Location: Jackson, Jackson Hole Area, Wyoming, USA (Four miles to Jackson Hole Ski Resort) View Map
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6-7)
Nestled among the whispering pines of The Aspens, located on Moose Wilson Road, this three bedroom plus loft, two full bath, mountain hideaway is a perfect destination for a family or small group.
Upon entering this cozy, well furnished home, one will enjoy a warm, inviting living room, equipped with a Vermont wood-burning stove, TV, VCR, DVD, and stereo. Large windows allow for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. Moose and many of the region's birds frequent the surrounding pines, aspens and willows throughout the year.
A well equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area, along with two bedrooms and a full bath complete the downstairs living space.
The first bedroom has twin beds and a TV, and the second has a set of bunk beds. Both rooms are comfortable and welcoming. Above the kitchen a ladder leads to a loft area with a queen-size bed, usually a child's first choice for sleeping accommodations.
A laundry room off the first level leads to the newly installed hot tub and outdoor deck in the back of the house. Upstairs a cozy landing welcomes readers or folks just wanting to relax. The spacious and private master bedroom with a queen size bed and bath (with shower only) can be accessed from the landing.
Some mornings one can spot a cow moose and calf in the backyard from the bathroom windows or hear mountain chickadees chirping in the dense pines.
One of the best features of this wonderful family home is the outside redwood deck that wraps around the front and side of the house. Also, after a long day of hiking or skiing, take time to turn on the jets and enjoy a relaxing and well deserved hot tub in the backyard. Summer barbecues and napping in the Pawley's Island hammock are a must. A detached garage is available for one car.

Adorable, well provisioned cabin in a great location

This home exceeded our expectations, and provided a perfect location for two couples to spend a week together in the Jackson area. The place is located perfectly between the town of Jackson, and the town of Teton Village, each about 4-5 miles away at most. There is so much to do in the surrounding area, which is spectacularly beautiful. We enjoyed cooking at home with a kitchen that had everything we needed, as well as sampling the great close by local restaurants. There is a paved "community trail" system nearby which was a perfect location for running/cycling in the mornings. The backyard was visited on 3 of our 5 days there by a momma moose and her twin calves and we could safely observe them from the many windows in the home without being too close for comfort! Despite many trips to Banff/Jasper, Yellowstone, and other "moose rich" areas I've never had the chance to see these creatures for so long and so (safely) close as at this home. We enjoyed the fireplace with a good supply of firewood, our husbands appreciated being able to record college football games on the tv/digital recorder, and we made use of the available books on hiking and fauna/wildlife in the Jackson/Teton area. We also really appreciated having the wifi. The Swifts were super responsive to emails and provided us with all the information we needed, both to get to and use their wonderful home. I hope we can come back in the future, maybe for a ski trip. We will certainly recommend it to friends!

My husband and parents spent a week at Swift cabin. It was wonderful! The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking at home, but there were numerous excellent restaurants in the area. The location is very convenient to Jackson, Wilson, Teton Village and both National Parks. We did a lot of sightseeing during the day, but it was great to come home to the hot tub or to just sit on the deck and listen to birds. The neighborhood moose also paid a visit! We had planned this trip for almost a year and it surpassed our expectations. The only was it could have been better would be to have more time!

My husband, my parents and I stayed at Swift Cabin for a week. The cabin exceeded our expectations. Everything you could possibly need is here, and it was immaculately clean. The owner was extremely helpful with recommendations of things to do, restaurants and activities. The location is great-easy access to Teton Village and Grand Tetons National Park/ It was also a convenient drive to Jackson and Yellowstone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook at home, but short distance from numerous excellent restaurants. The owners also had bicycles and walking sticks for hiking, and the hot tub was great to come home to. The only complaint I had about this trip was we needed more time!

I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for allowing us the privilege of staying in your beautiful home in Jackson Hole. This was the first time in 27 years that my sons and I returned to Jackson Hole - now with my granddaughters and daughter-in-law. We had a dream vacation and staying at the cabin was a highlight of the trip. The cabin was exactly as portrayed in the photos and was very clean and felt like home. When we first arrived, my daughter-in-law said - look at the horse in the trees -- and it was a moose - everyone squeeled with delight. Thank you again - everything was perfect and our stay was part of a dream vacation and probably one that we will repeat in the future. I would highly recommend Swift's Cabin to anyone who wants a special place to enjoy the beauty of the Grand Tetons. I also want to say it was a privilege communicating with the Swift's - they were VERY responsive to any questions I had and always got back to me by the next day. This was a great experience. Thank you.

"We were extremely happy with this property. It is definitely perfect for the type of group we had. It started with us pulling up to a well plowed driveway and unloading the car, and a moose comes slowly walking down the driveway minding her own business. It was great. If I didn't know better, they cued the moose to walk in for an additional experience. The inside was very accommodating, clean, and felt very home like. The 3 rooms and loft were great sleeping arrangements for our group. It's located just off the same road as the Jackson Hole Ski Resort which was only a 5 to 7 minute drive. Perfect amount of time to get back from the slopes and jump into the hot tub. And it was only 15 minutes from the Town of Jackson which was great to visit during the night life. I would definitely recommend this properly to a small group of friends or a family. "
