Fantastic Time in Kauai

We spent 9 days in early November and had a great time. The web-site pictures really do reflect how nice this condo is. It was very spacious for us (4 people) and sitting out on the lanai (deck that stretches around the south and west end of the property) was perhaps the most relaxing time during a very relaxing vacation. From the deck we saw whales, dolphins (once) and many, many turtles. The Hyatt is a 10 minute walk along the coast line and great for an early morning coffee on The Terrace. Lisa - the property manager - was very helpful and available. She showed us around the condo when we got there and we were impressed with all the supplies that are there; boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. The property was quite clean; centrally located; the view was 180+ degrees along the coastline with gorgeous sunset views. When I return to Kauai I will without a doubt be hoping to return to this property.

Dear Brad and Ashli and Lisa, Sadly, we're back home. But we had a wonderful time and are still retaining a glow. Your place is perfect beyond description, and the welcome we received from Lisa, along with the thoughtful touches such as some tasty food items and the roses in the bedroom, only added to the joy of it. What a view; what a comfortable home. Added to our pleasure was the fact that our son and his fiance were there, and they loved it as much as we did. Our daughter-in-law to be had never been to Hawaii, so it was vicarious enjoyment for us to see her lap it up. I gather from Lisa that we may be the only guests who failed to see dolphins. I guess that means we have to return to try again sometime. There were daily turtles, and on an excursion up north to Tunnels beach we saw a lug of a Monk seal sunning himself, so we weren't entirely shut out. Anyhow, just a note to say how much we loved our stay, and that we hope to return to it sometime in the future. Maybe during whale season... Sid S

This condo is outstanding and I will explain why. With most other condos, even in the same area, you have to leave the condo to really get the full value of Po'ipu. But not with this place. You are experiencing the awesome beauty of the south shore of Kaua'i around the clock. Considering that you probably spend 8-10 hours a day in your condo that's a big plus. We saw more sea creatures (whales, dolphins, turtles, etc.) on this trip than ever before simply because of the sheer volume of time we could spend watching the ocean. Maybe this place is more expensive, but if it is at all affordable for you, your return is exponential. Don't think about the price - think about the value. (After this review the owner will probably raise my rate!) Anyway, the condo is spacious and very well stocked. The disposable tableware was a welcome feature. Who wants to do dishes on vacation? (Yes, they have normal tableware too). The electronic gadgets are awesome as well. Who finds a playstation in their condo? The kids were ecstatic. Plenty of beach stuff meant we didn't have to buy as much. Almost everything you need to get started, other than food, is provided. The condo manager was accessible and helpful when things needed attention. We were well cared for. Regardless of how long you plan to stay this condo will increase your overall enjoyment and value in ways that are difficult to imagine until you experience it.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this amazing condo with our 18 and 21year-old sons. Lisa greeted us with warmth and pointed out everything we would need during our stay... This place was amazing... every need was fulfilled.. Beach towels and chairs, a cooler, tripod for the camera, computer, every kitchen item -- the list is endless. The direct oceanfront location is to die for; we have lots of photos taken from the lanai trying to capture the perfect wave splash and sunset... Falling asleep to that sound was a truly great life experience. Poipu Beach Park (which has a great wave area for kids and dad), so many restaurants (Keoki's Paradise and Brennecke's were particular favorites) and Seasport Divers was an excellent choice for dad and the boys to go Scuba Diving.... We can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to deal with the owners. Lisa went above and beyond by making reservations for us and helping us with everything. We were able to call and text her throughout the week and she was able to help us with all of our needs. My wife searched extensively for the right place and the biggest bang for our buck, and we found this condo to be beyond what we had hoped for, the perfect retreat. We have recommended this place to all of our family and friends. We will return to the island and we will stay here again.......

20th Anniversary return trip to Kauai

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at this amazing condo with our 5-year-old daughter. Lisa greeted us with warmth and pointed out everything we would need during our stay...never have we seen a place that caters to your every need! Beach towels, goggles, toys, sunscreen, blow dryer, computer, every kitchen item--the list is endless. The direct oceanfront location is to die for; we have lots of photos taken from the lanai trying to capture the perfect wave splash, and falling asleep to that sound was a truly great life experience. Poipu Beach Park (which as a great shallow area for kids), so many restaurants (Keoki's Paradise and Brennecke's were particular favorites) and running/hiking trails are all readily accessible. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to deal with the owners and Lisa, who went above and beyond by promptly shipping power cords I forgot in a bottom drawer to me after our stay. We searched extensively for the right place and the biggest bang for our buck, and we found this condo to be beyond what we had hoped for, the perfect retreat. We'll be back.

Our stay in your condo on Kauai was fabulous! Absolutely perfect for our family with two adults and two teenage boys. We had a fun and warm lei greeting from Lisa, followed by 10 days of fun in a wonderful setting complete with daily sitings of whales, turtles and dolphins from the lanai.The condo was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Kauai was absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to come back!

The condo was extraordinary. Rarely do pictures match the facilities on most web sites. This condo exceeds the impressions portrayed in the website. The location was great,beaches close by, and activities abundant. We really appreciated Lisa the caretaker of the property. The place was so well equipped(beach chairs,boogie boards,beach towels,cooking staples,etc.I would recommend this place over any hotel in Kauai!

Brad & Ashli, Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful oceanfront condo. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a much needed vacation before we have our little one. It's a perfect place to stay for R&R...we were welcomed & greeted by Lisa & her daughter. The views were awesome from all windows of the condo. It is a perfectly organized well stocked home. It had EVERYTHING from snorkel gear, beach chairs, sunblock, to bandaids and lotions. The only thing we really needed to pack were our clothes. Hope we can come back with our son. THANKS AGAIN!

Brad and Ashli- Mahalo for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise with our family. Our eleven days there were truly heavenly. We did as much as we could-NaPali coast snorkel trip, luau, helicopter, ziplines-and had a blast, but it was always great to come back to the condo, sit out on the lanai, and watch the waves crash over the rocks. We loved the private "blow hole" right there, as well. The sunsets were magnificent, the ocean spectacular, the turtles numerous, and the ambiance incomparable. 40ft lanai overlooking crashing waves, sea turtles and incredible ocean views. Spent a week in Sept 09. this place is a home away from home and after 11 visits to Kauai this is our favorite. You don't have to bring beach towels, snorkel gear, hair dryer, beach chairs or beach umbrella - they have it all for you to use, even an umbrella in case you get caught in the rain . Ipod docks -3 of them- CD player big flat screen TV's - every comfort of home. Well stocked kitchen too. Property manager Lisa is available 24 hours should anything go wrong but nothing did. Can't say enough about it. We were so comfortable here - it was hard to leave.

Our stay at Luxury Poipu was the dream vacation of a lifetime! From the moment we arrived (with beautiful Lisa greeting us with leis, a gift bag, and tour of our stunning condo) until the day we departed (11 days later), we experienced unbelievable weather, incredible sunrises and sunsets from our private lanai, endless fun-filled activities (boat to Napali Coast and TWO separate pods of spinner dolphins, Zip Line...WOW!, luau at the Sheraton, helicopter tour of the island, terrific snorkeling, incredible dining, especially at the Beach House!, just to name a few. This was our first visit to Kauai and, I must confess, it is my favorite of all the islands! Thank you, Brad and Ashley and Lisa! My Husband, Son and Mother stayed at this property for a week during the month of July. We live in Florida so I was worried that having no AC would be problem. The strong tradewinds created a wind tunnel through the property, we were surprised with how cool it was. Leaving the door open at night we could hear the waves crashing below the porch. Everyday we saw turtles blow the porch amidst the crashing waves. The place was furnished tastefully with lots of room throughout. The master shower you hold a party. I wish I had one in my home. Outside property was kept immaculate with many flowers and trees around. The sunset on our porch every night. Fabulous stay. I highly recommend this property.

Brad and Ashli, Thank you for allowing Teresa and I to stay at your incredible condo. Luxury Poipu was the main ingredient to the most memorable vacation we have ever taken. Everything we needed was at the condo, the views were incredible, and the location was the best on the Island in our opinion. The sunsets on the lanai are priceless and nothing was more relaxing then sitting in a lounge chair sipping a glass of wine, the cool ocean breeze blowing, and watching the colorful sun fade on the horizon. All we can say is "Incredible". We plan on coming back and will definitely recommend Luxury Poipu to everyone heading that way. We were amazed at the beautiful view and home-like comfort of the condo. One can lie in bed looking out for whales or listening to the crashing waves at night. We did not even want to dine out - as not to miss the sunset from the lanai. Definitely recommended!

This property was exactly as advertised in the website - first class all the way, great location, great views and very relaxing atmosphere. It was most helpful to have the house manager Lisa be there to welcome you to Kauai and to also to walk you through the condo and answer any questions that you may have. We prefer to rent a house or condo when vacationing and would definitely come back here the next time we vacation in Kauai.

Starting with the warmest of warm welcomes,this place was everything we had hoped for. It was positioned over the water in such a way that it felt as if we were on a luxury yacht. Glorious views; a great and expansive lanai for reading and whale-watching; the Hawaiian sunsets! The attention to detail in this gigantic unit was remarkable. Robes, games, even bandaids. . .the manager truly sees everything from the guest's point of view. We loved it!

Words do not adequately describe the setting of this beautiful condo. The view and the sound of the ocean is always comforting and relaxing. Watching for the whales, turtles, and dolphins makes you slow down and enjoy the world around you. The pictures of the condo are an introduction to the luxuriousness of the home, but until you step in the front door you really cannot appreciate all the beauty and ammenities. We were there for two weeks at Christmas and I was thinking I would miss Christmas decorations, but Lisa had very tasteful reminders of the holidays which I dearly loved. Lisa and Steve are fantastic and really made the stay comfortable...answering all questions and attending to all needs. You will never find a place with more ammenities be it for infants, small children, teenagers, young adults, or in betweens to retirees. Ashli, Brad, Lisa, and Steve have thought of everything. Do take walks to explore the area, see the Canyon, visit all the different beaches, play lots of golf (ask about the courses where the locals play) and tennis, and for a dining experience with a beautiful sunset visit the Beach House, or dine at Roys for outstanding food and service, and don't forget to get a Puka dog. Costco in Lihue is very conventiently located, but also visit the general store, Sueoka, in Koloa, Do get out and see and do things even though it is hard to leave the huge deck of the condo with the breathtaking views and great sunning. Our family stayed at Luxury Poipu May 2-8, 2008 and we couldn't have been happier or more comfortable during our stay. Not only did we arrive to all the comforts of home, the personal greeting from Lisa was so appreciated after a long day of travel with our toddler. The condo was beautifully appointed and view spectacular. Everything we needed was provided - we even packed a "floatie" for the pool that we didn't need as there was already one there. They've really thought of everything. Memories of the amazing sunsets and drifting to sleep to the sound of crashing waves will remain in our hearts for years to come. We hope to return when our toddler is a little older and would definitely return to Luxury Poipu.

This was the second year for us to stay in what we feel is our second home on Poipu. Lisa made us feel so welcome and we had zero issues for the eight days. While the complex is a little dated your unit is very nice and everything worked well. We are a family that rarely returns to the same location but your excellent unit fits our family of four so well we were compelled to come back. Luxury Poipu rocks!

My wife & I have been to Kauai for the last 5 years, always staying on the North Shore. This year we decided to spend time at the Southern end. In staying at this wonderful place, life could not get any better. You feel that you are on a cruise ship looking our over the ocean. Its that close. You could sit on the lanai all day and watch the waves, turtles, dolphins & whales. The property was the best we could have found. There is a pool right outside your doorstep and if you don't mind little kids screaming it was great. Restaurants were good, you're near Lihue for Costco for groceries and the beaches are great along with golf. If you go you will not be disappointed. The home is loaded with everything you could possibly need and the service manager, Lisa was the best. Don't wait , book now! Steve b

We stayed at Luxury Poipu from Feb 5 thru Feb 11 2008. It was everything we had anticipated from the pictures we saw on the web. The unit was great; our view from the lanai has to be one of the best in Kauai. The sunsets from the lanai were magnificent,plus whales were visible from sunrise to sunset. The complex was clean and well maintained. Our compliments to the owners, we would definitely stay here again.

We loved Luxury Poipu! We have been to Kauai several times and this by far is the best place to stay. The condo is comfortable, spacious and has all of the amenities of home. The beds were so comfortable and cozy. The view is ourstanding. Everyday we say honu (turtles) and whales. The weather was very warm and humid our first week but turned very pleasant the second week. We did lots of activities, Zipline, Kayaking, ATVing, Deep Sea Fishing and the NaPali Catamaran Cruise. All were fun and exciting. We were a group of 14 so when meal time came around the condo and all of it room came in handy. We look forward to returning to Luxury Poipu and Kauai.

We just returned from Kauai and stayed at Luxury Poipu. We ran into some really crazy weather, lots of rain and wind, but since we had a gorgeous place to stay, the weather didn't bother us all that much. The lanai is the best feature. Our daughter loved running around on it and we sunbathed, saw dolphins, sunsets, and I got a massage out there. What a great setting and so very relaxing. It's like you are the only people staying in the entire complex. Very private and the view is fantastic.

Brad and Ashli, What can I say but thank you, thank you and thank you!! You have an awesome place. Brad when I first talked to you many months ago about staying at your condo, you happened to be on the island working there. You sounded so enthusiastic and happy to be there. The minute I walked into the condo I felt at home and could understand why you sounded as you did during our phone conversation. And Lisa made us feel like she was giving us a tour of our home! . I guess I am gushing, and maybe you hear it all the time, but I can't say enough about how wonderfully relaxing, as well as beautiful your place is. I know you named it "luxury poipu", but I think it's better called "poipu home". I got up every morning, got the coffee going, watched the sun come up and just enjoyed!! I could go on, but I will spare you. Again thank you both so much for making this wonderful place available.

10/16/07 to 10/23/07 We were very lucky to find LuxuryPoipu. I had never cried before whenever leaving somewhere to return home. That changed when we came to Kauai and this beatiful home on the ocean. We did not want to leave! If not for our animals waiting for us at home we probably would have stayed. Lisa welcomed us with leis and was very informative and just so incredibly friendly and kind. Our first experience with Puka Dog (must go there) was with Lisa and we are certainly grateful to her for that! The tandem massages on the lanai are a must do. Drifting off to peaceful sleep with the ocean lapping at the rocks is without compare. Of course the sea turtles who seemed to make a home off the rocks were always an incredible sight to wake up to along with the dolphins. Everything and more was provided to us for use by the owners of Luxury Poipu for an unforgettable stay including beach chairs/mats, snorkeling gear, beach towels, cooler, binoculars. Just such an amazing and incredible experience I am certain would not have been the same if we had stayed at a resort or anywhere else on the island for that matter. We definitely will be returning to LuxuryPoipu. Until then we will have to play the CD that was playing upon our arrival at LuxuryPoipu (which we never turned off), sit by our pool, close our eyes and dream of our incomparable time on Kauai and at LuxuryPoipu. It is the attention to detail - the comprehensive supply of thoughtful things - which makes staying at Luxury Poipu more convenient than even being at home, while its location - both in relation to the ocean, island activities and restaurants - makes it a vacation. I rented Luxury Poipu for one month from Aug. 2 - Sep. 2, 2007 and had various friends and family come and go throughout the month. The waves breaking on the black rock cliffs off the lanai were mesmerizing. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The condo is very spacious and there is good separation of the two bedrooms. The electronic equipment (Flat screen TV's, DVD,s, stereo, iPod radios, Xbox, computer equipment, etc.)was excellent and the grandkids especiallly enjoyed the Xbox. Our experience at this property was just wonderful. The unit was clean, spacious and just beautiful. We would really enjoy going back to Kauai and making Luxury Poipu the place to stay. The property manager Lisa is truly an asset to the property. She made the experience delightful. We would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to stay in a true PARADISE.

Staying at Luxury Poipu was a wonderful experience. From the beginnig, we were given a very warm welcome from beautiful Lisa who answered all our questions and made us feel right at home. The unit itself is fabulous with an open floor plan that is perfect for families. The views from the unit are breathtaking! We enjoyed the pool and spa that we could see from our front door. The beds were all extremely comfortable with quality linens and pillows. The unit is very well stocked with all the comforts of home and more. We look forward to returning as soon as possible. Simply a wonderful place along the shore in Poipu. Ocean is right below with the sounds and wonderful views available all day long. A beautiful residence, with many amenities, and a pool outside the door. Having lived on Kauai, i can say the available properties with the ocean very close, are very few. This one is just perfect. Lisa, the manager is just a lovely host. Mahalo, and and we will do it again! tad and debbie

Luxury Poipu is absolutely wonderful! The unit is very large & luxurious with the waves crashing right outside by the deck. Every possible ammenity is included in this "Home by the Sea". My husband & I had a fantastic week there & we will return soon. We live by the Sea on the Monterey, CA Bay & Kauai & Luxury Poipu are every bit as lovely. Karen Calandra

Of all the places we have stayed in the Hawaiian islands in the past 20 years, Luxury Poipu was the first that really satisfied my husband's wish to hear the ocean every night. Quiet and private yet close to the South Shore amenities, this beautiful and spacious unit provided stunning views of whales and sunsets. The perfect spot!

Just returned from a fantastic week at this waterfront condo. The water views when entering can only be beat on a cruise ship! Quality materials, great linens, flat panel TVs, etc make this so much more comfortable than a hotel. The property manager, Lisa, was helpful and very friendly. We'll be back to this property.

Lovely property with mesmerizing views. Very private on 2nd floor so view is unobstructed. Huge wraparound patio with space for all. Whales, turtles are right there as well as incredible sunsets. Our family of 6 had plenty of room. We felt as though it was a private home. Walking distance to the Hyatt (Shipwrecks) and Poipu/Brennekes. Great for early morning beach/cliff walks. Very accommodating landlord/manager. We will definitely go back.

Our stay at Luxury Poipu was unbelievable. This condo is a dream come true. The feeling of relaxation and contentment that I experienced is something I have never felt at a hotel. I loved having the best sunset view and also being within walking distance to beautiful beaches and fabulous restaurants. This really was a dream vacation. Our stay at the Luxury Poipu Condo was absolutely fabulous. It is the "presidential Suite" of Condos in the complex, with stunning views of the surf, greenery and sunsets.You can stay in this huge home of your own here, instead of paying the same for a hotel room down the street. Having your "own" home in such a spectacular setting for a week is hard to beat. Walking distance to two great beaches and several restaurants and bars, the location could not be more perfect. Would rent this property again without a doubt.

We stayed at this property for a week in October, and absolutely loved it. This Condo is very spacious, and is with out a doubt the best property in the complex. The views out of the big windows thru out the home are stunning. All one could possibly want during a vacation on Kauai is with in walking distance. Two great beaches, several great restaurants and bars and all the sunset and sea views you thought only existed on postcards. While staying here, you can feel like you own one of the most comfortable and beautiful homes on the island. We would definetly rent again!
