Fisherman's Village is a luxurious beachfront condominium complex with just 60 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 10 minute walk on the beach Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be the nicest quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's elegance, fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, room service, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, 3 jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massage, facials, pedicures and manicures too.
This is one of the largest two bedroom units at Fisherman's Village. It is 1625 Square feet and has two balconies!

One NEW feature of Fisherman's Village is an optional Meal Plan. This is your option which can be decided after you arrive at the complex and used one day, but not the next if you choose. For $58/per person per day this includes TWO meals: Breakfast and either lunch or dinner at Fisherman's restaurant. Plus unlimited alcoholic drinks (non-Call) during the day into the evening! The meal plan with no alcohol runs about $10 less per day. Prices of meal plan, spa treatments and such are subject to change.
Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles, kayaks, boogie boards and snorkel gear! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike.
Playa Del Carmen is located just 40 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powerdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break kids and towering hotels. In fact, Playa has a building height restriction to a maximum of 3 stories!
Fisherman's Village is just a 10 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk to the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. We can recommend reliable airport transportation to and from Cancun International to Fisherman's Village.

I traveled all over Mexico including Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Cancun, Mazatlan and then when I finally visited Playa del Carmen, it was love at first site! I not only loved the powdery white sand and turquoise water, but I think Playa del Carmen has a fun atmosphere. 5th Avenue is a long outdoor pedestrian mall where you can sit and have a gourmet latte, a shot of tequila, a romantic dinner or a fun and wild night with your friends. There is entertainment, shopping, great dining and wonderful people...what more could you want?
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The people of Mexico are a warm and inviting group of individuals. The town of Playa del Carmen has a wonderful charm to it. 5th Avenue is a pedestrian mall that runs about 1.5 miles through the center of town, so whether you are into drinking & dancing or shopping & dining- 5th Avenue has it all! Our property is just a 10 minute walk to the ferry dock and 5th Avenue.

The pictures don't lie...it looks exactly like this. Very nice place in quite Playacar. The property is situated between private residences (houses) and a few mega-resorts down south on the beach. What you end up with is a beautiful strip of very private beach away from the hub-bub. From the balcony of the unit, you can't see any buildings except Fishermans. Gives this a very private feel. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and willing to help. Highly recommend going out on one of the hotel-owned Hobie-cats or trying your hand at windsurfing. Both the Hobie-cat's (2) and windsurfing boards are brand new and free to use. Luis and David who run the "activities" are knowledgable about how to use the boats, will take you out and teach you to sail. Fisherman's wildly exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for a better time with the family (2 kids 10 and 8). Akumal is 20 minutes away where you can snorkel and swim w/ the Turtles. Many Cenotes in the area if you're into diving. A truly memorable vacation!

This just happened to me yesterday with another guest yesterday and my heart sank, so your review has lifted my spirits and renewed my faith that our little slice of paradise is appreciated and emraced by other guests like you, Fred. The property is an excellent location, quiet, beautiful beach & wonderful staff but the unit is in poor condition & needs extensive renovations to be a quality rental. A/C in the master bedroom didn't work. The unit & the furnishings were very dirty. Until it is renovated, we couldn't recommend this property.
Owner response:While I appreciate your comments, I disagree that the property is dirty and that the AC did not work. We did respond prompty when notified and had the on-site property manager immediately send the maid into to go over the cleaning again. And he assured me that the AC was tested and works perfectly well. (we told him to buy a new one if necessary) None the less, we did offer you an opportunity to return at our expense after we remodel the kitchen and do a little remodeling this Spring, but to say that you would remove your review only if we refunded half your money isn't fair because you aren't giving us an opportunity to earn a glowing review after your second stay. We have plenty of excellent reviews just as the unit exists now, so nothing is being hidden from guests. And as you can see from the other reviews, most guests have been very pleased with the quality of the unit even as it exists now. The low rates we are charging today reflect that the unit is not brand new. The rates for brand new or just renovated units on the beach in Playa run about double the price they paid!

Fisherman's Village is a fabulous place to take the family and a very short walk to town. The kids loved using the kayaks and boogie boards and all the nearby activities. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Fisherman's Village with our 16 year old daughter, 15 year old friend and our 5 year son. We had a great time, they loved it. The unit is located 15 minute walk to Fifth Avenue where all the shopping and restaurants are. We enjoyed the volleyball that was played in pool daily. They had activities for the kids to keep them busy and out of trouble. It is a perfect size resort and it was quiet for a week of relaxing by the pool or on the beach.

My friends and I recently stayed at Fishermen's Village in Playacar, Mexico. We were very impressed by the friendly, attentive hospitality during our one week stay.The pool area offered all the amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel,but with the charm and peacefulness you would expect from a smaller hotel. The suites were very large by any standard and we especially liked the privacy, each bedroom had a private entrance and bathroom.l also liked the marble floors. The hotel restaurant offers an optional all inclusive food and beverage plan.It can be purchased for as many days as you require, good idea if you planning daily excursions. Fishermen's location is a 15 minute walk from popular 5th ave or 5 minute walk from the Cozumel ferry. Great Location.Great Time.Great Value I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed the place. Great view of the ocean and a pretty nice beach for swimming. The other guests were great. Met some really cool people from England and Nova Scotia. We are planning to return this March and hang out with some of our new friends. The location of Fishermen's is perfect. Far enough away from Playa to be a nice quiet neighborhood and close enough to walk if you want. The staff of the resort were great. Friendly and helpful. The option to eat in the restaurant is a really nice amenity. Not many resorts that small have that good a restaurant.
