Very highly recommended esp. for its convenient access to public transport (tram 8 to Largo Argentina). The nearby market offers excellent food at good prices, and generally a side of Rome that few visitors will see. Apartment itself is well appointed, comfortable and sound-proof. Air-conditioning proved very effective during a late summer heat-wave. The owner is very considerate and sollicitous. Altogether, a real gem.

Owner response: Dear Grant and Marie-Louise, it is always good to get such a positive feedback and I am really glad that you enjoyed your stay in Rome. All the very best and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Daniela
The apartment was delightful - light, airy, air conditioned and perfectly equipped. The location was great - out of the tourist area but the centre of Rome easily accessible by tram (which runs all night). Local shops and cafes were just what we wanted, low key, helpful and friendly. Daniella was excellent with information answering our questions promptly. We highly recommend it!

Excellent little apartment just right for the 3 of us, Daniela was SO helpful throughout the whole process and very friendly. Lots of amenities close to the apartment, and for those without a car trams, buses and train services into central Rome. Lots of cafes, coffee shops within walking distance. Would definitely recommend to fellow travellers, and would use again.

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay!
This is a lovely flat, in a very nice location, well off the tourist track, but very easy to reach the main attractions of this wonderful city thanks to the very good public transport, particularly the No. 8 tram. The flat is as described, sunny, clean, well supplied, we liked it very much, by the end of 2 weeks we were even managing the 3 flights of stairs with not much effort! The sofa bed was very comfortable (may buy one myself...) and the lower bunk was very firm - ideal for my dodgy back. We had a problem with our mobile network in Italy, but Daniela sorted thing s out for us by e-mail, nothing seemed to be any trouble. We liked the local area, the market was fantastic (my husband wanted to go every morning) the Old Moon for breakfast, tram tickets etc was lovely, La Gianicolense Restauant on the corner was very good indeed. Everyone was very friendly. I would recommend this property to any reasonably fit people.

Owner response: Dear Anna! We had an email exchange and I just would like to let you know again how great was to have you stay in Rome and thank you for choosing my flat. I am so glad to hear that you had a great time and that staying there was more fun than not in the tourists' crowd (at least for shopping and relaxing after a long day out). I wish you and your husband all the best, Kind regards, Daniela

One of the best holidays homes so far!
We have travelled a lot and visited many holidays homes and Daniela's place is one of the best holidays home we have stayed so far. Daniela's place in Monteverde is a perfect spot in Rome, there are great services all around the apartment, and the worm atmosphere of Rome all around us. The apartment is clean, well maintained and Daniela is always helpful and present with any necessity arising during the holidays. We hope, if we come back to this unique city, to find Daniela's apartment available! Thank you so much, Anna & Co!

The perfect home in Rome! The apartment is located at just 2 minutes walk from tram number 8 that took us directly to Trastevere and to the Hystorical Centre of Rome in a few minutes drive also in the night with air conditioning in this hot hot summer! Daniela is a perfect host and has made our stay wonderful. Thank you Daniela. Air conditioning in Rome is a must in the summer and the top floor apartment was a great choice between price and comfort. Not to say that my kids love the raised bed area, the piano and the large tv to watch their DVD's! We did not suffer for the lack of a balcony, windows are very large and we enjoyed the fresh air coming in the night.

Perfect stay in Rome.
Perfect stay in Rome.
The apartment is very clean and full of natural light. The appliances (including a piano, flat 47' HD tv, denon amplifier, bose' alarmclock, ect...) are all working perfectly. Wii fii connection was available as well. The flat is a great value for money. Daniela is a great host and make us very welcome with many useful information. 24 transport link to the very centre of Rome are available and being not a bus bu a very frequent tram we did not have to wait for long (as it happens with other transport as buses in Rome). We will come back

Owner response: Dear Mark, it was a pleasure to have you stay in my apartment in Rome. Many thanks for your fantastic review. I am very proud when I hear that the standard of my property is always high knowing the rental price has never increased since my first listing. All the best wishes to you and your family, Kind regards, Daniela
Apartment is located in a great neighborhood and the people are very friendly. The local food is wonderful and priced very low compared to downtown Rome. Tram and Metro buses are one block away. Good connections to downtown and the train station for traveling outside Rome. Apartment was very clean and well appointed. Be in shape thought, it is three flights up and no lift. Great value!

Owner response: Dear Michael, many thanks for choosing my apartment. I am so glad to hear that you and your wife have become part of my "happy customers" list! It is fantastic to hear that my apartment is a great value and this is why we keep the same price for all year long (without considering holidays periods) and since we started this "adventure" a few years ago. It was great to have you there and to know that you have enjoyed the area (with friendly people, a fantastic fresh food market, the transport system and a chance to enjoy the "real Rome" without being ripped off by far too expensive prices set up for tourist in downtown Rome). I did choose that particular apartment to live there myself for over 10 years for all the reasons you have listed above including the three flights up (that kept me fit (at least a little!) while in Rome having pizza and pasta and ice creams!!). I hope to see you back soon and I wish all the best to you and your family, Kind regards, Daniela
Great place to stay in Rome.
Great place to stay in Rome.
We stayed at this apartment a little over a year ago, but it is something I will never forget! Daniela was very helpful and friendly. Our train pulled into Roma Termini an hour late and, even though she wasn't in town, she did everything she could to ensure we got settled in. The apartment itself was perfectly suited to our group of four. The location was a little off the beaten path, but it was right next to a great local restaurant and a couple of blocks from the tram. The tram can take you to the center of town in about 10 minutes. Overall, great experience. If I ever get to visit Rome again this place will be at the top of my list.

This apartment is perfect for visiting Rome. It was very clean and comfortable. Good access to public transport takes you into the centre of Rome. Daniela gave very good recommendations on places to see, shop and eat in the nearby locality! We found everyone very friendly. We can certainly recommend staying here.

About the owner: Hello! My name is Daniela am Italian (from Trieste) and I have lived there for over 22 years. I love the and I spend sometime there every year. I lived in Rome for over 20 years and I LOVE IT. Rome is a place everyone has to see (at least once!).
Why the Owner Chose Monte Verde:
I choose this home because I lived in the area previously and I did not wanted to give up a few things that are fantastic and unique including being very close to the centre of town without the traffic and the hassle of a big city, the fresh food market around the corner (considered one of the best in Rome), Villa Pamphili at 5/10 minutes walk from home (a very beautiful park, with secular Maritime Pines, a pond and acres of space to play and jog and have a stroll), the great transport services took me in the centre of Rome in 10 minutes and back home also in the night with a tram at 2 minutes walk from home, the swimming pool, the gym, and all shops including one of the best hand made ice cream parlor in Rome at 2 minutes walk from home (tony's), hand made 'pizza al taglio', etc...etc...
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I bought this particular apartment in Monteverde firstly because of the amount of natural light there is in the place, it is amazing! Secondly the apartment is really quite. This was a must for me when I bought it, previously living in a apartment where the car traffic was a nightmare. It is difficult in Rome to be in a central area without hearing the car traffic (unfortunately) Secondly the apartment, even if small, it is a gem...high ceilings make the space expande and you feel great, the beautiful floor gives you the luxury to walk barefoot. I left my piano there to have other people enjoy it. For them who knows a little bit about pianos they will know that Feurich is a very 'noble' German made, full of history and well know for the warm sound.
