Ski up the Mountain in the late fall, winter and early spring while playing golf, swimming and sunning in the Valley during the spring, summer and fall! Whatever you want to do on your vacation, the Wintergreen Resort and Stoney Creek Country Club Community is the perfect location for your family all year round.
The Tranquility Retreat is located at the base of the mountain in Stoney Creek, the sister community to the Wintergreen Resort. This newly constructed house offers comfortable and clean accommodations for multiple families nestled on a wooded acre of property. This beautiful and comfortably furnished home has five bedrooms with four and a half baths. Our guests often comment that the house is much larger than it looks in our pictures so you will be pleasantly surprised!
Three owner suites (two on the main level and one upstairs) offer king-sized beds with private baths. A fourth upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a fifth bedroom has a pair of twin bunk-beds capable of accommodating four safely. The fourth and fifth bedroom share a bathroom and can be closed-off from the rest of the upstairs to make a "family suite" if desired. All of the rooms have a cable TV, wireless/wired internet service and a phone.
In addition to the many indoor spaces for your family and friends, there are plenty of outdoor spaces for use by everyone. You will love the large covered deck wrapped around the back of the house, the spacious stone patio with a fire pit, and a second stone patio with a hot-tub.
Stoney Creek is a Country Club community offering 27 holes of golf, tennis courts, a community lake and miles of mountain trails. Staying in the valley offers many advantages as the temperature is typically 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the mountain all year round. This means much safer access in the winter and more enjoyable spring and fall temperatures.
If you plan your trip right, you can ski up the mountain and golf in the valley during the same vacation. When desired, the resort, mountain golf course, spa, and ski slopes are a short drive away.
If you tire of the resort, the surrounding area offers many attractions including historical sites, caverns, wineries, the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The community shopping strip with grocery, video store and pizza parlor are just minutes away.

What a Wonderful stay

We just came back from 3 day vacation. We spent our Christmas there with our friends. This property is wonderful choice for our group, age 2-47. My 6-year-old daughter called it "Cabin Home". The property owners put extra effort to decorate the house. It feels like a "home" away from home. Will go back in the future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
