This ski-in/ski-out, three-unit home is located directly on the slopes of Winterplace Ski Resort in Flat Top, West Virginia, literally a stone's throw from Exit 28 on I-77.
Snowed Inn is a three-story house with three separate entrances.
The first and second floor each have three bedrooms (each with Sealy Posturepedic queen-sized beds), each with two full baths, fully-equipped kitchens, and family rooms with cable TVs and VCRs.
The third floor has one large bedroom with two queen-sized Sealy Posturepedic beds and two pull-out couches (one single and one queen), cable TV, and a DVD player.
All feature pretty views of the slopes and easy ski-on access to Winterplace, ski lifts, the lodge, and restaurants.
Winterplace provides all levels of skiing trails and includes a snow tube park and one of the best snowboard parks in the eastern United States. Winterplace is within a three-hour drive of Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and Roanoke, Virginia, and two or less hours away from Huntington and Charleston, West Virginia. Less driving means more skiing. Winterplace provides the most hours of skiing per day with all trails lighted for skiing until 10:00 p.m.
Winterplace offers 27 trails, served by nine lifts, including two quads. Trails are lit for night skiing. Vertical drop is 603 feet, and the longest trail is one-and-one-quarter miles.
For the snowboarders, Winterplace has a Snowboard Park, with tabletops, rails, gaps, and more. A couple seasons ago, Winterplace added a halfpipe and has significant snowboard rental inventory.
Snow tubing was a popular addition to Winterplace a couple years ago. Ten lanes, served by three lifts, are offered. Separate tubing tickets are required for snow tubing.
Several restaurants at Winterplace offer aprés ski fun, including food and music. |
