The beauty of "Surf n' Sand" is definitely it's location. The white sand beach that runs right up to the yard stretches for several miles in both directions with some of the best swimming the North Shore has to offer. Summer is beautiful and the ocean much calmer and very inviting to take a dip but if you are a surfer - come November - April there is truly no better place to be. Just steps from Pipeline, Rocky Point, and everything in between, you will be in the perfect zone come winter time.
The large yard is well shaded with coconut and kamani trees offering refuge from the afternoon sun. And come sunset, the garden and ground level deck make for a pleasant mai-tai and outstanding views of the ocean and unforgettable Sunsets. A place of peace which you might not want to leave.
The house itself is a vintage beach cottage that has been recently remodeled with new bamboo style floors, giving the interior a sharp new look. It also has just been painted inside and out and this fresh coat of vacation colors makes this cottage a very happy house There is a full kitchen that opens into a spacious living room. A oversized walk in shower inside and a tropical private outdoor garden shower outside are the 2 options on where to freshen up .
The oceanside part of the Surf and Sand House can be rented as a romantic getaway for 1 couple or even 2 couples, or a small family as a 1 or 2 bedrooms with 1 bath
The master bedroom is the closest room to the ocean and is home to a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a full size bed and it's own private entrance.
At times this home can be expanded to up to 4 bedrooms with bedding for up to 8 people. A normally closed back portion of the house is made available for a larger group with different needs. A connecting door makes this an easy upgrade. The 3rd "yellow" bedroom is a quiet cozy queen room, the 4th "green" bedroom a perfect kids room with bunk beds.
Whole house rentals are not available for short stays. 1-2 bedrooms have a 4 night minimum please.
For those green-minded travelers out there, it should be noted that all cleaning supplies used in the house are non-toxic and eco-friendly, and there is sorted recycling available right across the street. There are lots of good eating places on the Northshore and Foodland is very close by o take care of all your shopping needs.
What's more, the North Shore Country Market convenes every saturday right across the street. It's the best of all worlds.
All in all, Surf n' Sand is ideal for a small family, a group of friends, two couples, or even one couple, who want a simple, cozy house and the beach right at their fingertips.
If you're looking for glitz and glam -- this is not your place, though free wireless internet is available.
