round views to the east and the west.
Why the Owner Chose Ellijay
I love this location so much that when Valhalla Cabin was available for purchase, I could not pass up the opportunity to own the cabin next door to mine.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Very private but only 10 minuets to Ellijay and 15 minuets to Blue Ridge.
The Fantastic Views are always beautiful and change from season to season, and from morning to night.
The Full Moonrise coming up from behind Rich Mountain is my Favorite time up here.

We chose Valhalla for my birthday and a girl's weekend. It is quiet, secluded and everything anyone could want when choosing a place for reflection and relaxation. The cabin is very cozy and everything a cabin should be. It has a lot of character. The views are worth a million dollars alone. Helen makes the experience inviting - even leaving dog treats for our two Aussies that also had a wonderful time. This is one of the easiest and most economical vacation rentals I've ever worked with. Helen provides everything for you including firewood. Just bring your clothes and some food and that's all you'll need for your stay.

Beautiful cabin with spectacular views!! Great location between Elijay and Blue Ridge. Lots of things to do! The cabin has everything you need. We hated to leave! Our family enjoyed every minute and being able to bring our dog made it complete!!

My girlfriend and I rented Helen's cabin for a weekend getaway. Helen was extremely helpful and friendly and allowed us to check out late Sunday afternoon. The cabin was clean and I must echo another reviewer's comment that the pictures do not do the cabin justice. The loft bedroon really is a neat feature. We enjoyed building fires and sitting in the hot tub. We will definitely come again and appreciate dealing with a caring owner versus a company managed property!!!

Helen was wonderful!! My boyfriend and I got snowed in on the day we were to leave. She was so accomodating and the best hostess anyone would ask for. The cabin was immaculate -- Helen tends to every detail. I highly recommend a stay at the cabin!

My friend and I stayed here for a short weekend getaway. We had an amazing time! We didn't ever want to leave the cabin because it was so warm and cozy. We made ourselves venture out and do some of Helen's suggestions and it made for a phenomenal weekend. I will definitely be visiting Valhalla again!!!

Valhalla Cabin was much, much more than I expected. Heavenly view is the perfect description from every angle. The cabin has every comfort and Helen, Violet and Lindy were the greatest hosts to us and our Aussie. We will return again and again in the future.

Valhalla has something for everyone! The cabin is clean and beautiful inside and out with all the amenities. All of us had a fabulous time, especially our two year old grand daughter and our two golden retrievers! It's unbeatable for a long relaxing vacation or a short weekend getaway. We can't wait to go back!

What a great beautiful place. We had a hard time leaving. Unbelievable views from all sides of the cabin. Hot tub on porch overlooking huge mountain range. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. So comfortable and nice you could spend the day on the porch looking at the mountains, or if you want to tour around the area (lots of neat stuff to do), Helen, the owner knows it all and is extremeyl helpful. Have a great time!
