Whitefish, Montana... Spacious, with vaulted and dramatic cathedral ceilings, this two bedroom, two and a half bath Condominium has 1100 square feet of living space with breathtaking views on three sides of the Flathead Lake and Valley, ski slopes, and Glacier Park. This quiet, upper end unit of Kristianna Condominiums is surrounded by tamaracks, firs, and pines, yet it offers ski-in access and is only 200 yards from Chair Three.
Entering under the portico of a replica eleventh century, Swiss-designed, mountain lodge, the entrance to the Condominium is from a heated common area that has a convenient firewood locker just outside your door. This recently-redecorated, end unit includes numerous designer features such as locally-crafted Montana furniture and fixtures as well as original artwork by world-renowned Glacier Park artists Peter Moore and David Eubank.
This condominium features Montana wood products such as tamarack pillars, cedar plank decks, and knotty cedar ceilings and walls. The natural wood used throughout radiates the warmth and reflected light of the wood burning stove located in the living room... where you can relax when you need a break from the unspoiled Rocky Mountain world that lies just outside the door.
Stocked with games, books and DVDs, you do not have to go out for evening entertainment. You can also stay in touch with your office with wireless Internet access. The Condominium features a common private lounge just across from the main entrance and front desk where you can relax and meet with other condo guests and friends.
The Jacuzzi and Sauna rooms are just downstairs from your front door. It is also just a short walk to village shops and restaurants. Kristianna Condominiums are distinguished by their onsite housekeeping service and management, as well as front desk support and concierge services.
The second floor of this unit contains a complete, fully-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, disposal, microwave, spices, and breakfast bar), formal dining area, half bath and living room with 50' Flat Screen TV/CD/DVD and premium cable service. There are two bedrooms with large closets, and two full baths on the entry lower level, one of which has a second TV/VCR. Each bed has its own plush down comforter.
Sleeping Arrangements: The larger of the two bedrooms has a double bed, set of twin-size bunkbeds, and attached bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also an Italian leather sleeper sofa in the living room. The Condominium sleeps up to eight.

This mountain condo is a beautiful home with all the comforts of home. There is a fully equipped kitchen, flat screen tv, leather furniture, fireplace and mountain decor to give you the comforts of home while enjoying beautiful panoramic views and a close proximity to the Village area. At the end of a long ski day, it is great to ski right into the parking lot from the nearby trail and hop in the hot tub. Go to sleep under the down comforter and wake up re-energized to ski again! Our family of 5 spent ten nights at this condo and had a wonderful time! It had all the comforts of home and then some. The moose motif decor was delightful. The location on the Big Mountain ski resort was perfectly suited to many summer time adventures as well: zip-lining, the alpine slide, the treetop walk, restaurants, spa, and gondola lift to the Summit restaurant. Nearby, the charming towns of Whitefish and BigFork, as well as Glacier National Park, kept us busy with sightseeing, shopping, and enjoying nature. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit the area, especially families with kids.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

A Perfect Mountain Summer Retreat

We arrived at this beautiful condo about two weeks before the Big Mountain Ski Village begins its summer season. It is nicely furnished in Montana decor. We had all the conveniences of home - spacious living area with vaulted ceiling, plush leather couch and chairs, large HDTV with cable service, comfortable beds and bathrooms well stocked with linens and towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. The condo management company staffs an office on the premisis, and the manager is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing in the building's indoor spa and sauna with attached shower/changing rooms. We also used the building's convenient laundry facilities.Everything about the property is clean and well maintained. The village grocery and deli was open, if you did not want to go to town for groceries. But we found downtown Whitefish loaded with great restaurants, western bars, and shopping. The Black Star Brewery was one of my favorite watering holes. We enjoyed dining at Cooper's, Buffalo Cafe, and MacKenzie River Pizza Company. Our main attraction to the area is exploring (and for me,fly fishing) Glacier National Park. The scenery is spectacular around MacDonald Lake and Apgar Village. We also enjoyed our hike up to beautiful Avalanche Lake. The Going to the Sun Road was still closed by snow, but we had plenty of park to explore. It was too early for the best trout fishing, since the streams were fast and swollen with snow melt. I will try again in the late summer. (PS - No fishing license is required inside the park.) But bring some warm clothing with you, even if you go in June. It snowed three inches on the mountain once during our stay, but it quickly melted. And there are bears in these hills. While on our way to Whitefish for supper, we watched two large adult black bears cross the road about a mile down the road from the village. We loved our Kristiana Condo Big Mountain experience!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It is encouraging to hear a visitor confirm the attraction I feel for the mountain and NW Montana even before the resort's official summer opening.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: Although I live and work most of the year in Ohio, I am spoiled by Montana skiing and look forward to a time when I can spend the winter and a significant portion of the summer at my Montana home. Until then, I am happy to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Whitefish Mountain:
After vacationing and skiing in Whitefish since the late 1980s when our son and daughter were small, we were able to purchase this unit after we finished paying college tuition for our kids. The spectacular 270 degree views, summer and winter, and easy access to the slopes and village were what drew us to this unit over other locations.
