This ski-in/ski-out, three-unit home is located directly on the slopes of Winterplace Ski Resort in Flat Top, West Virginia, literally a stone's throw from Exit 28 on I-77.
Snowed Inn is a three-story house with three separate entrances.
The first and second floor each have three bedrooms (each with Sealy Posturepedic queen-sized beds), each with two full baths, fully-equipped kitchens, and family rooms with cable TVs.
The third floor has one large bedroom with two queen-sized Sealy Posturepedic beds and a living room with two pull-out couches (one single and one queen), one twin bed, cable TV, and a DVD player.
All floors feature pretty views of the slopes and easy ski-on access to Winterplace, ski lifts, the lodge, and restaurants. The best way to reach me is email, but please check the calendar before inquiring since many dates for the upcoming year are already booked. Thanks!
Winterplace provides all levels of skiing trails and includes a snow tube park and one of the best snowboard parks in the eastern United States. Winterplace is within a three-hour drive of Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and Roanoke, Virginia, and two or less hours away from Huntington and Charleston, West Virginia. Less driving means more skiing. Winterplace provides the most hours of skiing per day with all trails lighted for skiing until 10:00 p.m.
Winterplace offers 27 trails, served by nine lifts, including two quads. Trails are lit for night skiing. Vertical drop is 603 feet, and the longest trail is one-and-one-quarter miles.
For the snowboarders, Winterplace has a Snowboard Park, with tabletops, rails, gaps, and more. A couple seasons ago, Winterplace added a halfpipe and has significant snowboard rental inventory.
Snow tubing was a popular addition to Winterplace a couple years ago. Ten lanes, served by three lifts, are offered. Separate tubing tickets are required for snow tubing.
Several restaurants at Winterplace offer aprés ski fun, including food and music.

Year Purchased: 2005
Each of our three kids first learned to ski right here at Winterplace. They all loved the ski school and the ease of getting around the mountain. We have had so many fun memories here with family and friends. We live in Greensboro, NC so the drive to our cabin is pretty easy especially since it is right off the expressway. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!
The Unique Benefits of this Chalet
Now that our children are coming upon their teen years we really enjoy the separate floors. We usually stay on the second floor and after a long day of skiing let the kids watch movies, play video games on the third floor. When we stay in the whole house we love having the two kitchens especially at Thanksgiving. We also love that Winterplace has night skiing. That is one of our favorite times to ski. The tubing is also a lot of fun!

This place is the best ski vacation home you could ask for. We stayed last year and being able to walk right out on the slope was incredible. I'm booking it again for this year!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Thank you for a wonderful week and piece of heaven! Our family enjoyed the slopes and will never again lug our skis in and out of cars, up and down a mountain after skiing up to the door! We loved watching our kids ski up and down the slope closest to the house. It gave them some independence while giving us rest and a watchful eye. The house was warm and comfortable with a perfectly stocked kitchen. We loved being so close for a snack or hot chocolate break. While the skiing and tubing was exhilarating we also found perfect rest! We never dreamed of having such wonderful mattresses/beds in a rental house. We have been searching for Sealy posturpedic mattresses ever since our stay. We look forward to our next trip and are bringing friends to fill up the whole house.
