Two-story waterfront house, recently renovated on a very private level lot. Three bedrooms, two full baths, Den, Living Room and separate Dining Room. Beautifully appointed, sleeps up to 7.
Lake Burton is the Southeast's finest lake destination. Spectacular views, cool clear water, and moderate summer-time temperatures. This home is designer-owned, custom built, and recently renovated with a mix of new and antique furniture accented by original art. It has a fabulous attached screened porch right on the waterfront for dining or just relaxing in the rocking chairs. The house is equipped with a fully digital electric cook-top, oven, warming tray, microwave oven and includes new hard-coat aluminum cookware and full utensils perfect for gourmet cooking or quick and easy casual meals. There is a Webber gas grill with all utensils so you can cook on the waterfront while enjoying a sunset.
Our private cove affords spectacular long views to the west and great swimming. You can enjoy the hammock strung between two trees in the shade of the side yard and you can bring your boat and tie up to our private dock. The boat ramp is just two minutes away.
2ND FLOOR:
The 2nd floor was designed to be a Master Suite.
The Master Bedroom overlooks the lake. It has a vaulted ceiling with antique heart pine beams, skylight and a queen-size bed. Just across the hall is a separate Den with a stone fireplace, a full-size sleeper sofa, Satellite TV and High Speed Internet. The master bath features a Jacuzzi jetted tub.
1ST FLOOR:
Bedroom #1 has a queen-size bed. Bedroom #2, "The Crew's Quarters" has a bunk bed. Dining room with stone fireplace. Living Room with Satellite TV, VCR and DVD. Bath with tub and shower. Kitchen - fully equipped. A fabulous Screen Porch with rocking chairs and dining table. Stone Terrace with covered swing. Private Boat dock & deck. Stainless Steel Gas Grill. Why the Owner Chose Lake Burton
Lake Burton is one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The water is clear and the water level doesn't vary 6" all summer. Although we just started sharing our cottage when we listed it with VRBO in 2006 we have owned it for almost 28 years. After two renovations, the most recent in the summer of 2006 it remains our family's favorite place in the world. We have been fortunate enough to rent our cottage it to some of the most wonderful people. By the way they take care of the cottage I assume they must love it as much as we do.

My background is in architecture, industrial and graphic design. My wife, Keri was once an active partner that ran the Interior Design Studio. Our firm helped shape many landmark buildings and projects scattered around the Southeastern United States but also in New York, California, Michigan, Texas and a few others as well as a few project here and there in Europe and the Middle East. Our cottage is not a reflection of our commercial, entertainment or resort work but more of a reflection of our desire to have a comfortable yet tasteful and simple place to get away. To relax. A place for the kids to play and enjoy while they make memories for later... and we get to watch it happen.
I also draw and paint and if you stay at the cottage you will find several originals on the walls. Most of which are of Lake Burton and the beautiful mahogany boats that live here.
