Waikoloa Colony Villas is perfectly situated on the 15th green of the Beach Course, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design, in the Waikoloa Colony Villas, which is a private, gated community of luxury townhomes on the South Kohala Coast, within the world-renowned Waikoloa Beach Resort. The townhome, which actually feels more like a house, is also walking distance from the Kings Course, a Tom Weiskopf design. The Waikoloa Beach Resort is just 18 miles north of the Kona Airport and is also home to the oceanfront Hilton Waikoloa and Waikoloa Marriott Resorts.
The air-conditioned villa provides two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, totaling nearly 1500 square feet plus two large lanais, as well as a one-car attached garage. It is decorated with elegant, new in 2006, upscale furnishings with a calming tropical ambiance. Soft, custom paint tones warm the rooms, and the accent walls punctuate the luxury furnishings. It has the privacy and feel of an upscale individual home with all new furnishings, slab granite counters, air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect in a luxury town home. This impeccably maintained, non-smoking villa is our second home and we have taken great care to provide upscale accommodations and superb amenities for our guests. The kitchen is equipped with all dishes, cookware, glassware, utensils, serving dishes and everything one would expect in a luxury kitchen.
The well-appointed kitchen has beautiful maple cabinetry and granite countertops. Seventeen-foot vaulted ceilings in the living room area provide an open, island, and airy feeling. The master bedroom on the second floor provides a king-size bed, private bath with dual sinks, tub, stand up shower, closet, and large lanai, while the second bedroom on the main floor provides two twin beds, which can be converted into a king-size bed, and an adjacent bath with tub and shower.
Your villa comes with three flat screen televisions, the one in the living room is a 42 inch, with two High Definition capable DVD players. Wireless Internet is included, for those who cannot or will not get completely away from the real world while in the islands. Imagine checking your e-mail from the furnished lanai, overlooking the 15th green, waiting for your tee time.
The complex offers ample guest parking, two pools with lava rock waterfalls and one with a wading areas, for the real little ones, Jacuzzi, tennis courts, and exercise room. The main pool and air conditioned exercise room are just two buildings away from your villa, providing the perfect blend of convenience and privacy, which is close, but not too close! Your villa and it's amenities exude quality and comfort. This strictly non-smoking unit feels neat, clean and homey.
Your vacation villa is perfect for families or couples vacationing together. Additional guests can sleep comfortably on the convertible queen-size sofa. Golfers will enjoy the two golf courses are available at the Waikoloa Beach Resort, the Beach Course and the King's Course, as well as several other world-class golf courses within 15 minutes of your villa including the Mauna Lani course, host of many past Senior Skins Games with it's signature over-the-water 15th hole, the Mauna Kea, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course, and Hapuna Beach designed by Arnold Palmer.
A ten-minute walk from your villa, the Kings' Shops offer unique shopping in art galleries, gift stores, and gourmet restaurants such as Roy's Bar and Grill and Big Island Steak House. All this overlooking the lake, where they offer hula performances and live Hawaiian music, as well as Tuesday night movies under the stars.
Also, with a ten-minute walk, you could be at Waikoloa Beach or "A" Bay, a perfect crescent shaped white sand beach that offers snorkeling, windsurfing, and kayaking, sunset and whale watching tours, or you can simply relax under the shade of a palm tree and watch the catamarans sail by. Just a few minutes drive north brings you to the world famous Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach, and several others to explore. Hapuna is great for boogie boarding. There are several shops and restaurants at the Kings Shops, as well as great food at the Kings Grill. A few miles north are a great local fish market, farmers market, restaurants, shops and more. Blue Island Helicopters, 7 world-class golf courses, diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing are all nearby.
Ten-minutes walking the other direction takes you to the Waikoloa Hilton Beach Resort, you can swim with the dolphins at the world-famous Dolphin Quest, our kids love it! Camp Menehune at the Hilton offers non-Hilton guests, but is subject to availability, activities for children five and older, so you can have a day to yourself to plan an adventure or just relax. Take advantage of the resort spa's located at the Hilton and Marriott.
Join the runners in the morning for a 3 mile loop around the resort on wide shouldered roads, or take off up the Kohola Coast for a bike ride or run like the Ironmen or Iron-women.
