Your Papakea Resort unit is a haven in the midst of your tropical paradise. The exquisite burl furniture adds elegance which is rare in a Maui condominium. The lush waterfall with craggy rocks, moss, and Papakea Resort's palms immediately outside your glass sliding door, explodes on your wall of mirrors which brings this lovely tropical garden view inside in a dramatic way.
As you lie in your Papakea Resort studio's luxuriously comfortable pillow-top king-sized bed, nestled behind a fish pond and sprinkling waterfall, the tall foliage of the Papakea Resort complex makes you feel you are the only ones on the island. Yet you can stand at your Papakea Resort Studio window or relax on your Papakea Resort lanai and see the ocean beyond Papakea's beautiful swimming pool.
With a floor plan for lovers, our Papakea Resort room is not interrupted with an island. The recently renovated beautifully appointed kitchen is efficiently tucked out of the way for your full enjoyment of the Papakea Resort condo. Beautiful granite counters provide a foundation for a stunning Bali stone bowl sink. New maple cabinets provide full kitchen storage which accompany all necessary appliances including a refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, ice maker, washer, dryer.
The same beautiful maple cabinets are continued in the bath and we love the twin Bali stone sinks which, we understand were the first on island to be used in the bathroom. The sizable bathroom in our Papakea studio will serve you well, dividing the shower and commode area by a pocket door and containing ample hanging closet space and an easily-operated safe. The stacked washer and dryer is tucked away in a closet of our Papakea Resort condo. Our Papakea Resort unit is tiled throughout which gives you that island feel against your feet in the always-cool air-conditioned unit for year-round pleasure.
The Papakea Resort grounds tropical spendor beckons you to explore. Take a stroll out the sliding glass doors, across your Papakea lanai to the edge of the koi pond in front of your Papakea unit. My husband loves to stand on the little bridge watching the calming motion of the many different colored koi in the pond. Now look out over the grounds of Papakea Resort and enjoy the manicured grounds, the colored flower beds, the putting greens, and coconut palms.
With the gorgeous ocean beaches and beachfront restaurants only a short walk from your door, you may choose to play miniature golf on one of the two professionally landscaped putting greens, play on one of the two oceanfront shuffleboard courts or take a dip into one of the two gorgeous pools serviced by two full hot tubs and saunas. Walk over to the Molokai Pool tiled to appear as if you are swimming with beautiful fish. Papakea offers swimmercize lessons three mornings a week in addition to yoga lessons. Or you can check out shuffleboard or putting equipment from the Front Desk and play with the ocean waves roaring right beside you. You can barbeque and picnic by the pool while you enjoy the never-ending waves that roll into Papakea’s beach.
You are in Phase One of Papakea and there is a mirror image Phase Two a few steps away with further tropical gardens, the Lanai Pool, another 18 hole putting green and oceanfront shuffleboard.
Being able to park immediately behind this Papakea unit is great for convenience, and being able to walk out the sliding glass doors of your ground floor unit will be your route to the pools, the ocean and beautiful beach, and even neighboring restaurants to which you can walk. Because Papakea is on the edge of Kaanapali Beach, you have accessibility to the wonderful pool side dining at neighboring restaurants only a few minutes away. A wonderful benefit of Papakea is that there is no through traffic on the property.
Of the various units we own on Maui, this is our long-time favorite; the exquisite, economical, Papakea. While we love the direct oceanfront sound of the crushing waves in the ground floor unit of Napili Shores A-103 and Mahana 412’s spectacular fourth floor view through the palms of the ocean and beach immediately below, and Paki Maui 408’s oceanfront splendor, for a real rest, secluded get-away, romance and sheer tropical beauty, is our runaway favorite.
Your Papakea Resort unit blends seclusion and a garden rest with the convenience of being right across the street from a full grocery store, Star Market, a snorkel shop, deli, Italian and Mexican Restaurants, real estate office, coffee shop, therapeutic massage, newspaper and book store, fish market, sub shop, fishing and tackle shop and many more.
You can drive a short way from the Papakea to a choice of championship golf courses; Kapalua or Kaanapali or take a ferry to the island of Lanai for the Challenge of Manele. Or stay at Papakea and play tennis on one of three lighted courts. Your choice of water activities is endless. It is hard work having so much fun, so you may want to relax in one of Papakea’s lawn chairs to enjoy the amazing sunset at the water’s edge, before exploring one of the many nearby outstanding restaurants for dinner.
