Several girlfriends and I stayed in this house last summer and had a blast! We enjoyed it so much that we are renting the same house this year! I would highly recommend it to others looking for a weekend getaway! Upon arrival the house was always clean, organized and ready for our weekend stay. We were pleasantly surprised with to have rented such a great house with a beautiful pool and backyard. The East Hampton location is in a cozy quiet neighborhood perfect for families or for a girls weekend. Not only was the house for our weekend stay but the owner whom we rented from made the rental process a breeze and was more than accommodating to any needs we had while staying on this property.

I am currently looking for a summer rental and came upon the posting for this home my friend and I rented last year. We arrived right after the storm. The pool was unusable it was so full of leaves and branches it took at least four hours to clean out. The lawn furniture including the gas barbecue were stored in a shed. When i was able to remove it from the shed it was filthy and required time comsuming cleaning. Now I understand the unusual circumstances of a storm and the difficulties finding people to clean up after a storm but the owner of a vacation home that is being compared to staying in a hotel has a responsibility to make the home presentable. I just want to add even if there was no storm I found similar conditions to "Never Again" The kitchen was full of clutter including old news papers and opened food I would never consider eating. There were limited pots and pans and they were damaged calphon which I was afraid to use. The toaster oven didn't work, lights had non-working light bulbs and the towel rack in the bathroom was broken and the house smelled of mold I have photos to document everything but I don't see anywhere to post it.. When we contacted the owner he thought it wasn't such a big deal for me to clean up in fact I might even find it relaxing. I will say the pool is very nice but there is limited outdoor lighting so it was difficult to barbecue at night. By the afternoon of the second day people cme to clean but I had already spend hours cleaning so my kids could use the pool. The owner offered no compensation or apologies. The area is great just look for a more responsible caring owner who is willing to make the extra effort when necessary.

Owner response:In the 5+ years I’ve been renting my home in East Hampton, there have really only been three severe weather events. Mostly, the weather, light and natural beauty here is quite spectacular! Of those three events, everyone has asked for some sort of refund. Mostly, it has been under the guise of something minor where, in good weather, renters would take it in stride. Of these three really difficult weather events over which I have absolutely no control, I did issue a partial refund to one. This renter did not leave a bad review, the other two did. I feel badly when things happen that make my guests’ stay unpleasant, and do attempt to do everything in my power to rectify the situation. In this case, there was a severe storm that lasted just up until check in. I had been calling the weather authorities and monitoring the situation closely, as very occasionally in these cases, there can be a complete utilities outage, and the rental would have to be cancelled. Fortunately, this has not yet happened. I was gratified to learn, and also to apprise this renter, that a cancellation would not be necessary, and they would be able to stay in the house. There were most definitely downed branches, leaves in the pool, and the barbeque had been properly stored in the shed by my handyman prior to the onset of the storm to avoid damage. My guests arrived that afternoon, and I did ask if they wouldn’t mind using the net to clear the leaves from the pool. Luckily, there was NO damage to the house. My handyman was otherwise engaged, but did arrive the following morning at 6:00 a.m. to remove the grill from it’s safe storage, and also spent two to three hours removing branches and otherwise straightening up. I’m sorry that this guest’s stay was marred by this event. I’m very surprised to see a review left 8 months after the fact, but as previously stated, I cannot issue refunds based on bad weather. My friends and I stayed at this house three different weeks during the summer 2011. It was absolutely perfect – rooms are a great size, two bathrooms, and the pool is perfect. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve actually gone ahead and booked the house for four weekends this summer. I would highly recommend the house to friends and family in the future. It was great!

I stayed with a group of 8 freinds on the 4th of July weekend - nice quiet East Hampton location, pool and barbecue and easy access to the bay beach. The house is simple but has all you need for a relaxing weekend with friends. The house was very clean and the owner extremely helpful - we even went to the restaurants he recommended and really enjoyed it. I would definetly recommend staying here!

Stayed here with some friends on 3 separate occasions last summer, and have already booked for this summer again! The house is clean, comfortably sleeps 8, and perfect for a weekend (or week) getaway! Quiet street with a private, secluded backyard/pool area makes for a relaxing vacation and in a good location relative to shops and restaurants. The owner is nice and very easy to coordinate with. Highly recommended for a trip to the Hamptons!

I spent 2 days right before Memorial Day week end. I could house my family for a very decent price in a very nice area. The house is welcoming, the pool is nice - i unfortunately couldn't try it because of the weather! The correspondance with the owner was smooth with no surprise. I got my safety deposit within 10 days after the rental. Instructions for the house are very clear. it was a very good experience.

A group of 6 of us stayed here over the Hamptons Marathon weekend and were thrilled to have found this wonderfully quaint and delightful home to stay in. The owner couldn't have been easier to deal with or more cooperative, and the house instructions were easy and reasonable. And let's not forget, so affordable! Weekend Rental

I was very lucky to come across this rental. It is hard to find a daily rental in the hamptons with such a low rate. Most realtors laughed when I told them I wanted to rent only for the weekend. Ron was very accommodating. He even helped locate local restaurants and beaches in the area for me and my friends since we were not familiar with East Hampton. He was very nice and made the whole process of renting a house very easy for us. The house was very clean. The bed rooms were very spacious. Big back yard, lovely pool and a nice pool deck to sun bath on. My girlfriends and I really loved the house and had a very good weekend there. We would definitely rent again with Ron and I would recommend the house to anyone else looking to rent in the Hamptons.

We recently returned from our third stay at this Springs home. It's perfect for our multi-generational family. The pool is wonderful. This year we used the beach pass provided and went down to Gardiner's Bay several evenings to walk on the beach, collect shells and watch the sunset. And we made our annual trek out toward Montauk to lunch on lobster rolls and oysters. It's a lovely area and the owner Ron is a pleasure to deal with.

This property was filthy when I arrived. There was a full refigerator of outdated produce and products that smelled up the kitchen. The kitchen utensils needed to be thrown out. There was mold on many of the kitchen supplies. Numerous lightbulbs needed to be replaced. Light fixtures did not work. The linens were soiled and dirty. Wet towels were left for us to wash if we wanted to use them. There was the worst "water spout"/ tornado reported in 50 years per the local newspaper (Dan's Paper) on our last night of our stay. I understand that "acts of nature" occur but the owner had no emergency supplies (candles. matches, working flashlights or batteries) available. Though the owner did refund the cleaning fee once I let him know of the poor condition of the house, he could have cared less that the house was in no way safe for us to stay in nor would he provide any concession as a courtesy to us. I would never rent this property again.

Owner response:MALICIOUS, BASELESS REVIEW - Unfortunately, you can't please everyone. In this case, I made every effort to accommodate my guest. There was a terrible storm during this renter's stay. I did everything in my power to help make their stay a pleasant one, but nothing I could do was acceptable. Even though their claims about cleanliness were without merit, I refunded their cleaning fee. When they saw I refunded their cleaning fee, they relentlessly attempted to gain further refunds because of the weather. There is nothing I can do about bad weather. Please see my over 40 positive prior guest comments. The house is always immaculate. I've got the best cleaning staff in the Hamptons. I sympathize with their issues about bad weather, but unfortunately, this is something over which I have no control. That is no reason to leave such a provocative, malicious review. My allegiance is always to the renter. I pride myself on going the extra mile to make everyone's stay a pleasant one. I will do everything I can to make sure yours is also. Thanks!

This house was exactly what my friends and I were looking for for the fourth of July weekend (we are in our mid/late 20s). It is difficult to find a nice place to stay in East Hampton with no minimum stay requirement, not to mention a great place at a very reasonable rate! With this house my extended family (5 adults, two young children) were able to enjoy a great Hamptons weekend in a great location. I highly recommend it. The house was clean with no issues and has a beautiful pool deck with grill, both of which we took full advantage. The landlord is very professional and delivered on everything he promised.

We spent seven glorious days in this East Hampton/Springs home. It not only is clean and spacious but the split level layout allowed us to accommodate the privacy needs of a teenager!The pool and deck are immaculate and the large gas grill was regularly put to good use. This was a great house. It's spacious - comfortably accommodated 8 adults and it was very clean. I think the best feature is the pool and deck area. The pool was clean and well maintained and there is a gas grill near the pool area, which makes it ideal for a poolside BBQ. I would definitely rent this house again and would recommend it to all my friends.

We had a wonderful weekend at this house. It is in a quiet, relaxed location with access to all the hamptons life and superb beaches. My friends and I rented this house for Memorial Day weekend and we absolutely loved it. The house was spacious and very* clean. The house is perfect for a family vacation for all seasons. There is a lot of room, and at the same time, there is a very cozy atmosphere. My family very much enjoyed our stay there and look forward to renting the house again. It is very affordable. For the quality of accommodation, the price is the best you will find, especially in East Hampton. I recommend this as a perfect get away for those looking to relax and just have a good time.

Enjoyed our two week return to the relaxing, lovely, Springs area of East Hampton. Clean, comfortable house. Walked on ocean beach and ate pizza at Sam's. Fun.

We just got back from our stay at this peaceful, quiet Springs home. We loved it. Our family consisted of two grandparents, son, his wife, her sister and one grandchild. And each of us had the same reaction. We spent most of our time in the beautiful pool or sitting around it reading and relaxing. Separate sleeping quarters downstairs provided privacy and some healthy separation for grandparents. Home was immaculate. Washer and dryer came in very handy. We wanted for nothing. Ron the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We're booking now for next year.

I had a great Memorial Day weekend in East Hampton Springs! This is the second summer I have rented this house and, once again, it was a wonderful visit. It was a little too windy and cold to spend much time at the beach, but we had a great time relaxing by the pool, bbq'ing and exploring the Springs on our bikes. The house is bright and clean. I highly recommend.

Thanks for the lovely house rental. We vacationed in the Hamptons for a May wedding on Shelter Island. We invited both sets of grandparents for a total of 7. The house accomodated all nicely. We enjoyed the pool and deck (although freezing in May!) and appreciated the little things like the lap-top and washer and dryer. The house was spotlessly clean! The private beach is a short drive away and is filled with shells - very fun. Thanks so much again - we would definitely recommend your little cottage! The De Matte Family

Ron, Thank you for providing a efficent rental expereience! Your house was the ideal middle ground to meet our friends from England. We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving at the house and found the kitchen equipped with all necessary items. FYI, the grocery stores were open till 2pm on Thanksgiving day. The house was clean, and everything worked well. We really appreciate the use of the beach pass and enjoyed walking on the beach and getting the fresh air. Thanksgiving was a beautiful time to be in the Hamptons, the leaves were just changing (something that happens much earlier in The Midwest). We found that your house was ideally located between all of the small towns that we wanted to visit, and they all had just enough of a crowd to get us into the holiday spirit. As an added bonus, we found that we could easily get into some of the best resturants! We enjoyed Nick and Toni's! Thank you again!
