Saratoga Beach is between Courtenay and Campbell River , which are both only a 20 minutes drive away. We are located in the charming ,friendly, farming community of Black Creek. A local market ,coffee shop ,artisan gift shop and liquor store , a lovely 15 minute walk .
The location of this home is highly desirable..This home is located in a Resort Area, close to the Pacific Playground Marina Walk to the Glazier fed Oyster River and take in spawning salmon, hike the extensive nature trails or just chill in the river! Visit Mt. Washington Resort which is only 25 minutes away!.In the summer try hiking in the alpine meadow, Mt biking or pack a picnic and enjoy the view from the top!
The Timberframe Great Room is the heart of the home and faces the Ocean. It has a Custom Gourmet Kitchen with built in appliances and a Jenn Aire Cook Top in the magnificent 10 foot granite island.
An open concept Dining Room and Family Room with a Corner Gas Fireplace are next to the Covered Ocean view 10x26 Timberframe Deck with NGB
Relax in the Master bedroom in the 2 person Jacuzzi while appreciating the ocean view or sunset! Enjoy a 2 person steam shower . When you are ready to retire, set the mood with the 3 sided gas fireplace .
There is an adjoining room available with a daybed for a small child who needs to be close to mom and dad. The Master Room has two separate entrances, with Private Decks for enjoying Sunrises and Sunsets !
There is also a private, intimate sitting room , with a beautiful ocean view and a Wood Burning/or gas River Rock Fireplace.
The second bedroom we call the Retro Room, has its own Private Entrance as well and a Deck for enjoying quiet evening sunsets. It al has a 4 piece bath complete with a Reto 6 ft. Slipper Tub, a 4 ft Shower .
The side entrance/mud room entrance, with a 2 piece bathroom , is beside to the Laundry Room with front loading machines,conveniently located between the side entrance and kitchen which are connected by 2 pocket doors. The Recreation Room is fully finished with 3 piece bath ,wet bar, 1 Bunk Room b with 2 double / bunks and 2 single bunks. In the Nascar theme recreation room , there are 2 /fold down ikea double beds which can become one king bed for you to relax while watching the 52' TV with surround sound .There is a separate entrance to back yard and fire pit and barbacue area.
Need a bit more space? Beside the side entrance is the' Lazy Dog' cabin with new kitchen and new 3 piece bath and Queen Sleigh Bed ..It has its own cedar deck and barbacue, ocean view and access to the back yard outdoor kitchen with natural gas barbecue
The Lazy Dog comes with the home rental but if you feel you won't be needing the cabin, we can adjust the priceto suite your needs.
We are up high to see ,feel and hear the ocean..Just walk across the street to explore the beach.

We stayed in that house from Oct 5 till Oct 8th and had a wonderful time. This was the best house ever we rented for a long weekend. All rooms with TV and everything so clean and brand new. We booked the vacation rental property just as it had become available as a new rental. The property description is very accurate, there is so much more! The property looks even better than the photos and property has been completed to a very high standard with all the comforts you could wish for. Immaculate and very well presented. The location was perfect for our family of six. Three minute walk to beach, convenient local shops and only a 20 minute drive to Campbell River. Walks available from door. The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel special we even had a seafood bbq made for us and had a lovely evening with all. We stayed for 8 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone, our teenagers particularly loved 'the den' where they could spend time away from parents in the cinema room and having their own bar/kitchen area.. We enjoyed being able to walk to Oyster River directly from the house, the walks on the beach, watching the sunset/sunrise. Campbell River is a lovely town, icecream on the pier. We visited a lovely craft market where we all managed to buy gifts and treat ourselves. Saratoga Speedway is worth a visit, we attended a race night this was a first for all of us and we had a fun evening. The boys returned to have a race in the go-carts whilst the girls went for a round of crazy golf and icecream! We all enjoyed an excellent meal at 'Salmon Point' , sat outside with beautiful views. As visitors from the UK this was our first visit to Canada and we loved it. We spent 3 weeks and stayed in various properties, Home by the Sea is a very special place and we could not speak more highly of it. Thanks for an amazing stay.Owner response: Thanks Carol! About the owner: Hi! I'm Donna . I've been married 25 years to my husband Joe (i got lucky !) and we have 3 grown great kids.I work in Fort Mc Murray Alberta as an E.A. in the Public School.I love my job! I love kids! Joe and I have been working together on this home for 2 very long years! Likely the longest years of our marriage, starting while i was still living in the home (bad idea...never do this!) We began in the summer of 2010. The Summer 2012 marked the opening of our Vacation Rental Property! Working in Fort McMurray during the lovely clear, cold winters and returning to the island for the beautiful summers ! I have the best of both worlds LOL
