  "Really Great Property! Golf at Bell Bay Included!" - 4 Stars We stayed here for a week in July 2012 and found everything to be exactly as described. The vacation home is clean, spacious, nicely decorated and all the extras make it worth the price. Unlimited golf for 4 at Bell Bay Golf Course, including 2 power golf carts, access to the amenities at Inverary Resort e.g. kayaks, paddle boats, tennis courts, indoor swimming pool. The location is great too- 2 min drive to golf course, 5 min to shops lining Main Street in Baddeck, Marina, restaurants etc...The vacation home provides plenty of towels during your stay and also has a washer/dryer which was nice to have. There is free Wi-Fi which worked well and 4 flat screen TV’s- the beds are super comfy too. The kitchen was well stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - golfed every day, checked out the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, took a sailing tour on the amoeba (which I highly recommend), bought fresh fish and mussels at the Fish market at the Marina, did a short hike to Usige Ban Falls (trails not very well marked but nice), did a day trip around the Cabot trail (beautiful scenery), took a ferry over to Kidston Island and sat on the little beach there and swam out to the raft, played tennis, went to the Canada Day Fireworks in Baddeck (fantastic!), took kids go carting nearby, and explored the little shops along the main street in Baddeck. Very relaxing holiday- with the golf there was enough to do to keep you amused. Lovely place to visit and great property.

  As the "unofficial" trip co-ordinator, the pressure was certainly on yours truly from my travel companions to deliver a vacation experience of a certain level - I am happy to report we hit a home run. The accommodations were excellent and the weather gods certainly smiled on Cape Breton during our stay. The staff at the golf club was very accommodating and everything went off without a hitch. We are already planning to book two condos next year for an expanded group of eight.

  We found the Scottish Thistle a beautifully decorated and elegant place to be while we enjoyed relaxing overlooking the Bras D’Or lake. We particularly took to the cupola with the 360 view that stretched for a great distance. This was a favorite spot to sit and read. We made good use of the barbeque and appreciated the serenity of the area. We also appreciated having all the amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine and dryer right in the unit. It was so quiet and peaceful at night and never heard road traffic. This was a perfect spot to hideaway and relax. Thank you for sharing this magical place with us.
