Won't Stay Anywhere Else!

Won't Stay Anywhere Else! Lavonne Sewake NorCal Review Submitted December 27, 2011 Date of Stay December 6, 2011 One word to describe our stay in the Paradise Suite. WOW! While the views at the rental are without parallel in Honolulu, the owner takes the whole experience of a vacation rental to another level. We've never had another vacation rental supply us with so many incidental amenities, e.g. toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoos, lotions, sunblock, soaps, body washes, laundry detergent, Kleenex, etc. (too many to list here) The complete kitchen helped reduce our overall expenses. The unit and property were impeccably clean and well-maintained. Everything listed in the photos and descriptions is accurate; but in person, everything is so much more impressive! The owner takes personal pride in the quality of his renters' experiences and in his property. He lives on site, so any possible problems can be very quickly addressed personally by him. The best internet connection in the rental is hardwired broadband. The owner now provides wifi access, but we found the signal weak and opted for the cabled ethernet connection. I'm a Hawai'i local returning for visits with 'ohana. Trips home are often difficult because we miss Hawai'i so much, but don't want to inconvenience our families in their small homes. This rental took away all of our problems and allowed us to spend 2 wonderful weeks focused on family, friends and the holidays. From now on, as long as it is available, we will always stay here! A very big "Mahalo!" to the owner for such an exceptional and incredible experience.

Exceeded our expectations

My wife and I have come to Hawaii several times in the last few years. We have always stayed in Hotels. This last visit we tried renting instead of staying in hotels. This place far exceeded our expectations. Mr. Chen was very nice, helpful, accommodating, and he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The views from this house are outstanding. Most evenings we would take time to sit in the gazebo, go over the day's activities, talk about tomorrow's activities, and take great pictures. When we come back again we hope this wonderful place will be available for us to stay. After staying here, I doubt if we would try to rent any other place. That's how wonderful this place was. Thank you Mr. Chen for making this visit to the islands a memorable one.

WOW!!!! What a place to stay on your first trip to Hawaii, Mr Chen the owner of this FABULOUS home was such a nice host and gentlemen to my wife and SON which jsut couldn't get enough of Mr Chen. Mr Chen took my SON and NIECE fron KANSAS to pick some type of Chinese grapefruit that was delicious, also Mr Chen had al the amenties that we needed to go Scuba diving, Snorkeling, bike riding and even sand toys for the small ones. There are only 3 words to explain Mr Chen (What a Guy) my 7 yearold son told Mr Chen that HE ROCKS and we will se him next year, that is FOR SURE. There is no other place in Honolulu or surrounding area that had a BETTER VIEW of the city at Night and the fireworks on friday from waikiki beach. I RECOMMEND THIS HOME TO ANY ONE THAT WANTS TO JUST RELAX AND JUST HAVE A GREAT TIME IN HAWAII Thank you MR CHEN The Napolitano Family Danny, Kathryn and Nickolas

Our month-long stay in the East Wing greatly exceeded our expectations. We, of course, were totally enamored with the view. It is even more dramatic at night and the early morning hours give the city a different look with the sun in the east. We were able to cook all of our meals with just the rice cooker, roaster oven, microwave and barbeque, which has a side burner for stir-frying or cooking beans, etc. There was a full-size refrigerator. You can see the entire city of Honolulu from Diamond Head to the airport and even the ocean out 20 miles or so. You can even see the city from the very comfortable king-sized bed, which is up three steps from the living room. The quality of the linen and towels is premium, to match the facility. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable sitting areas, even a desk for our computer. The shower is wonderful and there is a jacuzzi tub to further relas. We were able to wash all our clothes in the outside washer/dryer. There was even beach equipment supplied including snorkel gear, boogie boards, an air mattress and even a cooler to take a lunch, filled with ice from the ice machine in the refrigerator. The owner Mr. Chen, was very attentive to us and always anxious to please us and make certain we were comfortable. He gave us an orientation on how to get around Honolulu (complete with map) and could not have been more hospitable. The place is quiet and restful. We felt very private and yet not isolated. We enjoyed taking our meals in the gazebo, while looking down at the city and ocean. On a scale of 1-10 (and we've stayed in many different condos over the years in Honolulu), this was a 10. The landslide in 2006 which closed the road forced us to drive an extra 6 miles up and down the mountain, but that was a small sacrifice to stay in such a wonderful place. When the slide is repaired, be certain to take the long way around to get a feel of the mountain jungle. The one and only negative was having to leave; we couldn't find anything we didn't like. Hopefully, when we return to Honolulu, Mr. Chen will have space available for us to stay at the "compound." If not, we'll still drive up to renew our acquaintence with this gracious and hospitable man. Gene & Eliana Vosberg, Olympia, WA

The place is amazing, and does feel a bit like a home away from home. The Pictures don't do this wonderful getaway justice. The view is phenomanal and the ammenities far better than we hoped. My wife and I can't wait to return. The best thing about our stay was the owners who were helpful and hospitable but not intrusive, we asked them questions about the island and they gave us great advice where to go and what to see. Super people and an incredible vacation place on and an incredible island paradise. Blair Lister, Vancouver, Canada

The stay was great, the location amazing, and Mr. Shang was very nice! He let us borrow snorkel gear and boogie boards which would have been $$$ to rent. Oahu is a great place to stay in Hawaii, it has so much to do that you'll never get bored. We were staying for our Honeymoon and it was very private and romantic. The East wing had an amazing view, we must have took about 500 pictures from there. Tony was very nice and escorted us to the location because we had to take the back road since they were doing construction on the normal road, and although it was a long drive it was beautiful! The next time we're in Oahu we will definitely stay at the Best of Honolulu! Shea

An absolutely gorgeous location with a breath-taking view of the coastline and Honolulu. The apartment was beautifully decorated with every modern convenience. We were treated like 'family' and had a very restful, relaxing vacation. Can't wait to return to this paradise 'getaway.' Annette Shapiro, California

Also many thanks for the warm hospitality of Mr. & Mrs. CHEN who had made our trip the most pleasurable. We would say it was the most enjoyable trip we have ever had.
