Completed in May 2006, the house, designed to enjoy the outside, is a 2,000 square-foot 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath floor plan with a covered porch and a large trellis-topped entertaining area, seamlessly flowing onto the fenced-in pool deck. An annex for the family overflow, you live inside and outside at the same time. The resulting design evokes island sensibility with it's natural and beachy elements.
Travertine stone and Italian tile are cool and clean underfoot for the whole of the house, the bedrooms have carpet, with the furnishings, accessories and tray ceilings bringing in the palm effect. The spacious kitchen has granite countertops and a center island with seating which looks out at the pool, plus a separate bartop for company and conversation. The open family room easily accommodates the entire clan with a separate game area for the children, and the dining room to seat six will be the focus of indoor mealtimes.
Then there is the other part of the house-the other living area-all private, of course. A sparkling pool with a fountain, a professional grill and rotisserie, hand-laid pavers, a dining table to seat six and lounge chairs invite poolside relaxation both during the day and on those warm starry nights. Last but not least, an outdoor fireplace to lend a little romance or to take the chill off of an evening. The pool is heated for your enjoyment at no additional cost.
The real draw for all ages, however, remains the unforgettable beach. A short, straight stroll will deliver you to the Island's most pristine shoreline. Joggers, walkers, teens spiking a volleyball, clusters of children crafting sand into impressive fortresses and, at high tide, the folly. A ceaseless tumble of the tides and memories that you will forever hold dear.
