We arrived at the apartment and were met by Esther and her husband. We were shown round the villa and then left to settle in. The apartment is well equipped and Esther had obtained some supplies for us to get us through the evening and breakfast. The apartment is up a hill so would not be suitable for anyone with problems walking. Walking down the hill, the nearest beach is Reeds bay, a beautiful beach were you can obtain a beach lounger and Banks beers from the locals. This beach is not over populated and is a lovely sandy beach. The nearest bar is the John Moore bar, where a friendly beer or two can be enjoyed with tourists and locals. Speightstown and Holetown are a bus ride away. Zaccios, in Holetown, a beach bar is a fantastic place to spend the day, where you can hire a lounger from Trinni and enjoy a meal in Zaccios and be served a beer or cocktail from Trudy, Dave or Pearson. You can enjoy a boat ride from Mark to see the turtles and swim with them and tropical fish. Along the road side there are several rum shops and many enjoyable evenings were spent in Coxies bar opposite the oldest church in Holetown. Ramshackle bar, next to the Lonestar Hotel has a fantastic beach and served reasonably priced meals. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda at various times of the day enjoying the breeze and being greeted by anyone who walked by.
