Our beautifully decorated 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is in a nice neighborhood on the north side of one of the most charming small towns in Michigan. The location is ideal as it is walking distance to shopping, dining, golf, tennis, and beaches both on Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan.

Every type of water activity is close by. Located down the street from 30 miles of scenic paved paths along Lake Michigan that are perfect for running or biking. Just 30 minutes away from a few of the best ski hills in Northern Michigan.

The home is fully furnished with many amenities. A portable crib, high chair, and other baby gear are available in the house as well as an assortment of family/children's board games and activities. Bikes, picnic table, hammock are just a few of the extras provided outside. Large gated yard and huge play structure make it an ideal home for families. No smoking/occasional pets allowed.

  • We have been renting in Charlevoix for years and found these accomadations to be one of the nicest we've found. The layout of the home worked well for our large family. There were activities for old and young alike. The use of the recreation equipment was a very nice bonus. We hope to stay here again and would reccomend this home to family and friends.

  • We had the most wonderful vacation in this outstanding rental. The home was in excellent condition, with outstanding ammeneties(bikes, bar-b-que, play equipment, fire pit, toys galore, a great yard, etc.,etc.!!) It was exceptionally clean, spacious and in a great location for beaches, downtown and walking and biking. We highly recommend this terrific rental.

  • What a beautiful vacation home, inside and out! We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. This property has plenty of room and is filled with everything you and your family would ever need. From a firepit outside to a stocked garage with toys for the family, we were never without something to do. A short walk to town for ice cream, the grocery store across the street, the golf course 2 blocks away, the church basketball hoops one block away...there is something here for the whole family. Charlevoix is beautiful and relaxing. I recommend the sunset sailboat cruise downtown in the summer. Not to be missed!

  • Our family of 5 and my brother in law's family of 5 have been vacationing at "The Big White House" for the past 3 summers. As both families have smaller children the location is perfect. A walk to town for an ice cream or shopping, the IGA a block away, a short walk to beautiful Depot Beach under beautiful tree lined streets, a fenced yard with a play stucture for the kids provides peace of mind as we grill ouside and enjoy our cocktail hour(s). Golf is two blocks away so my brother in law and I don't have to "sell our souls" to the ladies for a round of golf. Charlevoix muni allows you to play nine in about two hours. The walking/bike tails are right outside the door and beautiful. The dunes of Lake Michigan are a few blocks away on the other side and you can always walk to town for a trip to Beaver Island. As the parents of 5 year old triplets "The Big White House" has provided us with rest, relaxation, adventure, family memories and fun for the past three years. We consider ourselves blessed to have found all of this for our vacation memories and it is our plan to continue returning to "The Big White House".
