Cozy, convenient, and close!

I just stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and this property offered you everything you need. Otto was very nice, accommodating and responded to my inquiry quickly. We stayed with 3 people comfortably. The kitchen was a perfect size and was fully equipped with everything you needed to cook if you wanted to. There was also a microwave if you needed to heat up some leftovers. The futon was surprisingly comfortable. If you wanted to go by the beach there was beach stuff in the closet for you to use. There was also a lot of extra pillows and blankets if you got cold. The AC was pretty cold so you never have to worry about the heat. I liked how we could gate up our cars, it made me feel safe and it was convenient. But the neighborhood seemed safe so there was nothing to worry about. You were close to all of the touristy destinations in San Juan but also all of the other areas off the beaten path which I preferred. The decor was also a nice touch that you could appreciate. It was a smooth stay and I would suggest this property for anyone who is staying in San Juan area. Next year, I will be contacting Otto to stay here again.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I had a very good time at the cozy little apartment in San Juan. The apartment offered many amenities which helped me to save countless amounts of money. Besides one small leak and a somewhat dirty shower curtain, the place was wonderful. The hospitality by the owner was outstanding, He gave many local recommendations to retaurants, activities and more. The place was secure and just the right size. If you choose to stay here, you will not regret your decision.

Regarding the leak we did repair this twice prior to your arrival and thought we had it, but obviously not, so it was coated once more in response to your comment and hopefully it will be completely dry now. Sorry for the somewhat dirty shower curtain. We buy washable curtains and they are washed on a regular basis but we must have waited a bit too long in this case. Hope your trip was a great one.

The location of the bungalow was very convenient. It is very close to Old San Juan and also the airport as Otto says. It's also close to most shopping. I enjoyed being centrally located so it wasn't too much of a ride to get the the east and west of PR. Overall, it's a nice rental though there are a few things that could be repaired. I was a bit flummoxed with the door lock. It unlocked very easily but gave me fits a few times trying to lock it, both with the key or with the thumb lock. I kept trying to figure out if the door in the bedroom that led to the outside but was permanently locked was actually covered in plastic on the other side or if it was open to the air. I had a few unintended visitors of the insect kind and just felt the place could've been a bit more insulated. Other than those small things, it was a great place and I enjoyed my visit to PR very much and Otto was helpful in finding my way around. Thanks so much Otto :)

Owner response:Hi, thanks so much for your review. It was a pleasure to meet you. I agree the door lock did get a little sticky, and sorry for the inconvenience. The lock was opened, checked and oiled and seems to be working fine now. We'll tighten up any cracks to prevent any further unintended visitors stopping by to chat with our guests and thanks for giving us a heads up. We should mention to our guests that in the tropics there are more insects than back home, so any tiny opening or even between screens can be small enough for an occasional visitor, but we try our best and do regular caulking of all joints and some spraying to keep our places as clean as possible. Glad you enjoyed your vacation !

My 2 girlfriends & myself stayed at this apartment(5/13-5/18/09)It was conveniently close to the supermarket, bus stops & the beach.we had a great time,& Otto was a gracious host. I will rent it again,I highly recommend it.

The area in San Juan where we stayed was peacefull, quiet and clean, And the gated community offered a great sleep at night.. The apartment offered everything our own home had, and was decorated for our special occasion.. Outside the door was a beautiful garden with Hummingbirds, lizards and Coque frogs. The wild life was amazing.. In one direction we were 7 mins from the the airport, and in the other direction we were 10min from Old San Juan.. Inbetween was Beaches, Casinos and Resturants.. Everything was beautiful.. Will we visit Puerto Rico again? Yes!! Will we rent from Otto again? yes!!
