Spacious Home Near Nelson Beach/Park in Plymouth Harbor
- Minimum stay:7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Our vacation home is nestled in the center of historic Plymouth. It's a great location because it's just 500 feet from Nelson Recreational Park and Beach. Nelson Recreational Area has a long beach, new 'splash pad' water play area for children, large playground, walking path, boat ramp, paved bike trial, picnic area and seasonal snack bar.
Since we are located in the center of 'America's Hometown', the Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock and harbor area are just a short walk from our home. In the center of town, there are also many shops and restuarants, whale watching and fishing boat tours, visitor's center, Provincetown Ferry, Jenney Grist Mill and other historic sites.
Our home is a spacious, second floor apartment of a two family home with your own private entrance. It has been recently remodeled and has central air conditioning. In addition, it has high speed wifi, a fast large screen pc, two tvs, gaming tv with wii console and a iPhone docking station/radio. It provides our guests with a comfortable and convenient setting to enjoy all that Plymouth has to offer.
The combination of natural beauty, historic sites and many conveniences makes Plymouth a wonderful location for a vacation destination. Of the top 15 things to do in Plymouth, as ranked by TripAdvisor.com, 12 are within walking distance of our home.
Plimoth Plantation (living museum on the Pilgram Colony and Wampanoag Site), the Myles Standish State Forest (13 miles of hiking trails), beautiful beaches and golf courses are all about a 10 minute drive from our home.
The Plymouth Railroad Station, which is a commuter train that services Boston, is less than two miles away from our home and provides free parking. The local bus line can be picked up right outside our home (just give them a wave) and costs $1 for adults and half price for children/seniors for a one way fare. The bus line has stops at the Plymouth Railroad Station, the large malls and various locations in and around downtown Plymouth.
There are many places to go for day trips: Cape Cod is a 30 minute drive, Boston and Providence are about an hour drive. We have tour books, maps and guest information to help you decide what to do in and around Plymouth. We would be happy to assist you with your vacation planning needs.

I wanted to write and say thank you for a wonderful vacation home this week. Everything was so comfortable, clean & convenient; we really enjoyed staying in your apartment and your in-laws were very kind and welcoming. Had the best time at Nelson park beach yesterday and at the restaurants on the Plymouth waterfront, etc.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I spent a wonderful stay in historic Plymouth. The apartment was so clean and comfortable. It has a very cheerful décor with nice furnishings and brand new appliances (including the new dishwasher). It is in easy walking distance to the nearby ocean park. We enjoyed the fine local restaurants, particularly those on the waterfront. The historical sites were worth the trip. We strongly recommend this home away to others.Owner response: Thank you!

My wife and I rented this apartment just for the two of us. We initially considered staying at a hotel but we chose this home because it cost us less than staying at a hotel. The home was nice and comfortable, spacious and immaculate. The location was really good for us because it was close to shops, antique stores and restaurants. We also took day trips to Boston, Cape Cod, and King Richard's Faire (New England's largest Renaissance Festival about 15 minutes away). We've never rented a vacation home before and we found the reservation process to be really easy. George and Joan, Yara's retired in-laws, live in the first floor apartment and were sweet and very helpful . We're looking forward to coming back to Plymouth and renting this home again. We highly recommend it.Owner response: Thank you!

The apartment is really welcoming, comfortable and super clean. It was perfect for a our vacation! Our children loved the splash pad, playground and beach at Nelson Park. We saw a bunch of historic sites in Plymouth and also went to Long Beach and the Wrentham Mall (with 170 outlet stores). We vacationed during a really hot week so having central air conditioning was nice. Yara provided some goodies for the kids when we arrived and let us use her laundry detergent during our stay…which were nice touches. The kids liked the wii system with the big tvs and we all liked the fast computer and internet. The home had new, high end appliances (washer, dryer, convection oven and fridge) which were really nice. We loved the home and are going to vacation here again and highly recommend it.Owner response: Thank you :)

We were touring the east coast and chose this accommodation for weeks rest as we didn't want to deal with cape traffic. It is only a short walk to the beach but though we used it, it is like many beaches here , comprised of shingle rather than sand and water shoes are recommended. On the plus side, there is plenty of grass to lie on where you can easily watch bathing children and a gradual slope makes it ideal for youngsters. There are other beaches 20 mins away if you have a car. It takes about 10mins to walk into town. There are lovely restaurants and tourist shops and for an upmarket McDonald's don't miss Lobster hut. The appartment itself is scrupulously clean and very comfortable. Although the kitchen is a little dated every room has been recently redecorated. Everything you could wish for is there and more besides. There was plenty of space for our family of five, very welcome after living in hotels. To say that the owner Yara went out of her way to help us is an understatement. We come from Scotland and as this was the first season for the owners, payment etc took a little working out. Yara called us at home, contacted us through e-mail and was extremely accommodating. She also researched a few things for us, kindly provided a few snacks and drinks when we arrived and much to my children's delight supplied sparklers for July 4th! We were fortunate to meet Yara when we were there and all I can say is a huge thank you to her, and her in-laws George and Joan. If you are looking at appartments in Plymouth I cannot recommend this one highly enoughOwner response: I'm so glad that you had a wonderful vacation. Thank you for working with me to establish a good international payment process and I really appreciate your review! It was a pleasure to meet you and your family :) Information for future guests: Nelson Beach is comprised of "shingle", which is a combination of pebbles, small rocks, sand and some shells. The closest sandy beaches with dunes are Duxbury Beach and Plymouth Long Beach.

We've never been to Plymouth before and were very impressed with both the home and the fabulous location. The home is in pristine condition and was truly a home away from home. It took us just a couple of steps to get to the beach and it was just a few minutes to walk to shops, restaurants and historical sites. We stayed in Plymouth the entire time because there were so many things to see and do. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many great restaurants, bars and shops, particulary in the off season. Yara was very helpful and we look forward to coming back and renting from Yara again. We highly recommend this vacation home and Plymouth!Owner response: Thank you :)

About the owner: This is a photo of my family of my family volunteering at the 'Life is Good' Music Festival which is a fundraiser for charity that's outside of Boston. From left to right is Yara, Alex (16), Joe and Niko (17). We live in Connecticut and purchased this two family home as an investment because we ultimately want retire in Plymouth because of the quality of life and the abundance of things to do. We initially were going to rent both apartments but my husband's parents (Joan and George) loved the area so much, they moved into the first floor apartment. We look forward to sharing our home with you so that you can enjoy Plymouth too :)
