Comfortable and relaxing craftsman-style home just a few steps from the water on pristine Lake Burton. You can see the lake from every room in the house. Immaculately decorated and maintained, with modern furnishings and electronics. Boat house with available slip is lakeside and 300 feet inside a no-wake zone. Spectacular mountain views are just outside the cove and boat rentals are just ten minutes away. Fish right off the dock or fly fish on the Soque River only 15 minutes away.

The house has an open floor plan with tongue and groove walls in the main living areas. The kitchen is fully furnished and the dining room table can easily seat 12. Two excellent restaurants are less than a mile away and both are within walking distance. In the evenings, enjoy a glass of wine on the outdoor patio with fireplace and satellite radio. All bedrooms are spacious and have new, ultra-comfortable, top-of-the-line mattresses and bedding.

  • Had a grant time the first week of August, 2009. We chose this beautiful summer house because it accommodated a large number of family members (7 adults and 2 kids). We loved the secluded cove part of the lake, where we swam and canoed with no worry about fast boat traffic. We definitely recommend renting this house because of the well appointed decorations on the inside, large comfortable kitchen area, driveway capacity(we had up to six cars at one time with no parking problems). The house is soundproof which is nice when you have kids and many adults living under one roof for a week. Highly recommend Water's Edge restaurant at LaPrades Marina for a nice dinner out. If you're into fishing be sure to bring plenty of flys as the fish love them. We didn't have much luck catching fish out front of the house. Cruising around Lake Burton is a fest for the eyes. The summer homes are astonishingly beautiful. Thanks to Julie who was always responsive to any questions. Enjoy.

  • What an absolute treasure! This is one of the loveliest homes I have ever seen---it's not just a house, it's a home. This home is perfect for family gatherings and reunions and able to accomodate 15 people easily. Views of Lake Burton are absolutely beautiful and we loved spending time down at the dock during the day and in front of the fire on the porch in the evening. Everything about this place is so well-appointed that as soon as you walk through the doors you feel right at home! If you want to enjoy all that the North Georgia Mountains and Lake Burton have to offer--then there is no better way to go than right here!

  • Absolutely wonderful house, the best in which we have stayed. This is not a house owned to rent, it is a house owned to live in, which the owners just happen to rent. It has many nice touches which make you feel comfortable and at home. Great views and water access. I hate to post this because we will be coming back and I would prefer fewer people to know just how nice this place is!

Our family's favorite time was just sitting on the porch talking and laughing about the events/adventures of the day. I think several of us could have stayed up all night talking.   • 5 BR Home located on Lake Burton with a fabulous cove view!!! This immaculate new home is ideal for two families or 10-12 guests. The two living areas and three full master suites make this the perfect home for two families. The screened porch and outside fireplace are favorites of guests. This home is located on a private lot, offering extra privacy and parking which guests are looking for on a vacation, with the convenience of a short stroll to dock. The kids bunk room is sure to please with three bunks. In addition to a game room for kids and adults. The living room and dining room are perfect for entertaining with a dining area to accommodate ten. The living room also features a cozy fireplace. The spacious gourmet kitchen features granite countertops and lends itself for entertaining and family dinners. Sit back and relax on the screened porch or take a short walk and enjoy the lake. There is also a grill for those special summer meals. This is truly a home to be enjoyed and remembered. Our family will definitely rent this home again soon.

  • A fantastic "get away" house...will accomodate a large group well...on a scale of 1-10 a definite "10"...first class all the way....sitting on the dock in the fall air was just great and the porch/outdoor living room with the fireplace got rave reviews from all...would do again in a flash...just stay longer...

  • Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us! Your home is absolutely beautiful and so well appointed - much more than one would expect for a rental home. The porch area off the back of the house was our group's favorite gathering place in the morning and the evening. Everyone went home saying that they would like to have such a porch at their own place. The lake is very quaint and offers beautiful views and cool and clear water. Your location just inside the no wake zone makes for easy boat docking and minimal boat traffic. The dock area offers great relation and such easy swimming access. The canoe was an added bonus ... several of the adults couldn't wait to get in and paddle around and a few of the children were able to experience their first canoe trip. Thanks Julie and Mike for a wonderful few days. We look forward to our next visit.

  • This house is incredible! The serenity and views were awesome. We rented it for a fall get together with four other couples and everyone could not believe what a nice house we had rented. Having the restaurants close by was also nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there.
