Great house in East Hampton!

I stayed with a group of 8 freinds on the 4th of July weekend - nice quiet East Hampton location, pool and barbecue and easy access to the bay beach. The house is simple but has all you need for a relaxing weekend with friends. The house was very clean and the owner extremely helpful - we even went to the restaurants he recommended and really enjoyed it. I would definetly recommend staying here!

Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Really nice, cozy house. Had a great time with friends. The pool is nice and you can be in East Hampton in a few minutes. Ron is really helpful. I highly recommend this house

I spent 2 days right before Memorial Day week end. I could house my family for a very decent price in a very nice area. The house is welcoming, the pool is nice - i unfortunately couldn't try it because of the weather! The correspondance with the owner was smooth with no surprise. I got my safety deposit within 10 days after the rental. Instructions for the house are very clear. it was a very good experience.

A group of 6 of us stayed here over the Hamptons Marathon weekend and were thrilled to have found this wonderfully quaint and delightful home to stay in. The owner couldn't have been easier to deal with or more cooperative, and the house instructions were easy and reasonable. And let's not forget, so affordable! Perfect for responsible people who simply don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a weekend getaway. Would stay here again and again!! Thank you soooo very much!!

We recently returned from our third stay at this Springs home. It's perfect for our multi-generational family. The pool is wonderful. This year we used the beach pass provided and went down to Gardiner's Bay several evenings to walk on the beach, collect shells and watch the sunset. And we made our annual trek out toward Montauk to lunch on lobster rolls and oysters. It's a lovely area and the owner Ron is a pleasure to deal with.

I was very lucky to come across this rental. It is hard to find a daily rental in the hamptons with such a low rate. Most realtors laughed when I told them I wanted to rent only for the weekend. Ron was very accommodating. He even helped locate local restaurants and beaches in the area for me and my friends since we were not familiar with East Hampton. He was very nice and made the whole process of renting a house very easy for us. The house was very clean. The bed rooms were very spacious. Big back yard, lovely pool and a nice pool deck to sun bath on. My girlfriends and I really loved the house and had a very good weekend there. We would definitely rent again with Ron and I would recommend the house to anyone else looking to rent in the Hamptons.

This property was filthy when I arrived. There was a full refigerator of outdated produce and products that smelled up the kitchen. The kitchen utensils needed to be thrown out. There was mold on many of the kitchen supplies. Numerous lightbulbs needed to be replaced. Light fixtures did not work. The linens were soiled and dirty. Wet towels were left for us to wash if we wanted to use them. There was the worst "water spout"/ tornado reported in 50 years per the local newspaper (Dan's Paper) on our last night of our stay. I understand that "acts of nature" occur but the owner had no emergency supplies (candles. matches, working flashlights or batteries) available. Though the owner did refund the cleaning fee once I let him know of the poor condition of the house, he could have cared less that the house was in no way safe for us to stay in nor would he provide any concession as a courtesy to us. I would never rent this property again.

Owner response:MALICIOUS, BASELESS REVIEW - Unfortunately, you can't please everyone. In this case, I made every effort to accommodate my guest. There was a terrible storm during this renter's stay. I did everything in my power to help make their stay a pleasant one, but nothing I could do was acceptable. Even though their claims about cleanliness were without merit, I refunded their cleaning fee. When they saw I refunded their cleaning fee, they relentlessly attempted to gain further refunds because of the weather. There is nothing I can do about bad weather. Please see my over 40 positive prior guest comments. The house is always immaculate. I've got the best cleaning staff in the Hamptons. I sympathize with their issues about bad weather, but unfortunately, this is something over which I have no control. That is no reason to leave such a provocative, malicious review. My allegiance is always to the renter. I pride myself on going the extra mile to make everyone's stay a pleasant one. I will do everything I can to make sure yours is also. Thanks!
