Awesome Vacation Spot
Awesome Vacation Spot
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! We particularly enjoyed the patio that offered a more than amazing view of the area. The kids loved the nature trail that was always full of wildlife and great photo oppurtunities for myself. We also discovered waterfalls in the area that were absolutely breathtaking. The inside is very clean, cozy, and gave us plenty of sleeping space! We are looking forward to our next trip because the cabin is in such a great location and there is so much to do in the surrounding area!! Oh and don't let me forget we were able to bring our dog with us which was definitely a plus!!

Why the Owner Chose Brevard:
Our family had visited the area since the 1950's and enjoyed the area very much. we had a uncle that owned a real 1800's log cabin that we spent many summers escaping the heat of the south Carolina low country. the temp rearly get above the 80's around the cabin. My uncle gave my parents this property for a wedding present. A few years latter they build this house.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
I think the single best thing I enjoy about the area is the abilitynto get away an do nothing. The peacefulness. when I want to do something it is usually low key. I have developed a few routines over the years. We enjoy riding for lunch in Highlands and making a stop in Cashiers shopping at the Highland Hiker or Brookings. Cashiers is about 20 min away up a windy mountain road. highlands has so much to see all the a summer destination for Florida residents. I alway try to fit a little fishing in. the fall and spring are the best time but you can fish all year. If we come up with friends I go fishing for a few hours in the morning and them meet up before everyone gets moving around. In the summer months tubing on the French Broad is very very fun for everyone children pets and elderly. I promise you if is is a warm day this will be remembered for a lifetime. If you have two cars leave one at the pickup point and leave from the park in Rosman. you can rent Tubes for $5 each. If you like antiquing You will find plenty in any direction. Eating. We enjoy the many area restaurants. Our favorite rester ant is 5 min away Brown Trout Grill. We usually like to eat at Big Mikes in Brevard the first nite of our visit. They have pizza, burgers, an more. very good place. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 20 miles down the road. if younare new to the area this would be good to visit. We don't do much anymore because we have been so many times. If you want to make your weekend a rafting trip the Chatooga is only 45 min away. We have used the Nantahala outdoor center. I would like to mention something I just recently found to do. If you mind a little walk mean 20 min, Panthertown Valley. Panther town Valley is something to see. It is refered to as the Yosemite of the east. It is a valley floor on top of the mountain. it is not very hard to visit an only about 4 mile away
