When you get to this gorgeous beach front home, you must step out on the multiple water view decks and balconies first and delight in the splendor of the Bay …it’s a view to die for! Inside, polished wide-plank hardwood floors and a beachy décor welcome you to your summer retreat. Professionally decorated, every day is a soulful seaside reminder. A screened-in porch with a table and chairs is just perfect for dining outside; there is even a grill on site* for your enjoyment. This 2-level home has 5 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 12. Each level has a Master bedroom with queen beds and its own bath. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bedrooms on main level. Sleep Sofa queen bed in Sunroom on main level, with doors that close off the room. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have twin beds in each, with a shared bath. The 5th bedroom on main level had a double bed. There is also half bath on main level. The bay is very calm and provides the perfect place for your kids to swim, collect seashells or dig up hermit crabs. So, whether on the sand, sipping a cold drink or napping in the fabulous master bedroom, we hope you relish your time at this beach-side haven on the Bay. In fact, you may just never want to leave Lewes, DE.
This home is located in the community of Cape Shores, boasting a community pool, tennis courts, & its own fishing pier -which are available to all renters. The Cape Henlopen State Park is right next door and borders the Atlantic Ocean. The park has its own beach with a popular surf spot known as Herring Point. At the park you will also find a concession stand, bath house, fishing pier, outdoor basketball court, Frisbee golf course, circuit bike trail, bird watching, nature trails, and interactive Nature Center! Probably the most notable feature of the park are the WWI watchtowers. The park showcases their history and will even allow visitors to climb the tower (via interior stairs) and enjoy the expansive views
You can also ride your bike to historic Lewes (less than 2 mi distance) with its charming, historic Victorian houses; quaint shops and galleries, and excellent restaurants. Your visit would not be complete without a trip to King's Ice Cream on Second Street, or the Dairy Queen down near the water.
In order to maintain the integrity of the beach, there is one path for every 2 houses in Cape Shores. The path for this house is shared with the house to the left.
*Please note that Guests are responsible for supplying all linens (sheets, pillow cases, towels, wash cloths, dish towels, paper products, etc.) and replacing propane tank for the grill if you should run out before check-out. Fully equipped kitchen and full size Washer & Dryer on site. Extra frig on lower level too!

We loved the house and location. The rooms were big; the kitchen was open to the eating area; there were two living areas with plenty of space for reading and tv viewing; the views were amazing (eg, sunsets, dolphins); great screen porch for dinners watching sunset; the beach was great for kids--calm waters; low tides; uncrowded beach for play. The neighborhood is right next to the park, so we could run and bike on the path through the seashore without getting in a car. There is also a pool and tennis. Town is short drive away, with several cute stores and restaurants (much quieter than Rehoboth, so if you want boardwalk activity, this is not the place). One point of clarification: You can't walk right out to the beach--you have to go out to the street and down one house to the public access path to the beach. It would be nice if owners made a direct path.
Recommended for:Families with young children.
