Hi Shirlene, We had a wonderful stay in your condo. The location was serene and had everything that we needed. Thank you. I hate to mention anything negative, but think that you would probably want to know. The dishwasher is not working and was filled with dirty dishes and a lot of the dishes that were put away needed to be washed again. It was no big deal, as we just washed everything before we used it. I feel bad giving you that feedback, but thought that I should. Other than that, we absolutely loved our stay! hi shirlene our stay inn maui at your condo was good. the location in wailea is perfect. close to everything. the grounds at ekolu village are maintained beautifully. 1403 is located perfectly to access the pool, no condo is closer to pool deck than 1403, the condo was certainly big enough for the 2 of us and we have some very good memories thanks to the atmosphere of the ekolu village. sunsets are the best we have ever seen and they are right outside the covered lanai.beach chairs and boogie boards are provided and stayed in the trunk of the rental for beach use. inside the condo requires some minor attention. the dishwasher does'nt really clean that well. hand washing had to be done several times to dishes taken from dishwasher after run through the cycle. all in all good value for such a beautiful place like maui. thanks again for providing us with a good place to stay while on our bucket list trip

upon arrival at a vacation house i expect a source for an ipod for music as well as more than the local cable tv channels. there is no tv in the bedroom either for morning news/weather reports. is there anyone that travels with CD's to play in a DVD player anymore? in addition to this disappointment, we had to dry ourselves off with towels that smelled like mold. the policy of putting laundry into the washer and such must not be a very good one if someone is not retrieving the laundry quick enough, as the towels are moldy. plus, after paying for rental, cleaning fees and taxes, must i really do my own towels and sheets? i will not be recommending any of these properties owned by this company/person, and we travel to wailea often.

Owner response:What a shame that these people would complain when they only stayed for a last minute 2 days during high season. My cleaning lady did her best to work this reservation into her busy schedule. Unfortunately this guest forgot to mention that the bed was made, the condo was clean and they had 100 tv channels to choose from. Guess I can't please them all.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Wailea over the holidays and really enjoyed the peaceful condo. The condo is well situated and fully stocked, nothing was overlooked. It's a short, wonderful walk to the Shops at Wailea and in close proximity to everything you'll need. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning was a nice break from the afternoon heat. We would recommend this unit whole heartedly and hope to make it back soon!

Very relaxing area, condo was well equipped with all extras including beach towels, beach chairs, etc. Loved this area of Maui. Close to great restaurants, beaches. Swimming pool just steps away. Beautiful area and condo lovely as well.

This place was absolutely what the Dr. ordered. Very quiet, relaxing, pool outside the lanai and the ammenities of the condo were 1st class. The Decor and furnishings were very inviting to an island paradise. The bed was very comfortable. Beautiful walk to the shops, restaurants, resorts and beach. You didn't have to worry about a thing the owner has a 3" binder with restaurant menus, places to see, activities to do, it was like your very own concierge on site. If there was one disappointment it was we wish we could stay longer!

We had a wonderful time at your condo in May. The condo was just as the photos show, very clean and well maintained. We loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and every day we swam in the pool we had it all to ourselves. Since this was our second trip to Maui we didn't do a lot of tourist trips, we just spent time on the fabulous beaches nearby and snorkeled as much as we could. I hope we can go back again soon and would definitely recommend this condo to friends and relatives.

We stayed here in March of 2011. The apartment was immaculate and in a wonderful, quiet development. We barely encountered anyone, and when we did they were always very warm and friendly. The back yard slopes directly down to the pool, which we often had all to ourselves. The patio was a great place to relax with lunch and observe the funny little black and yellow birds that were all over the island. When we ran into one tiny little snag, Shirlene was very responsive and sent over her wonderful housekeeper (very sweet!) to handle it for us. We had a wonderful stay in this home, and would absolutely go back! Added plus: it has laundry!!!!!!

this vacation was amazing and mostly due to the incredible accomodations at maui. the condo was beautifully appointed and had every comfort of home and then some like the stunning view the clean floral smells and the generalvibe of maui plus the LOCATION! a walk to the beach a walk to the shops and restaurants at wailea and just amazing! The kitchen and bathroom and laundry in our villa/ condo were all brand new and gorgeous and in perfect working order. I would love to go back and I recommend this to anyone

Very convenient nice condominium

My wife and I stayed for one week at this lovely condominium. It is very quiet secluded and private. Due to its location, it is important to have access to transportation. We rented a car for the week from the local enterprise rental office which was much cheaper than at the airport. Transportation after the flight was through executive transport to the rental office located in one of the luxury hotels on the coast just below this condominium. At the end of our stay we dropped the car at the airport for an extra $50. Wailea is an exclusive area with lots of nice restaurants, but they are expensive. We preferred to drive a few minutes north to Kihei. We found a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant directly across from the post office and Stella blue was great for breakfast when we did not eat at the condominium. The pool directly below us was a perfect location and the beaches of course are beautiful but you must drive to them.

We've rented many condo's in Hawaii and this one was by far the best. Top quality furniture, decor in #1403 with everything you need from a cork screw to beach gear. The grounds and pool are perfectly maintained at Ekolu Village. We will be back for sure.

What a great place to stay! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful condo. The pool is literally 20 steps out the back door. Everything helped in making our trip more relaxing. We especially appreciated the book Shirlene has for tips on where to eat and what to do. Our favorite was Maui Tacos. This trip will always hold special meaning for us because we were able to celebrate our fifth anniversary there. We hope to be able to spend other anniversaries the same way. Please do not hesitate staying at this property! It is decorated beautifully, it is comfortable and it is immaculate. The area is upscale, a fabulous beach walk is just minutes away and a sunset awaits from the grassy knoll of the Ekolu grounds. If your going to Maui stay here. You'll love it

For our vacation to Maui I specifically wanted to stay at an upscale condo that was affordable also. That is exactly what we got. We had the most memorable and relaxing vacation staying at your condo. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your condo. It was immaculate and so comfortable. Cooking was easy as everything we needed was right there. It was treat to eat on the lanai while watching the sun set. The birds quietly arrive for their breakfast and it was great watching them feast. When we arrived at this condo for a two week stay this August my wife and I were very pleased with what we first saw. There was ample space for the 3 of us who stayed here. Our stay at Ekolu Village was first rate. The condo was beautiful and perfectly sized for two to four people. Shirlene & Phil, Thanks for the ultra-amazing stay we had at your gorgeous condo! We loved every minute of it and the whole family gasped and had our mouths wide open as soon as we opened the front door. We felt right at home and being our first time in a condo during vacation, it is almost impossible to stay in a hotel ever again! Especially in a beautiful place like Maui! Everything we needed was at our fingertips and the sand toys, noodles & boogie board were a hit with the kids. The location was in a perfect spot just minutes away from Kihei and the beaches in Wailea/Makena were the best in the island. The ground are fully adorned with tropical flowers and are well manicured. The pool was so conveniently located steps from the lanai and it was never crowded. The kids miss feeding the birds. They were so eager to wake up early and do it every morning! Thank you for the wonderful aloha welcome w/ the special treats you left for us. Wow, this condo & loc were perfect! Very thoughtful, hospitable owners, absolutely beautiful decor & every amenity. This was a very special vacation for my family enhanced by the comfort and beauty of Shirlene and Phil's condo. The layout is wonderful and we especially appreciated the well stocked pantry as we all like to cook. Just having the basics on hand (spices, condiments, paper goods, etc) was so nice. We loved how immaculate the condo and the entire facility was, and also how quiet. We were a family of 4, and I have to say that although this is a one bedroom unit, we were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants peace, quiet, comfort, and beauty. After a day of exploring, touring, surfing, and beaching, it was so nice to come back to this special space and relax and reflect on the day's adventure out on the lanai.

This is a lovely condo with just about all the amenities you could ask for. The location is quiet and easily accessible to the beaches on the south side of the island. The pool is just steps off the lanai which features a view of the ocean through a few palm trees - great for sunsets and lightning shows. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, and has all modern amenities. The bed is very comfortable - nice balance between soft and firm. The layout is ideal for one person or a couple and the second bath is a nice feature for two people. For folks who aren't interested in the larger resorts and who enjoy doing their own cooking, this place is ideal. It was nice to come to Maui (for the first time) and immediately feel comfortable in my accommodations. An added benefit is the owners who live locally and are wonderful people to deal with.

What a wonderful place to stay! Both of us have been to Hawaii and specifically Maui several times before. This condo is decorated fabulously and comes with boogie boards, beach towels, and loads of informational items. I had just recently purchased a new camera and the locals (birds) just off the lanai made for great practice shots. The location of this property is superb. I don't normally post information on the web but this place was worth commenting on as well as worth the price to stay at.

We spent 10 days as our honeymoon in Maui and having not been to Maui before were a little unsure where to stay on the island. Having travelled all over the island, this is THE place to be. We were fortunate enough to find this condo on the internet after looking at what seemed endless condo's stuck in the 70's. I cannot say enough great things about Shirlene and Phil's condo. These people are just great to deal with and have gone to great lenghts to ensure everything you need is in the condo. The decor is very tasteful and modern and Shirlene has done a fabulous job decorating a very comfortable home away from home. Parking is right out the front door, the Waliea beach is mabye a four minute drive and the pool is located 50 feet off the back deck where you can see great sunsets and gentle waves on the ocean. We spent several evening's BBQ'ing Ahi steaks and drinking cold Heineken while watching the sun set. This place is fabulous and you will not be dissapointed. We had the best time in Wailea. The Condo was absolutely beautiful and we felt so at home. Other than the wonderful scenery and the beautiful chirping birds outside our window every morning it was just like home. Our Son now calls it his vacation home. :-) so it looks like we will be coming back! Soon I hope! Shirlene and Phil were very helpful, and our vacation at this condo was nothing less than perfect.

Cool ocean breezes, warm blue tranquil waters and the scent of Plumeria and pineapple waft in the air all over beautiful Maui. u r 1/8 mi from the beach its pretty,prisitne, and can accomodate almost everyone.I have two hip replacements and I was able to ambulate to the beach and on the sand.There was even a pathway for wheelchairs right to the sand.. We enjoyed feeding and watching the little island birds that came up to the lanai right out from the sliding glass door every morning with our fresh pineapple and warm buttery muffins. We enjoyed the washer and dryer feature right there on the premises- It was great and extremely convenient.Maid service were available per the owners. Internet access was available in the master bedroom and was great-high speed and worked well.We utilized our laptop.We always felt at home- The condo's swimming pool is impecably maintained.The housing was a well appointed 1 bdrm with a pull out sofa so all of us had comfy areas.The kitchen was AEK and there was TV and video possibilities but frankly,we found so much to do that after 3 days we found more adventures and picturesque scenery to discover,so most of our rest time was sleep time because we had so much to do. The condo in Wailea made it affordable,easy ,conveinient and fun.There was a BBQ and we grilled many favorites from home.And dont forget that fresh pineapple- DAILY and we had that every single am-(and I had it every time we came back to the quarters)-It really was so lucious,so mouth watering- I can smell and taste the sweetness at this very moment- We observed a FEW Killer Whales breeching(apparently a rare event)and heard their calls while we were even at the beach and under the water!.Skin diving was spectacular as well as the turtles we saw on our excursion for a day at Molikini. -We saw the most spectacular lightning from the comfort of our condo one night, 11:45pm- It was beautiful,eerie,spectacular,warm and neat-all at the same time.Next day was absolutely SPECTACULAR -perfect day weather-wise- 81degrees ,very little wind and of all places to be cloud free, there is a volcano that is always in a cloud on Maui-its beautiful and spectacular and wet at the top.This particular day- the storm had come the previous night and blew out the clouds- It really was amazing! We went horse back riding and observed some beautiful vistas and took the Old Pineapple Express for a historical lo

I really enjoyed my stay in this Maui condo. There was all new amenities, and it was very comfortable. I bbq'd out on the patio that overlooks the ocean and let me tell you it doens't get much better then that. Also, it was nice having a kitchen and my own space as opposed to staying in a hotel where I can never seem to get as much rest, relaxation and recuperation. I strongly give this condo two thumbs up and would recomend it to my own mother :)

A more beautiful place in paradise I have never seen. I have been to Maui 8 or 9 times and have never stayed in a more hospitable place with such nice owners. The view is spectacular and the interior of the condo equally beautiful. Everything we needed was available in the condo and the restaurants nearby were terrific. We will be coming back before the year is over. I rate this an 11 on a scale of 10
