New Braunfels house description
Camp Willow Cottages are located on the Lake Dunlap. Lake Dunlap is part of the guadalupe river. It is a constant level lake designed for skiing, lounging and swimming. 2 1/2 acres of lush green lawn with many 100 foot tall trees. We have 650 feet of improved water frontage with new fishing dock/pier. A great place to fish, swim or just relax.
It is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting-away from all the crowds.
Our Camp House is a casual lake house. It is the original farmhouse built on the property that I have renovated but it is still a quaint, eclectic house. We are pet friendly. It is 3 bedroom/2 bath and sleeps 12+people. It includes a wonderful deck on the front that overlooks the water, patio furniture and a large bbq grill/smoker. Free usage of washer and dryer in house. House is fully furnished with all bed & bath linens and kitchen utensils/dishes/pots/etc. Nicely decorated in a nautical/fishing motif. Comfortable and rustic casual.
We are located within 5-10 minutes of Schlitterbahn, the Comal River, the Guadalupe River and Gruene Hall.
A great place for families and reunions. We have a launching ramp on site so bring your jet ski's or boat. We have many water toys you can use such at kayaks, rafts, john boat, floats.
Also 2 cottages (sleep 8 each)
We also have the Red house that sleeps 10.
So the entire property can sleep 38.

We just recently stayed this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The house was amazing and everything was clean before our arrival. It was perfect for group and the location was perfect for rockin R to pick us up. This was our first year to actually stay in a house and it made it the best vacation ever. We floated for the two days but it was nice to come back and hang out by the lake and not have to drive anywhere. It felt like a home away from home we will definitely be coming back next year! The houses looked just like the pictures. We were definately happy.

We recently rented the Camp House at Camp Willow Cottages. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thought that the Camp House was a lovely place and met our needs quite nicely. However, I feel there were things that should have been taken care of prior to our arrival, mainly cleaning issues. We found the house to be in generally good condition with most of the normal amenities. It was evident that the house had had a basic cleaning performed before our arrival, but appeared it had not had a "deep" cleaning in some time. The following is a list of things that should have been attended to prior to our visit: 1. Cobwebs in various places 2. Ceiling fan in the kitchen was very dirty (full of grime and dust) 3. Deep layer of dust on ledges above stove and other areas 4. Patio cushions so dirty we couldn't sit on them without a towel 5. A/C Filters cleaned (smelled heavily of mold) 6. Dishwashing soap - there was none, we had to use hand soap 7. Adequate supply of toilet tissue 8. Check to see if lightbulbs need replacing (several were out in the lamps) 9. Bath soap (there was actually an open/used bar in the back bathroom - with a hair on it-ugh!) 10. Linen closet - That was the biggest eyesore of all. Quilts, blankets, sheets, etc, were just thrown inside. Needs to be organized and neat - most were unfolded and wadded up, which looked very messy. 11. Basic minor repairs inside house (i.e., missing corner tile on counter and wooden tile above stove) 12. Coffee maker needs to be cleaned with vinegar (brews coffee one drop at a time - very, very slow). According to the rules set forth in the rental agreement, there seems to be high expectations of what the tenants are responsible for before vacating the premises. We paid a mandatory cleaning fee for post-cleaning services, so I don't feel like we should be responsible for any of the cleaning(i.e., cleaning and storing dishes, especially since there was no dish soap provided). Nor do I feel like we should have been responsible for stripping the bed linens. We certainly wouldn't be responsible for this in a hotel, or a Bed & Breakfast, and isn't that what we paid a cleaning fee for? The chair cushions on the deck need to be cleaned. A suggestion, perhaps protective covers should be used between renters, or after use, place cushions inside the house or a storage bin. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the location is in close proximity to local attractions.I would still recommend to others.

About the owner: I am 55 year old female named Jane and love the water and the beauty of the hill country.
Why the Owner Chose New Braunfels:
I purchased the property as an opportunity to retire early. The property is the most beautiful piece I have ever seen so I decided to build out there myself. I reminds me a lot of Landa Park with large green expanses and huge trees everywhere. The water is what attracts me the most so I do boat and own a few seadoos.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The property is to die for. It is our best feature. It is so beautiful. 2.5 acres of a park like setting, lush green lawn, huge trees. I have 650' of improved water frontage with a cement walkway along the water. Launching ramp on site with dock. Quiet, serene, a great place to decompress and relax.
