What a fabulous home with amazing views of the lagoon and golf! Eight of my college friends gathered for a week in May for a reunion in Palmetto Dunes. No husbands, no kids and no family pets. The home is just minutes to the beach and beach carts and chairs were provided for our three minute walk. What a fabulous home to vacation in. The home has two of the best-equipped kitchens we had ever had in a rental home (not that we were cooking that week). Flat screen TV, DVD’s and and WiFi throughout. The linens and Red Flower amenities added a personal touch to each bathroom. The house has a wonderful floor plan with Hotel 1 and Hotel 2, two guest rooms offering private exterior access. The house was renovated several years ago and the owners spared nothing in their renovation. The laundry room is located by the pool and has a full shower, washer, two dryers, drying wall, TV, phone and beverage cooler. A great escape (if you have to do laundry). Cocktail Hour on the dining deck took place daily at sunset overlooking the fabulous views! We would definitely recommend returning to 176 Mooring Buoy with our families next year! Carol and Phil Schembra, owners of the home and Schembra Real Estate Group provided the ultimate in customer service!! I understand it is one of the most unique homes on the Island (with a storied history).Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This property was everything described on the VRBO site and more! It's the type of home that you have to see it to believe it. We had an awesome family vacation for nine of us while celebrating our parents 60th Anniversary! This house is amazing, spacious, fun, well maintained, upgraded features and even has some historical significance. The property has many features such as a large pool, sun deck, balcony, external dining area, a dock (for fishing and kayak launching) and a beautiful golf course view. The owners (specifically Carol) was terrific, on top of everything and ensured our family had an outstanding vacation in Hiltonhead. The property is very close to beach access and a very short walk to be sitting on the beach. Overall, be prepared to enjoy a fantastic home, cool property, neat owners while having a special vacation spot to build memories!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
Owner response: A wonderful family that enjoyed the first-class experience that we provided. They took advantage of the 11-mile lagoon system for their morning canoe excursions around the community. The house is so unique in its layout that it offered privacy for all the family members. We look forward to their return.

We had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful home twice in the last few months. It is a spacious home with ample room for a large group or several families. It boasts 2 FULL kitchens(perfect for a big Christmas or Thanksgiving Dinner or perhaps a big cookout). Every bedroom is spacious with its own luxurious bathrooms. The views from the bedrooms are all either of the beautiful pool area or the amazing golf views that inlcude 3 greens and 2 tee boxes! This home has it ALL whether you are looking for just a beach getaway, family reunion, or wedding party. The owners are very accommodating and will help with anything!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
