We are just 30 miles from Asheville, the famous Biltmore House and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hendersonville is 12 miles away and home to North Carolina's State Theatre, the Flat Rock Playhouse, the Carl Sandburg Home and much more. We are minutes to the Green River, one of North Carolina's beautiful Wildlife Rivers where you can tube, canoe, or fish. We are surrounded by some of the state's best hiking opportunities, so come stomp the mountains!
Saluda can be and is enjoyed 12 months a year. Summers are mild and a great time to bring the kids and discover how much fun you can have in the mountains. Fall combines brisk days and beautiful colors when the trees provide a wonderful opportunity for picture-taking and hiking. I was right...my Mom and Dad loved the house. It was perfect for them and they love old houses so they enjoyed themselves tremendously. The family reunion was wonderful and my parents ended up inviting some family members back to the house for dinner, dessert and reminising one night. I gave everyone at the reunion your card so hopefully there will be others who will want to return to Saluda for a visit. Thanks for the flowers and fruit basket...it was a wonderful way to say welcome. Hope to come back soon....Laurie G.

What a wonderful place for the 'girls' to meet! We filled the weekend with yoga on the deck (very private, hiking, dinner theater, lots of conversation and meals outside. We walked to town everyday for shopping and even to church on Sunday morning before we left. The Hall House is a feel good house and it was perfect for us. It's decorated so cute...I'm stealing the idea with the farm tables for my den! We can't wait to come back and do the things we didn't have time to do on this trip. I think it would be a perfect house for a couple's getaway because it's so charming and romantic. Thanks again for your hospitality and sharing the house with us. Good luck until we can come again. Jim and I enjoyed spending time in Saluda over the winter. It was such a retreat from Prince Edward Island and all the snow. The Hall House is like staying in a Bed and Breakfast except we get the whole house and don't have to share with anyone. We love vintage houses and it reminded me of my Grandmother's house in Massachusetts...very warm and comfortable. You were wonderful guests and we will plan another winter with you in the near future. Thanks for all of your hospitality...much appreciation to you and your family. Alice M.
