Last year my husband and I stayed 3 months in John and Kathy's home. We so enjoyed our stay that we made a reservation to stay there again this year for four months. Unfortunately, because of medical issues that have recently developed, we will be unable to return this winter. John and Kathy's home is clean, private. well appointed and well suppled. We enjoyed our time hiking about the neighborhood and nearby desert and on the patio grilling and playing horseshoes. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Entertainment, dining, golfing and other activities are near by as are goods and services. From the back wall, we could see California: Nevada was close at hand as is the Colorado River. There are many places, both man made and natural, nearby to explore. We had no problem finding someone to cut my hair (see card in their kitchen drawer with other local info) and found a friendly church nearby (Mojave Valley UMC). You could not ask for better landlords. We know that anyone who stays in this home will have a very enjoyable respite form the doldrums of winter. We hope to return next year. We would rate this home, area, and owners a # 10! For more info see our previous review.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: thank you

This is our first time "snow birding" and we couldn't have come to a better home. Our three months here have gone much too fast! The description and photos in the listing accurately reflected the home and its amenities. This home is clean, comfortably and attractively furnished, well maintained and well supplied. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The transaction for the home went smoothly and John was prompt in answering any questions that we had. We feel that the Mohave Valley area is probably the best place to winter. The weather here is the same or better than Phoenix. Unlike the valley (Phoenix area) there is very little congestion and no smog. Being so close to Laughlin and its entertainment and economical dining is a definite plus! We would DEFINITELY recommend this home!Recommended for: Age 55+.

We rented John and Kathy's home in February and March 2010. The home is very clean, comfortable, well furnished and well maintained. We felt like we were living in our own home. The neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors were very friendly. We feel that whoever rents this home in the future will be as satisfied as we were. We would recommend it to friends, relatives, or anyone else who would contact us. John and Kathy were excellent landlords and were available to answer any and all questions we had. If we vacation in the Mohave Valley area again we will definitely consider renting this home if it is available. Thank you, John and Kathy, for letting us rent and enjoy your beautiful home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

Since this is our third winter in the lovely state of Arizona, I must say that our stay in John and Kathy's home was without question the most enjoyable. Our daily walks around the subdivision not only provided us with much needed exercise, but gave us the opportunity to see and visit with many of the residents as well as other visitors. Since our next winter will be spent on the other side of the country, I look forward to the future and the possibility of returning to this lovely home. Again, thanks to John and Kathy for sharing their home with us. Chuck and Joyce FrailingDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We rented John and Kathy's Mohave Valley home in January, February and March to get away from the snow in B.C. We cannot say enough about how pleased we were. The transaction went smoothly, the home is comfortable, cozy and clean. The neighborhood is safe and quiet with convienient access to shopping and sites of interest. We will definitely consider John and Kathy's home again if we return to the area in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This is an email from our first guest. Here you go John. Regards, Kris We drove down from Ontario, Canada to stay from January to end of March at John & Kathy’s Mohave Valley home. The area provides many places of interest, both natural and man-made, and when we returned home in the evening from a long hard day of Tourist, it was to a spacious, well furnished home with plenty of room and comfortable furniture. Amenities like grocery stores, video shops, hair salons and shopping are close by and plentiful. They say; "Time flies when you are having fun." , and our three months seemed like a couple of weeks. We had a great time.Kris & Cliff RuttanBobcaygeon, ONDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: This is our summer vacation home which is only rented to snowbirds escaping the winter each year.Kathy works for the Claremont School district and I am a Commercial Realtor. We have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
Why the Owner Chose Cimarron Lake:
We have old time friends who live in the area and we have been coming here for the last 40 years to water ski. We love the area because it is so central to everything. We have the river with our own private marina and the lake above the dam is close by. The golf is great and the guys get together for a long golf weekend every May.
